Had issues with TLC flooring which scratches really easily in our home despite being described as suitable for heavy domestic and heavy commercial use on their website. TLC sent Renew to independently inspect it. The inspector agreed it was not performing adequately, as did the installer, but the inspector advised that they are not allowed to give an opinion back to Renew only facts. The final report jumps to conclusions that are not evidenced anywhere and also misses out a lot of photos taken, including the amount of scratches and the steps we had taken to protect the flooring, such as protective shoes on the bottom of the legs of the dining room chairs. Renew refuses to have any discussions with me about the report as I am not the installer or manufacturer (where is the independence there) and refuses to provide any evidence of how they came to their conclusions. They advised that I can only get information through the manufacturer which I have not been able to get and why would they want to provide that as that information is unlikely to be in their favour.

Terrible after sales, bought there herring bone flooring and the joints started separating under 2 years of fitting . Rep came out and blamed the fitter but I got 3 diffrent fitting company’s out and they all said the same the joints are separating its faulty flooring . I spent a lot getting the floors done and to see the after sales in dealing with this blaming the fittings company rather than faulty product it’s terrible. I will never deal with them again

A carpet was fitted through my insurance and from the day it was installed, it has had a strong odur smell. I reported it immediately literally a few minutes after the fitters left. After I raised this concern an inspector came to visit and reported that they couldn’t smell anything.

The smell is very noticeable to me and has also been noticed by my neighbour and my family members.

I don’t even want the carpet replaced — I actually like it. I simply want to know what is causing the smell and how to get rid of it.

I am the person living with it every day, and the smell is so noticeable that I can smell it as soon as I walk into my home.

Was passed on to this company from Admiral when my wife had an accident in the house leading to blood loss over carpets and rise and recline chair. Absolutely terrible to deal with, no urgency no empathy dont listen totally incompetent. Told you're a priority but don't bother to get in touch for days. Continually had to phone Admiral to try and get things moving. Eventually gave up.

I made an insurance claim for my oak table. I’m with nationwide for contents insurance. I’ve never made an insurance claim ever so didn’t know what to expect. A light literally blew up on my dining table. I never even knew that could ever happen. I am absolutely gutted as I paid a lot of money for this table and I saved for it too. I was sent the link to upload photos from renew and to upload proof of purchase. 1 week later I get the news i will be getting the money to buy my table again. Everyone I spoke to was helpful and understanding. I’m gutted it couldn’t be repaired to be honest but I will be able to buy another table. I don’t normally write reviews but it’s rare these days you get any form of customer service. These guys were brilliant. Thank you.

Put claim in with Insurance comoany basically bleach has burnt a hole through my Harris tweed sofa (£2,000) sofa 9 years prior. Spoke to renew I can honestly say the reviews are all spot on and are a terrible experience to go through be warned ! At first renew informed my insurance that bleach did not cause the damage basically calling me a liar spoke to insurance and asked to send someone out to my home which they did I have to say it was not a pleasant experience with the person that they sent out to me very unprofessional he gave me a discount card for cleaning carpets it went straight into the bin .

RENEW COSTED MY SOFA FOR AN INCORRECT ITEM THEY COSTED IT FOR A NORMAL FABRIC SOFA AND NOT A HARRIS TWEED SOFA I ASKED IF I CHANGED THIS WOULD IT TAKE A LONG TIME SHE REPLIED YES IT WOULD TAKE A MONTH ! I SAID LEAVE IT TELL THE INSURANCE TO PAY OUT AND NEVER AGAIN . 3 MONTHS AFTER CLAIM STARTED AND PAYMENT WILL TAKE 3-5 DAYS SO EXPECTING IT ANY DAY NOW NEVER AGAIN !IF YOU ARE TOLD TO USE THESE MY ADVICE ASK THE INSURER TO USE A DIFFERENT COMPANY STAFF ARE TERRIBLE HERE AT RENEW TALK DOWN TO YOU AND VERY UN POLITE I EVEN TOLD RENEW THIS NEVER EVEN SAID OH WOULD YOU LIKE TO DISCUSS IT WITH A MANAGER AWFUL .

I wouldn’t even give this company 1 star! They are beyond usless, their inspectors write down the wrong carpet, then the company expect you to pay extra to get the exact carpet match! I would put more faith in Gary glitter looking after my kids than I would rely on these clowns to replace a carpet. DODGE LIKE THE PLAGUE!

Dealt with Renew via an insurance claim (and have raised a complaint with the insurer also) and it was a horrible experience.
Feckless, uninterested and distracted people handling the claim details, asking for the same information multiple times asking me to wait 5 minutes on the phone, whilst they "sorted something else out"
Told they would inspect and replace damaged flooring, they informed us this wasn't true and they'd just estimate the value to be passed back to insurers, then next phone call "oh yes we can send someone out" and then 3rd time "no we prefer to give the claim amount"
It wasn't a huge claim but the experience was drawn out, painful and I would honestly rather walk around on warped, water damaged floors than ever speak to renew again.

Very quick to inspect our ingress of water problem and come to a mutually acceptable solution. Renew were diligent in following up to determine when they could organise our replacement carpets and very patient over the (almost) 6 months it took to dry the place out and redecorate. Mr Clark (the assessor) and the staff on the phone were very friendly, helpful and polite.

The gentleman Carpet Gallery was extremely helpful when it came to deciding which carpet we should have, as it is along time since we have been involved in having to choose such an important item
