Jamie from RemapKings showed up and was competent, polite and professional from the get go. My TT mk2 was remapped and test driven within the hour, and the results are astonishing. I explained I was more interested in losing the ‘stock’ lag between gear change, and he reassured me not to worry about that, the mapping will eliminate it, and he wasn’t wrong !!!!

10/10 for the lads at RMK, a brilliant and easy way to tune your car, and to come to my home address was exceptional !! Great job Jamie

I recently had my Volkswagen Golf GTD Mk7 remapped through Remap Kings, with installation carried out by a Superchips technician.
Unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing.
Before the remap, the car was running without any obvious issues. Immediately after the remap, I started getting engine fault codes relating to the MAF sensor and an “invalid torque signal,” along with no noticeable performance improvement. The car feels no different to stock, which is not what you expect from a Stage 1 remap claiming around 20% gains.
When I contacted the company, I was told that these faults had previously been “deleted” in the ECU and therefore were not related to their map. However, this raises concerns in itself, as their software has clearly not been calibrated correctly for a vehicle with prior modifications (DPF, EGR, etc.), which they were made aware of before proceeding.
I also signed a waiver due to the vehicle’s previous modifications, but I feel this has been used to avoid addressing what appears to be an improperly configured map. I was then quoted £150 just to have the map removed, rather than being offered a solution or correction.
Overall, I expected a professional service and a noticeable improvement in performance. Instead, I’ve been left with new fault codes, no real gains, and additional cost to rectify the situation elsewhere.
I would advise others with modified vehicles to be cautious and ensure the map being provided is properly tailored, rather than a generic file.
