Arch Red Sky Insurance Arvostelua 

I submitted our claim in March of 2026. Received check for missed days of vacation the middle of June. Not sure when I would have received it if I hadn’t called. Still waiting on reimbursement of medical claims. I had to resubmit some documents which I didn’t know they needed. Communication seems to be lacking unless initiate it.

We purchased a travel insurance policy from Red Sky for a condo rental in the Outer Banks. Unfortunately my husband was deemed medically unable to travel, and we notified the condo rental of our need to cancel on April 16th and filed the necessary paperwork (including Physician Statement) with Red Sky promptly (April 20th). Instead of simply paying this very straightforward claim immediately in good faith, they instead sent repeated faxes to the doctor to re-ask the same questions that were answered on the Physician Statement. If you look at BBB or Yelp, you will note this is not an uncommon tactic for them to delay or avoid claim payment. Doctors don't have time to re-answer the same questions. I had to get their corporate counsel involved to then have them miraculously find some coverage. Even then, they did not pay the entire rental cost, even after several emails pointing out this fact. Instead of double checking with the condo rental company to verify the full cost, they just ignored me. The vacation rental company did reimburse this final cost which should have been paid by Red Sky.
Take a tip. Call Tin Leg or some other insurer, but avoid this one.

Your company, and Cory in particular, were just incredible. My mother was severely injured the morning we were to leave for Florida, and was unable to travel. Fortunately, we've taken your insurance for every trip, and you did not disappoint. The claim instructions were easy to follow, and the uploads weren't overly burdensome. I followed up several days later, and there was a snafu with the JP Morgan email. I was coming close to the 10-day choice for electronic payment or paper check. As I don't trust the mail anymore, I got your representative, Cory, on the phone and between him and his manager, we managed to get my funds deposited the next day. I cannot tell you how incredible your reps were - I also had Helen who gave me the Chase information, and all concerned were just wonderful about asking how my mother was doing, and Cory stayed on the phone with me until the fund transfer went through. I would tell ANYONE who was traveling to use your insurance company. As an aside, my mother is recovering, got her 5 staples out, but the recovery is slower than I thought it would be, but she IS 90 so I guess I'm just impatient! Again, thank you and all your representatives for making it so easy to deal with the situation that could have been more tragic and more frustrating. Arch Red Sky was very responsive. I gathered all the required information and sent it in promptly. My claim was approved quickly. I didn’t receive the link to claim in the 3 days it said I would. A quick phone call and it was sent instantly. Very pleased with their service.

Filing an insurance claim is a dreaded event BUT…..became a great experience with how respectful and helpful Cory was! Thank you!

Can I give no stars? I booked a spring break trip to ski at Keystone Mountain in Keystone Colorado. We rented a condo through Summit County Mountain Retreats in the River Run village, as we would not have a car and we could walk to the gondola and restaurants in the mountain village. We did also purchase the travel insurance because spring skiing can easily be cancelled due to weather warming. This year, of course Keystone Mountain and many others closed early 04/05/26. They would be closing two days before we arrived on 04/07/26. So, we weigh our options and call places in the village to see if anything would still be open, all told me they would be closed the day after the mountain closes. So we decide to cancel and file the insurance claim...fast forward they deny my claim stating the resort was accessible. (WHAT?)
Mind you, we would have no car, the mountain is closed, the mountain village is closed, but yet I should still be able to go and enjoy my trip?! What the actual F are they thinking???? DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!! And when I called to speak to a rep, they blamed the resort and stated they were the ones who told Red Sky it was open and accessible even though I provided proof of the resort closure.

I purchased insurance for a trip 2 days after my 87 year old husband had a minor fall.
He went to see the doctor immediately and we asked the doctor if he thought my
husband would be able to do an in-state travel in 6 weeks from then.
The doctor said that would be fine.
We then purchased the trip as well as the trip insurance.
Two days before the trip my husband had some pain and we went back to the doctor.
At that time the doctor advised us that we cancel the trip.
I was denied reimbursement by Arch- filed an appeal and denied again.

We wouldn't have planned a trip if the doctor initially thought my husband couldn't travel!
The company has been terrible to deal with and I would never recommend Arch for travel insurance.
The insurance company's decision has created financial hardship for us.

Having dealt with insurance before we were surprised at the short time it took to settle compensation. In past claims (other companies) it took months and many hoops to jump through. Good job, thanks, jon

My claim was answered promptly, and as soon as I sent in the required paperwork, the claim was accepted. Our check arrived within the number of days we were told it would take. Thank you!

I ended up in the hospital and my family could not enjoy our trip to Maui. Red sky went above and beyond expediting our trip insurance and following through with a complete refund. I would recommend red sky insurance to absolutely everyone. Thank you for taking care of us.

The company was very easy to work with. I was notified promptly after I filed my claim and was kept informed of the status of my claim.

We had insurance with them and our son died in a fire accident; they denied the claim because he had alcohol in his system. I think this is totally unacceptable as it should not matter what he had in his system. he died because of a faulty heater that shorted out but the fire was so bad they could not prove that.

I received a full refund on my rental. We were just 4 hours from our unit to start our week vacation, when we received a call that my dad pasted away unexpectedly. So glad I took the insurance!! After my claim was made, I received my refund in a timely manner. I would highly recommend taking the insurance.
