Terrible company, you pay for a product and expect full use of it but as soon they have a new product they make sure they make it as hard as possible for you to use it. No customer support, no solutions. If otu want all the joy taken out of creativity choose reason otherwise choose literally any other Daw.

Thieving company changing perpetual purchases licenses to not being able to installed anymore... avoid if you like your money and if you want to avoid entitled customer support that is not supporting anyone but the companies worst interest.

Problem: Perpetual internet logins required to now access Reason 11 without paying for an upgrade. No solution other than 'give us more cash for an upgrade' offered by Reason Studios.

Hanna was amazing. Well done.
However, i believe the management as a whole at Reason Studios is showing very poor judgement of the consumer mood. I'm through with Reason purchases until i see a gesture of good will with a free upgrade to incorporate long term offline use of Reason. May i just remind the management at Reason Studios that music is an escape and flows when we don't get bogged down with tech and endless internet logins. PLEASE SWITCH ON YOUR EARS AND LISTEN. Reason studios sollte mehr für seine Nutzer machen als für ihren eigenen Geldbeutel. Wenn mann eine Vollversion kauft sollten viel mehr adds verfügbar sein. Einfach armselig mittlerweile.

Upgrade Failure and False Advertising.
Have been with them for years and spent thousands and never a problem until Reason13 upgrade (Perpetual License) which was on offer and which failed 3 times saying it wasn't authorized? They then sent me instructions which were totally cumbersome and unnecessary as I've done this many times previous without issue. So I gave up and got a refund maybe they want to wait for the offer to end and then I pay full price? Plus, they have a 'Rewards Page' where you can spend accumulated points for previous purchases. However the page features products that are not included for 'Rewards' purchase so why are they on the list?? their response- I'm afraid they don't work on Rack Extensions made by third party developers, such as ProjectSAM. I had to pay £66. This is 'False Advertising' This item and others should not be showing on your 'bespoke' rewards page. They then told me to contact the 'Sales Department' regarding this which there is no contact address/link... Disappointing. REASON STUDIOS WHY DONT YOU ANSWER SOME OF THESE ISSUES?...

I paid for Reason Suite. After upgrading my computer the offline validator is no longer supported after they released Reason 12. I have to be online to use it, despite the fact I am a sailor who is often FAR from an internet connection. They are stealing from us. That was no included in the EULA I signed. I paid near 1000$ for the main software and add-ons.

After seeing how they treat their customers regarding the software they sell under a perpetual licence I feel discussed by this company. It is not hard to do the right thing. If you sell a licence for 10 years and I agree with that, then you can do whatever once the 10 years have passed but if you sell me a perpetual licence under a price established by you it has to be my choice if I keep using it or not.
I will never do any business with companies like this and thanks to platforms like this I can express my voice and warn others about the type of business that you are.

ive emailed support so so many times and no one ever gets back to me.
maybe once every two months i get an email with a useless suggestion and then no reply again.
ive asked for a refund of the entire suite and refills because not only can you not add or edit a rex slice in reason or dr octo rex (this is the company who MAKE recycle) but when i suggest it then they dont reply.

Great software for sound exploration. This review is NOT about the software, which is one of my all time favorite DAWs. The software itself in general deserves 5/5.

This review is about the support you can expect. I have spent probably at least 1000 euros over more than 10 years being a customer to Reason - which makes you think you could rely on them for support when something goes wrong.

Overall I must say that Reason is a very stable software and needs less support than many other tools. However, recently Reason rack VST plugin (which is the main reason why I bought the Reason 11 Suite) started crashing the host DAW every time you tried to load the plugin. This actually created a situation where a project that was created earlier could no longer be opened at all. There are workarounds to every situation and I could remove the plugin from the daw altogether, but this is not quality you expect from a software that I paid 600 euro for. I could narrow down the issue to a Reason license server and develop a further multi-step workaround that would allow me to use the plugin, but I would have to take these several steps every time I would want to use the plugin.

It's three weeks and no reply from support. I look online and there are a whole bunch of people saying the same thing - so the company must be aware of the issue. Thank god I don't work in a commercial studio and depend on this tool for client projects.

Bought Reason for use as a VST Rack plugin. There's some amazing synths in there, but I've waited over a week for any sort of reply to an issue with compatibility.

Be warned - racks made with the 30 day free trial will be incompatible if you buy the Intro version after the trial.

Managed to fix it myself by copying out the presets, but it was fiddly.

Just be aware that if you have a problem, you might be on your own. Not the case with other companies who develop music software...
