Rare Tea Company offers some of the finest rare and speciality loose leaf tea expertly sourced from around the world. We are committed to direct trade and sustainable sourcing.
Real relationships, both with the farms and our customers, are essential to Rare Tea. This is what we believe defines direct trade.
We focus on quality, sampling the finest and only selecting the best: our range is small but carefully chosen, seeking out tea-gardens and farmers crafting the most delicious leaves. We are extremely lucky and proud to work with unique farms producing extraordinary tea.
Some of our tea is very rare, with only a few kilos produced each year. Others can be grown on a larger scale. All of our tea is crafted by skilled men and women on independent farms, not industrially processed by large agribusinesses. We buy harvests from farmers, not a commodity from brokers.

Received a gift card and was easy to use and purchased some of my favourite teas, took advantage of free delivery which was a bonus. Teas as usual are so lovely, Green, Coffee leaf and Silver Tip.

Best tea worldwide. Tasty, unique, directly sourced. People at the office are the kindest and most inspirational stuff one could wish for. They know tea and lots of great stories to tell. This company is indeed a rare breed. Everything is presented in a way that indicates much thought and consideration has been put into it. The products are exceptional and the educational materials they send out are delightful and incredibly informative. Fantastic tea
In the summer of 2023, my wife and I took tea at The Balmoral in Edinburgh where we were introduced to Rare Tea Co. It’s been a love affair ever since. For this last order of your scrumptious Earl Grey, I received it surprisingly quick! I was curious why and I discovered the origin of the tea supply was coming from the Dallas-Ft Worth area. I appreciate the forward supply positioning as it made the shipping time much shorter! Thank you!
