J’ai eu la chance de faire la visite « Montparnasse Queer, des années 1920 à nos jours » et j’ai tout simplement adoré ! ✨

La visite dure 2h, la parcours est très bien pensé et permet de découvrir les points clés du quartier, les personnalités queer qui l’ont fréquenté, les lieux emblématiques… ; le tout ponctué par des anecdotes drôles et passionnantes. 😁
Merci à la SUPER guide Charlotte pour sa bonne humeur, son humour et son dynamisme qui nous font passer un excellent moment. Bravo également pour tout le travail de recherche effectué et la vulgarisation des informations, j’ai beaucoup appris et j’ai été captivé du début à la fin. C’est tellement important d’apporter un autre regard sur l’histoire et de lutter contre l’invisibilisation de nos communautés. 🌈

C’est la troisième visite que je fais avec Queer Tours et je suis toujours impressionnée par la qualité des visites, c’est toujours un plaisir. Je recommande à 200% et j’ai déjà hâte de revenir !

My husband and I had an awesome experience with Queer Tours France. We booked 5 tours with them (Paris Walking Tour, Notre Dame, The Louvre, Orsay Museum and Orangerie Museum). Each one was outstanding. The tour guides (Doina, Alex and Edwardo) were extremely knowledgeable. They had extensive backgrounds in the subject matter backed by impressive educational credentials. There wasn't a question they couldn't answer. We appreciated how they weaved in queer history into each tour, relating stories and situations that you wouldn't get on a typical tour. 
I had several email exchanges with Doina when planning the trip in which we related what we were most interested in seeing. She was able to craft together customized tours/lectures which provided a historical and queer context for what we were seeing.
In addition, they were great people to spend time with...fun to be with! They also provided some hints on what to do on our own, where to eat, local queer establishments, and how to get around.
We highly recommend Queer Tours France! I would definitely rebook tours with them on our next visit to Paris!

Nous avons adoré la visite lesbienne du Père Lachaise avec Charlotte ! Elle est super dynamique, elle a sur nous captiver en nous racontant les histoires des ces femmes dans leur contexte historique. Un groupe de queers, de la culture et du soleil c'était parfait !

It was undoubtedly the best part of our visit to Paris! We paid a visit with charlotte, but even in the exchange of emails with the other elements they were very helpful. We loved the tour, very relaxed, informative and it was noticeable that the guide had great knowledge. We know stories that we would never know otherwise.

Je suis tombée sur la page instagram de Queertoursfrance et étais curieuse de tester! Nous avons participé à la visite du Louvre menée par Alex avec ma copine et en quelques mots:
Alex est passionné, avenant, drôle, ouvert aux questions et aux débats! Son tour est extrêmement bien travaillé et réfléchi, l’histoire de l’art queer y est racontée avec beaucoup de dynamisme et de finesse.
J’ai réellement voyagé et pu voir le Louvre sous un autre angle grâce à son récit poignant. J’ai beaucoup ri, j’ai failli verser ma petite larme aussi mais j’ai surtout énormément appris et en suis ressortie percutée par toutes les choses qu’il me reste à découvrir.

Je les rejoindrais volontiers pour un autre tour et suis impatiente d’y retourner!

Les bons avis ne sont pas trompeurs, cette organisation est géniale, engagée, les guides sont certifiés, passionnés et disponibles.

Une très belle visite du jardin des Tuileries au Marais, menée d’une main de maître par Alex. Beaucoup de références historiques, abordées sous un angle queer, une visite très enrichissante que je recommande à tous !

Great tour, full of interesting stories, facts and little anecdotes about Paris‘ queer history! Our guide Alex was really into it, we could ask all the questions and got to see a lot of different places in the center of the city. It was a great pleasure to discover a whole different side of Paris and I would absolutely recommend - and will definitely attend any next time! Thanks to the whole crew for providing the tours to us.

I highly recommend this tour to anyone!! Doina was not only amazing with her knowledge, but made us feel as though we were visiting the city with a friend. And, we saw places that we would have never seen on our own.

Super intéressant !! J'ai adoré l'énergie de Doina et le parcours qu'on a fait. Je me suis amusée et découvert plein d'informations surprenantes sur l'histoire de cette ville sous un regard LGBT. My husband and I took the Père Lachaise: A Queer Cemetery tour and couldn’t be happier! Our tour guide, Doina, was fantastic. She was so knowledgeable and had wonderful stories to share throughout. We learned an awful lot of new stories and history (particularly about Sarah Bernhardt, Monique Wittig, and Mathilde de Morny just to start!). Doina also recommended a number of resources for us as well. We both do our own research as historians and learned so much new information from the experience. Doina really helped us understand queer French history and better understand queer history in general by answering loads of questions we had about how she conducts her research, French history, and the social context of queerness in Paris. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to take a tour with this group- it is fantastic!
The next time we are in Paris (which we hope will be in the next couple of years), we would love to go on the Unveiling the Queerness of the Louvre tour— with how impressed we were with the research and preparation Doina did for Père Lachaise, I know it’ll be an amazing experience!

I have been to Paris many times but this is the first time I find a tour that highlights our community so well! I learned a lot about French history and art, plus all the insight about Parisian LGBT+ community. Our guide Doina was a well of knowledge... and she was so fun!

Best tours for gay people and straight ones too! We took the tour of the Louvre even if we had seen the museum before, this was a completely different perspective on all the art works. We didn’t just see the artefacts but also had a view on the surprising love life of Gilgamesh, Alexander the Great, Leonardo and so much more. Loved the story of the first trans person in mythology. Absolutely recommend!

As a tourist, it was such a wonderful tour. definitely learned a lot but also it was very easy and relaxing. Doina is very knowledgeable about the city and LGBTQ+ history. enjoyed the tour very much!!! Doïna also recommended other places I could visit in Paris, which turned out to be one of the best memories I had in Paris. I would highly recommend this tour!!
As a queer person, i'm more than happy to find something like this tour that represents our community and shows people our history and point of views. Also if one is newly arrived in Paris, this would be a great way to find the community and will feel more accepted in a new place.

I booked 2 tours with that company and there were both excellent. Doina was super knowledgeable, easy going, friendly. Finally a guided tour that not only highlight but emphazise on the LGBTQIA+ community. I learned so many things it broadened the vision I had on history and art history.
I left the tours feeling even prouder to be part of the queer community.

What I also really enjoy is that I could easily tell everyone in the company was part of the LGBTQIA+ community and I knew this was not pinkwashing.

We learned about the past but we also learned about the present : Doina was also able to tell us about the queer community in Paris nowadays, their dailylives, shared infos about the queer events going on in Paris during our stay, the bars...

You will book a tour guide but will also end up with a friend who will share with you all the tips to fully appreciate your stay in Paris as a queer person.

On the three tours me and my girlfriend booked, we got the feeling that we saw the real Paris: the famous monuments, avenues, museums and also where LGBT+ people lived, hanged out, made love or were burned at stake. Our guide was very engaged and happy to show us so many tiny details and such a great storyteller ! A fantastic experience warmly recommended.

We took two tours with Doina with an organized group and this was really the best experience of all the places we went to. Both of the tours were not just « LGBT+ friendly » but really focused on these issues everywhere we went. She showed us the highlights and the masterpieces and never forgot the hidden LGBT+ story whenever there was one to tell. We really felt that Doina was very committed to the subject and this was not pinkwashing. Best tour company ever !
