I wouldn't know. Been on the phone waiting for an hour. Listening to a spiel about getting the company to offer free counseling if your stressed. I'm stressed just trying to get someone to answer the phone. Pathetic.

Only because we can't give a zero! A driver of a company insured by QBE took our hedge out in his van. He left the scene. His manager said he would sort it all and his insurance is QBE. The accident was the 8th Oct 2024. QBE have only ever sent 1 email to ask for photos and info. No one has ever got back to us and despite sending a letter,signed for on the 18th Nov they have still not got back to us and its now the 12th December. We had contact with one person and even he has gone quiet.Our hedge did not jump in front of the driver! So after replacing all the hedge, paying for new fencing,tidying up oil and van parts we are still out of pocket.
God help anyone who has to claim off this company. Not in the least bit interested in the 3rd party!

Disappointed with QBE's Lack of Empathy and Unjustified Premium Increase

I'm extremely disappointed with my recent experience with QBE. Despite a significant claim due to a severe storm and subsequent power outage, QBE has chosen to penalize me with a staggering $5265 premium increase. This feels incredibly unfair, especially considering the circumstances were beyond my control.

The customer service representative I spoke to was dismissive and unsympathetic. They seemed more concerned with the timing of my call than understanding my situation. It's disheartening to see such a lack of empathy from a company that claims to value its customers.

I urge QBE to reconsider this excessive premium increase and treat their loyal customers with more respect and understanding.

In the past, insurance companies were primarily concerned with the claims ratio in their motor vehicle insurance portfolios. To mitigate losses, they adopted sneaky practices, such as categorizing vehicles into different tiers and charging exorbitant premiums for certain categories. This led to many people avoiding car insurance altogether due to its high cost.

On the other hand, home insurance was historically affordable and widely accessible. However, someone in the insurance industry eventually realized they could offset the losses from motor vehicle insurance by overcharging for home insurance premiums. Since owning home insurance is often a necessity for homeowners to protect their property, it became an easy target.

This strategy unfairly shifted the burden to homeowners, effectively exploiting a captive market. The practice not only feels unethical but raises questions of fairness and legality. Overcharging homeowners to cover unrelated losses can be seen as a breach of trust and a potential criminal act.

J'ai une partie de la toiture qui c'est défaites par des vent tournoyant et de gros pluies et de faites mon plafond c'est effondré. Cela est arrivé le 25 octobre 2023. Un expert est venu, à déposer le dossier complet en janvier 2024 à l'assurance AGEMI . Je viens de recevoir le montant d'indemnités le 23/09/2024. Et je n'ai toujours pas été indemnisé. J'ai relancé AGEMI pour savoir où en était mon dossier. Réponse de l'assureur AGEMI, je site, nous sommes navrés du délai généré dans le règlement de vôtre dossier. La compagnie QBE a décidé de ne pas reconduire le mandat D'AGEMI pour 2025 ne peut plus faire d'avance de fonds pour les sinistres traité pour cette compagnie. Nous vous rassurons. Vôtre dossier à bien été transféré pour paiement par le nouveau délégataire de gestion : le groupe STELIANT. Ect.. tout c'est assurance devrait payer des indemnités de retard et je suis persuadé qu'il travaillerai bien plus vites. C'est malheureux c'est société qui sont irresponsable et incompétents. Si mon assurance maison n'aurait pas pris en charge les réparations je serai à la rue car ma maison serait inhabitable. Quand c'est nous qui sommes en retard de paiement ils se précipite très rapidement pour mettre le dossier au contentieux. La privatisation est une catastrophe pour les citoyens.

J'ai signalé un problème grave de nuisibles qui doit être légalement prit en charge par leur garantie décennale et qui attaque mes poutres en bois de manière structurelle il y a maintenant 3 mois.
Ils ont fait passer un expert il y a deux mois et cela fait maintenant 2 mois qu'ils ne répondent plus à aucun de mes messages alors que c'est de leur devoir et que je leur ai bien fait comprendre qu'il s'agissait d'une situation grave et dangereuse. Je ne recommande surtout pas, nous avons le temps de mourir d'un accident avant qu'ils ne fassent leur devoir.

They never communicated that my homeowners insurance is inactive and they didn't even know who my mortgage company is. They are just there to collect the money every year. No communication. After the policy is inactive, when I contacted they were saying that the underwriter is not willing to reinstate the policy. Are these insurance companies exist only to collect premiums every year? no communication and not even knowing where the premium is coming from. I dont recommend this company even to my enemy.

I don't understand how this archaic company is still in business. You can't do hardly anything online. You have to call and speak with someone and they never provide written confirmation of anything up front. I was told I had to wait for my cancelation to process before I'd receive an email confirmation and that it could take up to 10 days. It's crazy to me that you can't make changes online like with any other major insurance company.

Travaux de couverture effectué par artisan après orage intempéries une fuite est apparue le couvreur ne répond plus.je me suis tourné vers son assurance QBE Courbevoie envoyer 5 mails 3 appels personne ne réponds ASSURANCE BIDON utile pour les artisans car sûrement très bon marché mais aucune garantie pour le client.

Un artisan vous fourni une assurance décennale couverte par QBE (courtier April) un conseil trouvait un autre artisan! être assuré chez QBE c'est prendre un risque de ne pas être couvert, en tout la cas l'assurance de perdre vos temps à relancer pendant des mois voir des années sans obtenir aucune réponse de leur part.

They jack up the premiums by getting people to over insure there houses. Check out what the true knock down re-build prices are in your area before you believe there over inflated house valuations. They pretend there is some law they are following but they are just ripping you off, and increasing your premium. Wish the government could do something about these rip off merchants. Scumbags

Got a call saying I was involved in a accident and I said no, I was the witness and when I asked who they are acting on behalf of rudely hung up, made a complaint and only a answerphone still no reply ? How do they get my details and operate in such an unprofessional manner ? It felt like a scam, let’s see what happens and then the ombudsman if not… I don’t want my details with any tom, dick or harry thank you and accuse me of a crash ?

fausse assurance pour couvrir des artisans peut scrupuleux qui m'ont fais un devis de 42 000 € pour recevoir 47 000 € d'aide et au final m'avoir fait des travaux pour 3000 €. ils m'ont ôté des radiateurs moyens pour soit disant gagné 3 notes et au final ils m'ont posé le plus bas de gamme soit des radians a 47 € le radiateurs au lieu de 1000 €!!! l’assureur est au abonné absent!!!

Assurance injoignable qui ne répond pas aux mails. Quand on téléphone on nous dit de faire un mail et qu’il est impossible d’avoir un interlocuteur.
Malgré plusieurs relances, je reste sans réponse avec un sinistre important.
Ecoeuré du peu de considération.

I was reversed into when stationary by one of their insured drivers. A decent chap who was very apologetic and held his hands up to liability. That was 10 months ago! Repeated claims by me to QBE for the insurance excess which I'd had to pay - not one e-mail or Recorded Delivery letter every got answered. So I issued a claim in the County Court which they also ignored and for which I got Judgement. Now my insurers have told me they've instructed solicitors to claim the costs of repairs to my car. Similarly the company which provided me with a hire car are also using solicitors to reclaim their costs. That all may seem unbelievable but my insurers and the car hire company are saying that QBE are rejecting the claim on the grounds their client denies having the accident! I have photos of his vehicle backed into mine, I have a photo of his driving licence which I took as part of the exchange of details. I have his 'phone number. I have his email address and an exchange of e-mails after the accident. Yet QBE say the accident didn't happen!

UPDATE (now 9 months later):
Having won Judgement in my favour in Court QBE then applied to the Court to have the Judgement set aside. It has taken 9 months for the case to be heard again by a Judge who again ruled in my favour. In his summing before giving Judgement he was scathing about the manner in which QBE had dealt with the matter. It's now cost QBE even more since I was granted the additional costs incurred in defending myself.

QBE Australia is a disgusting example of an insurance company that shows no care for its customers, and will use any technicality in order to avoid honouring claim. We dished out premiums for years finding out that loyalty is of no value. Go elsewhere, as you will see poor reviews all over the net. The use of technicalities to deprive customers of their money, buried inside a convoluted terms and conditions, is nothing other than unconscionable and dishonest. May the company rot in Hell!

Je mets 1 étoile car on ne peut pas mettre moins. Si vous avez le choix entre plusieurs artisans, ne prenez jamais un artisan qui a une décennale chez QBE. Sté d'assurance fantôme. Ils ne répondent pas aux recommandés, la standardiste n'a pas la possibilité de me passer la personne qui s'occupe de mon dossier car elle est en Angleterre et qu'elle n'a pas son numéro... on croit cauchemarder... Fuyezzzzz !!!

Une honte...si je pouvais mettre 0 je le ferais...un interlocuteur incompréhensible sur sa messagerie de téléphone portable vu qu il est impossible de le joindre ! Vous assomme de sa décision de refus de prise en charge par mail sans explication...des escrocs

J'appellerai cette compagnie la compagnie du SILENCE, dès qu'il faut mettre la main à la poche, il n'y a plus de son plus d'image, je rejoins les autres commentaires, pas de réponses aux mails car les gestionnaires ne sont joignables que par mail (lol) ...
