It improves my writing efficiently!

Although I do wish some features weren't under the paid plan, because I want to know how to improve without having to drain my bank account.

It really has helped me to improve my story plots and writing style. My spelling, grammar, and sentence construction has never been better!

Everything I like — the explicit instructions in the book I'm writing, great writing aids

I love all the reports you can use to make the writing better and more succinct. It's a powerful tool and I'm thrilled I found it.

It's a great website, but $30 a month for premium is insane, so either lower your price or add more to the free version.

I like the way they make my writing error free

I love the grammar help the best! I have always struggled with the correct way to use commas. Prowritingaid is all over it!

I'm leaving one star out from 5 for whatever improvements you can make in future, but I've been using it for only a few days now (I have been using Grammarly for a few years) and already i can see the difference from the restrictive, censored wokeness that I experienced in Grammarly. I'm only sorry I did not discover you earlier.

I got ProWritingAid as a grant for my master's program, but have also been using it for a novel that I'm working on.

For novel writing, it's been amazing. I would highly recommend it. I've been especially enjoying NovNov this year. The live streams/ sprints have been fantastic, as have the interviews with authors and the community chats. The badges, word counter and the graphics are really beautiful and really well done. Ten out of ten, it has really impressed me.

I also really appreciate that ProWritingAid doesn't just fix errors for you, but tells you how to improve, forcing you to learn as you go. The chapter summaries have been a really cool feature I'm really excited about for my novel too.

However, I have found it to be still good, but less exceptional for academics — for one, when editing, it doesn't consider APA/ MLA/ Chicago formatting, which has been annoying, especially when summaries say that you have a bunch of grammar mistakes that aren't really fixable because of citation.

I've also found that while writing on the web it'll highlight things but not show you what's wrong and can be clunky, or simply disappear while I'm working on scrivener (which may be a user error more than ProWritingAid one, I'm not sure.)

In summary: really super amazing for writing fiction, OK for academics.

Realistically, I'd probably rate it at around a 4.5, but that's not an option, so I'll give a 5. Overall, I think it's a superb product and would recommend it.

Paid for a membership, cancelled the membership within the hour of purchase that same day. but did not request a refund that same day or ----their money grab 3 days of purchase--- Canceled does not mean cancelled to them. This illegal business practice.

ProWritingAid really helped me do a bunch of things while writing. It helped me with better phrasing and taught me how to be more concise. I can honestly say that ProWritingAid is one of the best AI writing assistants I have ever come across.

The only problems I have with it are the premium and how you have to pay to access it. But someone has to make money, right?

I used to be big fan of this software but my experience recently with a document and their customer service has made me question my use of this platform going forward.

I edited my file using their web platform but when I came to export it, the export timed out with an error. I contacted support and they told me it was a formatting error with my file and it could be that my file was too large. It wasn't. It was 55K. I'd exported a file double that length only a fortnight before without any issues. My file was created in Google Docs. It was text only with a few instances of bold and italics. So no fancy formatting, no charts or columns or anything that should have caused an issue.

I was told to copy and paste my file into another document and when I complained that they weren't planning to fix the issue, I had no reply. I ended up copying my file, chapter by chapter, into a fresh file but that meant I've had to re-read the whole thing again to make sure everything was there - basically creating another day of work for me.

On the basis of this, I no longer recommend their software. If they are unwilling to fix this bug, how many others exist in their software that they're not telling anyone about? How many grammatical suggestions are in fact wrong? They show no desire to fix the problems with their software and for that reason I will never recommend them again.

I am incredibly disappointed with ProWritingAid’s customer support regarding their high-ticket lifetime plans. I purchased a Premium lifetime license for £319. Just 5 days later, the superior "Premium Pro" version went on sale for £300—literally less than what I paid for the standard version.

I contacted support immediately. I acknowledge I was technically two days past their strict 3-day refund window, but I wasn't asking for my money back to leave. I just wanted them to match the deal or upgrade me to the version that was now cheaper than what I had just paid.

They flat-out refused.

Am I wrong to be this annoyed? I feel cheated for what I paid. If I had been using the software for weeks or months, I would understand. But I was only 5 days into a £300+ investment. To offer absolutely nothing—no upgrade, no partial credit, no goodwill gesture—is shocking for a "premium" service. They chose to stick to the fine print rather than treat a new, high-paying customer fairly.

An amazing app for any writer. Using the suggestions improves writing the more you use them.

Excellent critique with brilliant suggestions for improvement. Grammer and punctuation provided with ease. Sticky sentence information and word ideas help without taking over the writing.

I liked the way it monitored grammar and sentence structure, leaving the writer to only worry about creative design and not the technical side of writing.

Works great for me across multiple applications.

I like that ProWritingAid is right there to show me what is not working in my Grammer or spelling.
