“BEWARE” Provincial Smart Home company run by a bunch of scammers. Their energy advisor Mr. Ali misrepresented and bound us into a loan through “Finance IT” for 15% per annum instead of applying 0% loan under “Green home grants” for retrofit installation in our house. The company told they will get us 0% loan under the government program for 20 years. After retrofit installation the company stop responding to us and now we have received a notice from “Finance IT” the loan will be 14.99 % with effect from November 2nd, 2024. We are on the hook of $40k loan.

Everyone please refrain contracting with this company for any work.

Going to report them to BBB and consumer proposal so they refrain scamming.

Provincial Smart home’s business must be revoked as soon as possible so they can’t scam more Canadians.

I would have give 0 stars if there is an option. The biggest scam I have encountered in Canada. They lure people by offering government rebate which we will never get. The company is a total scam. Their representatives open mouth for telling lies only. Even their owner will give you many false promises and after that never pick up the call or reply the messages.

It is an absolutely scam company. No rebates, absurd equipment at such inflated pricing. They have fake auditors promising rebates and awful customer care representatives who are gonna tell you sweet lies make you feel they are working on your problem but no one is going to call you back. Because they are not affiliated or qualified to do these jobs. Call ENBRIDGE and enquire they are not affiliated in any way. They are just cheating people at a mass level. Its time there is some serious class action towards them and reach out to government to stop these people.

This company gives you the run around when it comes to giving your rebate as promised?
Every time you phone them they tell you’ll get the rebate the following month It’s been over two years since June 27; 2022. My sister in law was paid her rebate last Dec. 2023. Am fed up with this co. Am sure they received the money from the gov’t to pay us the rebate. How about the disgruntled customers collectively email CBC Marketplace to complain about them? This company needs to be investigated for it’s scamming practices.

Horrible service. They installed heat pump at my house, which was not installed correctly. It took them 3 months to fix. Then they messed up the HER+ rebate. Its been over a year and not got my refund. They promised 0% interest rate for 10 years now getting to know its almost 10%

As other people mentioned its a big scam. Its been 10 months never received any government rebate plus never payed old unit buyout. They were answering phones until last month(sep 2024) but not anymore. Calls not going through. Not hard to guess they scammed enough people and probably shut down this company and ready to open a new one under a new name as they probably done it before.

We have had problems with PSHS since the very beginning of the contract. There was constant lying - with payment (they promised 0% interest, but then it turned out that we would have to pay 12.99%), with the quality of their equipment (this was the main reason for concluding our contract - the company promised to rid us of dust in the bedrooms, but unfortunately the dust remained as it was. They promised to improve the quality of the water, but there was no improvement). They promised to send an inspector to check the installation in the attic, but more than a year has passed, and no one has come. They charged us twice $49.95-administration fee, what is illegal.
But, as it turned out, representatives of PSHS are engaged not only in bureaucratic formalities, but also in bullying elderly people 78 and 76 years old.
On May 21, a representative of this company named Hussein made an appointment for us with a technical inspector on May 22 from 12 to 2 pm. My wife and I waited for him for half a day, but no one came.
The next day, Hussein called and said that the inspector would come on May 23 from 10 to 12 am. After waiting half a day, no one came.
On May 24, Isaac called, introducing himself as a manager and saying that the inspector would come the next day, Saturday, May 25, from 2 to 4 pm. The next day no one came again.
Now for almost a few months one of the devices (UV Dynamics) installed by this company is making a very loud noise. This sound, which never stops for a second, can drive anyone crazy. We are afraid that an explosion may occur and, as I wrote 3 emails to PSHS, no one from this company called us or helped us. When calling, I cannot get any answers, nobody picks the phone.
I have reviewed some responses made by the business in reference to complaints, for example: “Since the installation of the equipment, the customer has continued to enjoy full-service protection, warranty, and 24/7 support”. This is a pure lie.

I shouldnhave never deleted my first review that's why writing this again because even if they say they will give you a bill credit and get you a government rebate, none of that ever happens. It's been 6 months since my installation and not only the installation qas wrong technically. I never recieved any bill credit or givernment rebate at all.

I should have read the reviews early and shouldn't have trusted the company.
Over that same equipment is available in market for 25% of the price they are charging. They wont tell you all details and will charge a lot from you. Better to go to home depot and buy yourself.

They tell you that you have a 10 day cooldown period but don't trust them. They keep lying about various things like terms, warranty, interest rates etc.

!!.. Beware of Provincial Smart Home Services- A Complete Scam ..!!

I regret ever signing up with Provincial Smart Home Services. This company is a complete scam, and they are deceiving people with false promises. Here's my experience:

The salesman got me to sign paperwork claiming a 0% interest rate and bi-weekly payments of $62. However, just a few months later, I received a letter saying they were hiking the interest rate to 13%, which increased my payments to $177 bi-weekly! This is outright deception!

To make matters worse, the salesman assured me that, like other reputable companies such as Reliance and Enercare, I could easily transfer my account to a new homeowner if I decided to sell my house. Guess what? That was a blatant lie. Now they’re telling me I have to pay the entire amount of $32,000 to close the account, with no option to transfer it.

And for what? They charged me $3500 for a Reverse Osmosis system that I could have easily bought for $200-$300 in the market! They also charged the same amount for a HEPA system, which is also available for a fraction of that price. Their pricing is beyond absurd!

On top of that, they’ve been making false promises about rebates. It’s been over a year, and I have yet to receive any rebate, despite their repeated assurances. Every time I ask about it, they just give me excuses and make false promises with no intention of following through.

This company is out there to scam people, with shady sales practices and deceptive pricing. Stay away from Provincial Smart Home Services if you value your money and your peace of mind! They should be held accountable for the misleading and fraudulent way they conduct business.

Horrible service, nobody answered my call I have been leaving emails and voicemails messages multiple times never get any response back from them. I have been trying calling from May 2024, they installed new hot water tank and AC.they destroyed my furnace they cut my furnace and air leaking and making lots of noise. I complained about my furnace from last year they said we’re going to fix it. When I called them they were very serious and said we’re going to fix within this week. They lies to me many times I have many proved. I’m going to post some pictures of my call records. I’m being threatened to go to court because they don’t take care of customers. I have lots of water leaking they are not doing anything.

Horrible service, nobody calls back. I’m being threatened to go to court because water tank n air conditioner have not been paid off yet.
Drywall not finished insulation not finished
Heat pump was not attached to base almost fell off. Home left a mess n pictures to prove.
Was told to put a carbon filter on my water softener. Everything has turned yellow rusty.
They have not made any promises stick.
Believe it’s time to launch a class action lawsuit against them.

I purchased a heat pump system and now it’s not working and I cannot get in touch with the company to get service on it. I have tried for two weeks to call an email and absolutely no reply.

It is a complete rip off. They have been out 5 times to fix the equipment installed. It still doesn’t work. Now their website does not work to book an appointment. Feel absolutely scammed. No rebates as promised. Company needs to be held accountable for this.

Provincial home services is a joke. They don’t return calls their website doesn’t work and they forged my signature on accounts now they want to charge me interest of almost 12 percent. Do not use these people ever

This company is the worst experience you may face in your life , never go with them ,they are unreliable, unresponsive, and fully of lies, they breath lie and give you a lot of promises and never fulfils their promises

It has been 9 months and none of their promises delivered. Water heater buyout did not happen. Rebate is a largest question. I have been paying to both existing water heater company and provincial smart home. It is really frustrating. No one picks the phone and neither responds to the emails. Mobile app does nt work. .

I'm truly embarrassed that I fell for this scam. Had units installed in my home with the assurance of rebates and buyout with Reliance for my furnace. Currently a year later still no buyout and and repeated calls have gone unanswered. Had the assessment done in December 2023 to which they wanted an upfront payment for that they waived since I already talked to an agent prior, was told that the rebate for over $9000 would be issued in 6 to 8 months. Still waiting. Now today trying to contact them on any update is impossible, the app isn't working, try to call and on hold for 30 minutes only too receive an error message, even the contact portal on their website is down. Don't be taken in like we have. Buyer beware.

Scammers. They sell you overpriced products and promise a rebate for the energy upgrades. Send you an auditor and make you pay for audit. The rebate is a lie. No e-file number provided and Enbridge who handles rebates in Ontario knows nothing of our audit. Can’t talk to the “rebate team” because they have no phone number. Can’t talk to the manager because they won’t give you their full name. A company who is hard to get a hold of and cannot provide a full name and contact information of the manager should not be allowed to operate in Canada.

Well ladies and gents, this is the biggest scam going!!! DO NOT ALLOW THEM INTO YOUR HOME. I have sent countless emails with no response. Called numerous times only to either not get through or be hung up on. The equipment is subpar at best and once they have your money, they ghost you. Don’t be like me. I have 4 kids under the age of 6 and I’ve been scammed out of $45,000.

If I could give this company a zero I would. Provincial smart homes is the worst company to deal with, they don't return calls or emails, customers service does NOT exist with this company. In straight up words: THEY SUCK
Do not contact this company for anything, any service or better yet when they come to your door Close it quickly.
