Firstly, we’re genuinely very sorry to hear about the loss of your Dad and send our sincere condolences to you and your family.
We’re sorry to read this review as our understanding was that you were happy with the service and the scooter when it was originally purchased. When your Mum contacted us afterwards, we tried to help by offering a buy-back price so there was a simple and hassle-free option available rather than leaving you with the stress of selling privately.
Unfortunately, as a small family-run mobility business, returned equipment cannot usually be bought back at the original purchase value due to collection costs, preparation, servicing, warranty obligations and resale risk. We also suggested that selling privately may achieve a higher return if obtaining the maximum value was the priority.
We completely understand that our offer may not have been what you hoped for, and we’re sorry for that. However, we do feel disappointed that a 1-star review has been left based solely on us not being able to offer the buy-back figure expected, as we don’t feel this reflects the service, care and support we provided throughout.
We were also saddened to receive subsequent abusive communication wishing serious illness upon members of our business. While we understand emotions can run high during difficult times, we don’t believe that reflects the respectful approach we have tried to take throughout this situation.
