I'm absolutely thrilled with my recent purchase of the SVS SB-3000 subwoofer. It arrived well-packaged and in perfect condition, and I was immediately impressed by its build quality and sleek design.

After reading many positive reviews, I decided to pair the SB-3000 with the MiniDSP UMIK-1 microphone and the powerful REW (Room EQ Wizard) software to fine-tune its integration with my main and surround speakers.
The initial analysis revealed two key issues:

1. Crossover Mismatch – I had mistakenly set my LCR (Left, Center, Right) speakers to “Large” in my Yamaha AV receiver, which caused them to handle low frequencies alongside the subwoofer. This resulted in an exaggerated bump around 80Hz.
Switching the LCR settings to “Small” resolved the problem immediately by redirecting the low-end to the SB-3000 alone.

2. Room Gain at 30Hz – I also identified a significant room-induced bass boost at 30Hz, which caused unwanted booming. Using the SB-3000’s mobile app and its built-in Parametric EQ, I was able to target the offending frequency precisely. After adjusting the amplitude and bandwidth, and re-running the analysis a few times, I successfully tamed the peak for a much more balanced response.

The result? My home theater now sounds phenomenal, with deep, clean, and tightly controlled bass. I’ve been revisiting my favorite movies and music, and can’t resist showing off what the SB-3000 can really do!

Had an issue with my FIIO Q15 (no fault of premium sound just faulty product) and Alex sorted next day delivery for the return of the item.

He then liaised with FIIO to arrange a repair which wasn’t available as FIIO has discontinued the product so Alex offered me a full refund or to choose another product from their site. I chose another product (which was cheaper) so Alex has ordered my new item and is issuing a partial refund.

Whilst 14 June was the delivery date, there was an extensive process that produced the purchase. Zani was excellent throughout, in that his communication was always helpful and he promptly responded to all my many enquiries. The part exchange offer was generous. Zani was patient too, as I wanted to completely update my 5.2 system. However i kept changing my requirements due to the challenges
involved in fitting it all into new premises. Which meant a lot of extra work for Zani as the detailed quotes had to keep being redone. Best aspect of the process was I found Zani really genuine and always keen to assist. I needed specific sizing information about the base of the Klipsch RF-7 floor standing speakers without the plinth, as my space was so limited. I couldn’t find it online. Zani sent me a pic of the base and it just what I needed, as it had no plinth and a set of isolation units.

Excellent CD player. After going back to vinyl a year ago with a new Pro-ject Turntable, I decided to take the next step and get a new CD player. This was my first foray into the more expensive audio equipment and I wasn’t disappointed. The sound quality is stunning and the unit is put together so well. I also love the big display. Great service from Premium Sound as well - delivered quickly and well packaged.

I really appreciate Fin's advice. I couldn't decide which music streamer to get and I went with Fin's opinion and bought an Eversolo dmp6 gen 2 masters edition. I'm so glad I did. The sound is fantastic. I keep disappearing to listen to more music. Great clarity, transparency and depth that I've not experienced before. And it arrived the next day! Thank you so much.

Premium Sound provides an attractive offer of Focal Bathys and I take it. The website is fool-proof, shipment is fast. The headphone is certainly impeccable. The only negative is that they use DPD for courier, personally I have some unpleassant experience with this courier.

I spotted a pricing error while trying to order the Moondrop Blessing 3, and Premium Sound sorted it straight away. They honoured a discounted price, sent a secure payment link, and kept me updated every step of the way—even when there was a slight shipping delay.
