I have 5+ courses, from Philipp and his team, and I can definitely recommend them to anyone, who want to learn Android, or Kotlin Multiplatform development!
Each course is well structured, packed with knowledge, and is enjoyable to watch, and listen.👍

The tutorials clearly demonstrate best practices and are very understandable. Everything is explained step by step, making it easy to follow along even for more complex topics. The structure is logical, the explanations are concise, and the examples are practical and relevant

I have just finished the 12-week mentorship program focusing on Native Android app development. I am very satisfied with the experience, I feel like I have been able to take away with me skills and knowledge of the native android framework, as well as a professional-level project that I can share with employers.

The 12-week program begins with the project requirements for a calendar application with figma designs and api documentation. Since the API is already built for you, you can focus on building the app. From there, it was open ended to me to decide what and how much to code each day, and I would proceed to submit a pull request to be reviewed 3-5 times a week to receive feedback to revise and work on the next feature I chose. I would say the bulk of the value you are getting is combined in the project preparation and the availability and quality of the reviews in the pull requests.

I have done other workshops and courses in the past, and this one is unique in that the mentors do not prescribe a schedule of tasks to do over the 12-week period, nor do they start with any instruction on how-to to build any particular component. I was on my own to figure out what to build, as well as looking up how to accomplish that specific subtask. While a little scary at first, by the middle of the mentorship, I got used to the cycle of picking up the next feature I wanted to build and learning the right way to build it. I would say this in itself is a valuable mindset to gain, that not only gives me confidence as an engineer to take on unknown technologies and features, but has given me a more personal relationship with coding as I am now more comfortable with the practice of exploring whatever topic or technology I choose.

I will say that it’s important to allocate enough time to this program. Just as with any engineering project it’s easy to underestimate how much time it takes to build something. I spent about 10-15 hours on the first 8 weeks, and knowing what I wanted to accomplish, increased my time spent to 30-50 hours a week for the last 4 weeks of the program. There is time that needs to be spent not just coding, but looking up different topics to fully understand them as well as understanding issues and refactoring as your project grows.

As a mentor and tutor, Philip is so great and articulate in communicating his ideas. The experience is like working with a very experienced software engineer by your side who's always available to provide guidance.

Excellent experience for those who can spend little extra time to learn and grow. Good community to get the support.

Hello, I really like your course and I find it fantastic, but the only problem I have is the lack of multiple subtitle languages, or even audio options like on your YouTube page. This is a real obstacle to my learning because I speak mostly French and I only have a little English, so it's a bit difficult for me to follow along. I often feel like I'm missing very important explanations, but apart from that, I love your course. Thanks again!

This course is important because it demonstrates great best practices and the content is clear and easy to understand. I’m a Spanish-speaking student, yet I’ve been able to follow the pace very well. The only thing I feel is missing would be practical exercises for each important lesson — I think that would boost the learning experience even more.

It would also be very helpful if the course subtitles were available in more languages besides English and German.

I have great experience in Android development, and I've learned a lot from Philipp's courses, he is diving deep into each part of the course.

Philipp is a great teacher and his courses and coding campus offer a huge amount of value. Even his free youtube videos are so incredibly helpful for any Android and KMP developer.

Overall the courses are well explained and I really enjoy the fact that some of the courses are tailored for more experience developers.
Philipp shows also its owns "errors" while developing and how he goes around fix them which is helpful.

Only point I would raise however is that as I am going through the Bundle of "Building Industry-Level" backend and compose apps, I noticed that tests are out of scope, which in my opinion should not be for a industry-level app.

Anyway still a great course and if you are an experience developer, you should be able to test it yourself.

I finished the 12-week Android Development mentorship by Philipp and his whole team from PL Coding. I can clearly say that my knowledge base and my skill level around modern Android development took a huge step forward during these weeks. They reviewed every line of code that I wrote and gave me great, detailed and constructive feedback on how to improve it. They challenged me not to make things easy, but rather smarter to have a flexible and scalable code base. Communication has been great. Every question that I may had was answered with a lot ot details and background infos.

If you want to improve your skills in Android development I can 100% recommend Philipp`s courses and mentorship.

I like the content, but you must admit you have a worldwide audience, and not all of us comprehend english on a 100%, especially in the listening or writing, as you can see for this message. It would add some value to your content if it would have subtitles (in english)

The course goes in detail, both in theory and practice. I love the way it focus on a product based approach. I wish I could give it more than this to be honest.

The Android Architecture Masterclass was a very useful and engaging experience. I learned a lot about structuring an Android project with a proper architecture. The main value for me was the focus on Clean Architecture and how to separate responsibilities between the layers — data, domain, and presentation. I also appreciated the use of modern tools like Jetpack Compose, Room, DataStore, which gave me a better understanding of how to build scalable and testable apps.

One point of feedback: I would personally prefer if the videos were shorter — ideally no longer than 15 minutes. When lessons are very long, it’s easy to lose concentration and feel tired. Shorter segments make it easier to stay motivated and clearly see the progress after finishing each one.

Overall, I found this masterclass inspiring and very practical. It gave me confidence in applying Clean Architecture and modern Android development patterns in my own projects.

These courses significantly strengthened my understanding of multi‑modular and clean architecture principles, working with Android APIs (even on Wear OS), and mastering the power of Kotlin Coroutines & Flows, which for me makes Kotlin the best language for Android development.

I’ve been following Android development since the old XML times and have watched countless videos from Philipp Lackner or Stevdza-San, which I still consider the best free resources for keeping up with the latest trends. But honestly, even though those videos are amazing, I always felt that something was missing – a deeper look at the core principles and fundamentals of large scale real world Android app architecture.

That gap was finally filled during these courses. The way the material is structured truly goes beyond surface‑level tutorials and dives into what industry‑level Android development really looks like.
