Very happy with service from Paulina today

Marek was very prompt in turning up for our appointment (at 07:30am) and was in charge of giving our carpeted floor a very thorough clean. Marek was excellent in dealing with giving the area a good hoover, rooting out as much ingrained dirt from the previous workers as possible. After that, he then proceeded to wash the carpet
completely, leaving it nicely damp and not soaking. Marek worked diligently only stopping to take one or two breaks in between and proudly invited us to take a good look at his handiwork. Highly recommend him to anyone!

Pestology is not cheap but the service is excellent. Our engineer, Mac, did a fantastic job, well explained and on time with no fuss or mess. We look forward to a rodent free future.

This company worked really hard to solve a rat problem. Greg and his colleagues took a lot of care over their work and were generous with their time. Greg was very knowledgeable and persistent and found the source of my rat problem. He explained it all very clearly. He enjoys his work and takes pride in it.

We had a great experience with Pestology. Unlike many others in the market, they clearly know what they’re doing. After buying our flat, we discovered a serious rat problem - rats were coming in from the sewers and nesting under the floor. A survey confirmed there was no manhole access on the property.

Gulliver was straightforward and knowledgeable. He explained that the only guaranteed solution was to dig out, install a new manhole, and fit a one-way gate to block the rats. It wasn’t cheap, but it worked. It’s been over a year now and no signs of rats since the works were done.

We tried three companies and this was the only company that appeared to know what they are actually doing when it comes to rat infestations. They are pricey but they solve the problem long term by doing both the internals and drain work. I am very grateful to them for giving us peace of mind.

We wouldn’t want to just get involved with the internal sealing but wish you well in your endeavours going forward to beat the rat

1. You have written so long report to justify your astronaumical charge but have not mentioned the one others have done and is the old waste water pipework is on the sideway of the bathroom that has not been sealed.

2. We have had survey from other companies. In addition we have never had problem except after the refurbishment. So definitely there is no pipe problem and I am not interested in that.

3. Although the price is much larger than the other company anyway I take the chance and like you to perform the below that you have asked for 790 +vat.

• As as a separate comment your quote in no way for pipe works is in way justifiable, I have doe a whole floor refurbishment and removal chimney with is comparable to the amount that you want for one tenth of the work others have done just last 4 weeks for me. Regardless I am not interested in that quote or work for drainage pipe works.

* The front porch pitched roof is to have the gap between leading tile edge and fascia board sealed with stainless steel mesh

Costs are £3779.00 + VAT

Please note that we won’t be able to reinstate the existing flooring into the new manhole lid once its in place - a specialist flooring contractor via separate appointment will therefore be required in order to undertake this aspect once we are finished

Please also note that any underfloor heating present may also be compromised as a result of these works

* Any fireplaces present are to be inspected at the back of the hearth or around gas pipe supply points for defects/holes - any identified are to be sealed

Costs are £790.00 + VAT


If activity persists beyond these works then we may also need to do further works to locate, inspect and isolate the separate surface water system

I hardly ever write reviews and when I do, it is because I have received a really bad service or excellent service. Pestology have been absolutely brilliant to eradicate my rodent problem, which we have had for a few years.

If you have a rat or mice problem and you call a pest control company and they advise that they will put bait down to kill the rodents and they will put foam and steel wool to fill any gaps in your house then you "SHOULD RUN A MILE" (e.g. JG Pest Control and Rentokil). Why?
1) Even if you kill 1 rodent with the bait, I GUARANTEE there will be a queue of rodents (probably in the sewers) waiting to come into your home.
2) The rodents will chew through any foam and steel wool and will come into your home, I GUARANTEE it doesn't work.
3) You will end up paying a subscription to the pest control company because you would need them to come back again and again to put more bait down.

Pestology on the other hand will properly internal proof and external proof your property, so that no rodents will enter your home. Once the rats know that they can't smell or get to any food, they will leave.

Pestology are more expensive than the pest control companies that use bait but the Pestology solution is a permanent solution. As I mentioned earlier, you will just end up paying a subscription service to the pest control companies that use bait and actually end up paying more over time than the Pestology solution.

It's simple, if you want to get rid of your rodent problem, call Pestology! If you love the rodents then call the other pest control companies so they can put bait down to encourage the rodents to come.

We have had bad issues with rats and going through our drains into our house and loft ect.
MAC from pestology came this morning arriving nice and early and on time and just got straight on with the works and was very professional and nice to chat too and going through every step and showing us what he was doing and the plan going forward.
He covered the 3 vents with the correct stuff that a previous company done was wrong and put 2 cameras in the loft and also the flaps in the drains to block them out.
We had a bad time and the previous company ARK pest control were awful but pestology have been amazing and doing the works through out and upto standard and blocking all entry’s and sealing the holes and gaps too.
Mac thank you so much absolute true professional at what you do and so good too. Definitely worth the rating and recommend you to anyone who also have the similar issues.

A badly finished extension left us with some hidden holes allowing mice access. Christian S from pestology was absolutely amazing in dealing with this. He was extremely thorough in his approach ensuring that all mouse entry points were identified and securely sealed off. He was very patient with all the questions and concerns I kept directing his way and he left me and my family reassured that the mouse problem was finally resolved. Prompt, friendly, efficient and very professional service. Really pleased with the way the Pestology team handled the initial enquiry and subsequent inspection and particularly how they then executed the remedial work. Having that combination of being pest controllers who understand drains and how houses are built has been a real benefit.

Gulliver and his Pestolgy team are the ONLY outfit in town that solve a rodent problem. We had rats under the floor and in the ceiling of our kitchen extension. The council came, Thames Water came, other pest companies came and all any of them wanted to do was address the symptom, not addressing the cause. Laying bait is pointless. Pestology identify the cause and stop the rats getting in, anything else is a waste of time, energy and money. They will just keep coming back as your house offers the shelter they want. Pestology have amazing equipment to conduct their survey and understand what they are looking for and how to fix it. The gentleman that came to do our survey didn't even need me to tell him where I was hearing the noises, his kit was able to identify the offending openings (uncapped drains beneath the floor). They quickly identified other access points left uncapped during the kitchen extension works carried out before we moved in. When the quote for the works came in, I was shocked, but they were so reassuring we thought "let's go for it...." because the quotes did come with a guarantee, not like some other cowboys we'd used. They performed what can best be described as keyhole surgery to address the uncapped drains under the building (other companies had advised we needed to rip the floor up!!!), addressed all exterior access points. The added a trap door to one of our operating manholes which would allow the rats access out of our building, but their entrance would be blocked by this and all the other measures taken. The real shock came when they started to address the interior and we found that the critters had been behind our cupboards and chewed through the waste pipe of the dishwasher, which we had no idea of... we just assumed our cat was being his inquisitive self when he hunkered beside it! We were advised that it would take about 10-12 weeks for the rats to fully leave, but after that time we were still on occasion hearing noises. I contacted Gulliver and there was absolutely no quibble, if "if you're hearing noises, we still have a problem". The "we" was so nice to hear! He sent someone a day or so later, who located another external access point, by accessing a neighbouring property.

It's been It's been almost half a year since they were with us and I'm pretty sure the rats are gone and we are relieved.

We had a huge team (I think I counted 6 vans outside on the day they came to conduct the initial works) and all were diligent, friendly and professional.
As I mentioned, the initial quote seemed a bit pricey. It gets split between external and internal treatment, and I suggest going for both to have the full solution. To be fair, this time we have a result, unlike the other snake-oil salesmen chucking bait down and achieving nothing. When I think about the Pestology cost that achieved results versus the other companies we paid and still had the problem, I wish we'd found Pestology first!! If looked at like that, it is good value good value for money, everything else is a waste of time, stress, energy and money.

We had rats under the floor, in the walls and coming into the kitchen. You need to learn fast and take action before they multiply. Pest control companies often treat the symptom by laying bait. Pestology find the cause and stop the rats getting in. If you don't do that they will just keep coming. Pestology have great equipment to survey drains and understand what they are looking for and how to fix it. They quickly discounted the foul drains and searched for and found a long buried manhole to a stormwater drain which had been left redundant by our extension works 20 years ago. The rats had chewed through foam used to cap it off and got under the floor. This was concreted over by Pestology. The rats are gone and we are massively relieved. A couple were left trapped so we poisoned those and silence is back 7 days later
Kamil was courteous and diligent. He had to excavate our paving and did an immaculate job reinstating it including a new manhole cover with awkward angles which he cut in invisibly. The quote seemed a bit pricey but there was 3 days work in it and it was good value for money. Very professional and we avoided wasting time and money with false solutions.
