I wouldn’t go as far as using the cliché “Janine saved our marriage,” as that feels a little over the top. What she did provide, however, was a calm and supportive space where we could talk openly and honestly, with guidance that helped us both feel heard, understood, and validated.

We chose Janine because, unlike many other counsellors, she specialises specifically in couples counselling. Her experience and training were evident from the start through the insight, knowledge, and techniques she brought to each session.

In total, we had eight sessions over the course of less than six months, and that has given us the tools we needed to communicate more effectively and truly understand one another. Before counselling, we were both so caught up in our own frustrations that we struggled to really listen. Now, we are able to hear each other and communicate in a much more meaningful way.

The sessions are not inexpensive, but they are absolutely worth the investment. Another thing we really appreciated was that there was never any pressure to book more sessions. Janine never chased us or pushed us into continuing. It was entirely our choice when, or if, we wanted to book again.

We worked with Claire for couples counselling, and the experience was extremely helpful. I contacted Trish for counselling with my husband as, after many years of marriage, we found there were several problems we were not able to resolve ourselves without speaking to an independent/non-family person. Oh wow what can I say about lighter days counselling. It saved us and myself! I learnt so much from each session and went home worked hard to get to where we both are! Each session made us feel at ease in end and made us see things in different light! I thank you so much you saved our relationship, and would tell anyone who is in a moment in their lives to go get support!! You have to invest to make it work started at 2-3 a month then 1-2 a month sometimes we added even extra one.

We worked with Michael Sewell as our relationship was going through a bad time, due to jealousy and overall alignment issues. The process of being listened to with a third party present felt incredibly validating, particularly as Janine was able to reflect back understanding of our perspectives and bring challenge or reassurance where needed.

We brought our sessions to a close once we felt we'd achieved what we wanted to and I think we will both be grateful for the help Janine offered us in getting us to that place - able to move forward in the knowledge that we both committed to the process and we were both able to speak to each other and really be heard.

I would recommend the process, and Janine, to any one who is wondering whether couples counselling might be of benefit. I think we were initially unsure if the sessions would work over zoom but it really didn't matter once we got going and meant that it was far easier to fit the sessions in.
