Avoid booking with OMG Hotels at all costs

Extremely poor service. We got bought an experience as a gift which was tickets to madam Tussauds & a meal for two - when finally trying to book we were told this experience no longer existed & that we would have to pick a different experience. Disappointed by this we then chose a theatre trip with meal for 2 which I then had to pay an extra £38 towards. We requested the Lion King & the meal was due to be at the sound cafe.. OMG stated they had booked the theatre tickets but we waited & waited & waited for our tickets to come through via email which they did not. We were still waiting the day before we were due to go, in fact we were still waiting on THE DAY we were supposedly booked! There was also still no sign of the meal voucher or booking confirmation for the sound cafe either. We chanced going to London hoping we could check in with the box office as we hadn’t been able to get through on the phone. Approx 10.30 we boarded the train & whilst on the train we finally received our theatre tickets although still no sign of meal voucher. My other half called & finally got through only to be told that our meal could not be confirmed due to errors on the part of the booking agents that OMG use - basically being told the third party agent had not booked it for them to pass on to us & also that they were not open at weekends so we were offered that we could return to the sound cafe on the Monday for our meal (we both work full time so would be going back to work Monday) or we could have a refund for the value of the meal £60. We opted for the refund - did we ever get it? NO… we wrote several emails to OMG with no replies whatsoever , we had no response from attempted phone calls … therefore not only had I spent an extra £38 upgrading the package we also lost £60 meal & NO REFUND! this is disgusting customer service & OMG have now fraudulently gained £60 of our money. My elderly mum bought this gift for us & it has been heartbreaking telling her the amount of trouble we had had trying to book what should’ve been a lovely day out!

I have since reported them to both money saving expert & BBCs Watchdog as I feel they should be investigated for their incompetence!

Extremely dodgy

Sadly I have to mirror the experience of other reviewers.
I also hadn’t received my voucher code 48 hours before my event day and although I found a phone number on line, when I dialled the number it is no longer in operation. I was eventually contacted by email the morning of our experience saying they had cancelled the theatre and hotel booking due to an IT glitch.
They offered to find me new dates and offered an extra excursion as an apology. I emailed back to accept the offer and have had no response since - this is almost a week of no contact from them. Deeply disappointed as this was a birthday trip and also out of pocket by several hundred £’s

I would never book with this company…

DO NOT USE, I WAS CONTACTED TO SAY THEY HAD ASKED A REP FROM THERO COMPANY TO CONTACT ME FOLLOWING ON FROM MY REVIEW AND I HAVE HEARD NOTHING EVEN AFTER SENDING 3 MORE EMAILS I would never book with this company again I hadn’t received my voucher code 48 hours before my event day and emailed them the day before as they do not have a tel number you can call they did not respond and once on the train heading to London from Manchester I received an email at 7am saying they had cancelled the theatre and hotel booking due to an IT glitch. I had to pay out for an extra hotel which I believe they should refund me for which they will not respond to my emails. I originally bought through a voucher company who have informed me they have disassociated themselves from this company because of all the problems.

Our Trip was cancelled 24 hours less…

Our Trip was cancelled 24 hours less than our expected arrival date, despite us already being in London for another event. This was only advised to us when we had arrived at the hotel. We were then advised by OMG hotels that we would receive a full refund and since this, have not received any sort of refund or communication from the company, after having paid out ourselves. Disgusting and unprofessional behaviour - I would AVOID at all costs. Companies like this don’t deserve any business.

This a follow-up to my previous review. Despite stating in their response they have processed a full refund, this is a lie. Neither my Dad or I have received refunds. They are complete con artists, and their responses to reviews are designed simply to make themselves look like a reasonable company. We are now submitting a small courts claim and reporting to Trading Standards, as well as shouting far and wide to media companies who like to reveal these scoundrels (think BBC Rogue Traders).

OMGhotels sounds right but for all the wrong reasons

Whilst they managed to sort the tickets out for the event (The Lion King) the hotel accommodation was dreadful. OMGhotels sounds right but for all the wrong reasons. Our accommodation was changed at last minute on the pre-tense it was an upgrade to which it was far from! I had to chase them vigorously to ensure my accommodation and theatre tickets arrived as it was a package deal through Wowcher. In future I’ll be choosing my own accommodation. The hotel was Easyhotel (South Kensington). No windows, no moving space within the room, the TV was mounted as high as possible on the wall so you had to maintain an horrible posture to see it, and ultimately we felt like a battery hen.

I have had to go through citizens advice to try and get my refund off them as they have stopped emailing me back despite saying I will be issued with a refund within 7-10 working days as they didn’t provide me with theatre and meal voucher tickets which I had to pay out of my own pocket

UPDATE 20th January
STILL HAD NO RESPONSE FROM THIS COMPANY DESPITE E MAILING THEM ON MANY OCCASIONS!!!!!
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!
We were given a voucher for a two night stay and a show which we booked though OMG. We upgraded the hotel and paid extra for a weekend supplement for the show. The day before we hadn’t received our tickets so contacted OMG who eventually replied saying ‘ I’ve investigated this for you and can see there appears to be an error was made and the incorrect date was booked for your trip, despite tomorrow’s date being written on your confirmation. We’ve asked for this to be amended however our supplier has advised they don’t have availability to do so’ We were offered a free meal and £50 compensation. This was on the 26th October. We replied on the 28th Oct asking how we redeem the meal and voucher. To date, and despite several e mails, we haven’t had a reply. I have asked for the money back (£139 in all) on three separate occasions and OMG haven’t had the professional courtesy or decency to even reply. The fact you can only e mail them and not actually speak to anyone says it all. I am taking this further, be warned I would not touch this company with a barge pole, they are unethical, have no customer service, will take your money and ignore you once they let you down.

Smooth process!!!

Penny in customer services was very helpful when I was asking questions about our booked trip, emails were responded to very fast and was very polite and professional. It’s been a pleasure dealing with OMG hotels in the process.

Booked a trip for my wife's birthday to…

Booked a trip for my wife's birthday to surprise her. Booked through wowcher then got vouchers for omg hotels. Then got a email with the hotel confirmed for 6th December 2024. On 2 September 2024. The week before emailed omg for my hotel voucher still waiting for reply to my email on 30th November and its 16th December 2024 now still no answer. It's a joke of company. No phone line to speak anybody avoid using them.update 20th December 2024 wowcher says they refund the full amount checked the bank 2day money in my account

21st Birthday trip to Lion King Trip cancelled

This experience was booked for my daughter's 21st Birthday back in September. Unknown to us the experience vouchers were passed on to OMG Hotels to complete the bookings. The provider has now stopped using this company due to their bad track record. It's not the first time this has happened.

My daughter was told by OMG Hotels that her vouchers would arrive at least 48 hrs before experience at the latest. No vouchers arrived. She spent all day Chasing them yesterday and in the end they stopped answering completely.

At 8.00 pm the night before this special trip the email eventually arrived stating it was cancelled! Disgusting!!!! And how this company is still trading is beyond me now having read the other reviews.

So my daughter now having taken the weekend AL off work looses her AL and her trip and we have to chase for a refund and rebook it all.

This does not even deserve 1 star but you cannot give 0 unfortunately.

AVOID this company it's a scam. I feel so upset that our daughters 21st Birthday present has turned into such a disappointment.

PS they also called the Hotel they were supposed to be booked into who said they had never had a booking from OMG Hotels says it all really!!!!!!!

Poor service avoid them.

The communication from this company is dreadful. Had a theatre experience booked for 14th December have had no communication from the company and no e tickets for either the theatre or the hotel despite being told they would arrive 48 hours before the event.
Have called the hotel, they have confirmed that there has been a booking for the hotel in my name, but this had been canceled the day before by the company. No idea if there are theatre tickets but have had no e tickets sent.
I have pre booked train tickets but dare not travel as there is no accommodation booked and unknown if there are any theatre tickets.
A dreadful customer service from this company leaving customers out of pocket. There are no useful phone numbers and the online chat is not replied to just a generic email saying they will look into it.
If you want any kind of experience other than a bad one avoid this company.

A dreadful experience with our preplanned weekend being cancelled on us the night before departure. A sham reason as they said no hotel availability and there clearly was availability.
