Old Mutual plc Arvostelua 

I went to the bank to open an account and to was convinced into opening a life insurance. After thinking about it for some time, I decided to have the insurance cancelled.
I went to the bank and they told me I would have to wait for the insurance to be activated before I can have it cancelled. I waited for it to be activated and when I went to the bank they told me I would have to contact Old Mutual to have it cancelled.
I contacted Old Mutual and they told me I would have to wait for two weeks for the funds to reflect in their account before I can have it cancelled. I waited and contacted them again only for them to tell me I would have to come in-person to have it cancelled.
I went there in-person to cancel it and they processed everything for me, only for me to check my account statement to notice that they have debited my account again.

Absolutely disingenuous and unscrupulous behavior all-round.

Beware - Old Mutual is totally incompetent and fraudulent. Do not invest anything with them or buy any policies or annuities. Their returns are terrible because they have no investment expertise. Also, the terrible returns they make they further drain by outrageously high fees on your account. For example, they charge just to receive your payment monthly. Your policy will be worth almost nothing - your premium just pays their salaries. Oh and don't forget - they are racist too.
