I purchased a coat on November 2023 for $72.73 through my Afterpay account. It was too large so I returned it few days after receiving it. It took several phone calls for my refund and in late January 2024 I received a refund of $52.09 from Afterpay. When I questioned Afterpay of the reason why I only received $52.09 they told me that was the amount refunded to them by New York and company. I sent multiple emails to New York and company asking for an explanation for the $52.09 refund and to date have not received one. I tried calling but to no avail. I will not advise any one to purchase from this company as their customer service is horrible, I wish I could give them a zero star.
Refund still not received
I order 3 outfits in November and returned 2 immediately. Refund is yet to be received and there customer service team never picked their calls. I am frustrated already and will never advise anyone to shop with them. Zero customer service. Please refund me my complete money. It’s been 2 month already.
Horrible Company
Poor quality and even worse customer service. Ordered a sweater and seams fell apart on first wear which was just an evening not even a whole day. Was just outside the return window so had to send an email request. No reply for over a month. Found a new email address and finally received a response. All responses were canned responses that had nothing to do with my request. Very frustrating and would not recommend this company. They don’t care about their product or customers!
Scam alert
Ordered $126.98 of stuff. Order placed on 11/15/2023. Order delivered on 11/27/2023. All items in order were too short and had to be returned, however there was no return label included in the package as had been on all past orders. It had actually physically been removed from the order form prior to shipping. It is an adhesive label that you peel off of the packing slip included inside the package, and everything else was there except for the return label...the spot was there for it, but it had been peeled off. On 11/28/2024 I looked on vendors website for return information...there was none. Big red flag right there. So I called customer service. After being hung up on 11 times, finally someone spoke and I requested a return label and was told it would be emailed to me. I received an email but all it said was "I see here that a return label was included in the package". So I replied "no, it wasn't". Then I was told that one would be emailed. It never was. I checked all the places...email, spam, etc. After about a week of them saying "just wait for it...it will be sent" and never receiving one, I sent the package back to the address on the packing slip. I've been emailing them every couple of weeks for 2 months now and they keep emailing back saying "we're sorry for the delay...our warehouse is backed up...give us time to communicate with the warehouse...please accept our heartfelt apology"... I can see many other complaints about issues with this company online so obviously there is a big problem with them.

They received my return on 12/19 but have not credited my card as of 1/19. Customer service says returns post automatically on receipt and should show to card in 3-5 days, but right now there’s a backlog. For one month? I waited a month but now I’m disputing with my card.
Unreliable refund

Ordered a dress in December of 2023
Ordered a dress in December of 2023. Sent it back and have yet to get my money back. Out $80 because of this. I email customer support they keep saying the dress was sent to the warehouse who will process the return. Give 7-10 business days. It’s been almost a month at this point. Just goes to show big name companies can be corrupt. The fact they are doing this to multiple consumers will see that the doors close on this business. No one will order again. My return was received by New York & Co on December 18, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. by Pitney Bowes. I was informed that it takes 14 business days to process a refund and another 3 - 5 days to credit back to my account. Well today is 1/12/24, and still nothing.

I ordered a pair of pants and I got the wrong size. I have called twice and nobody gets back to me. They provide an email that doesn't work. And on top of that, they charge for returning these pants, even though they shipped the wrong size. Please stay away from this company, it's a totally RACKET.
Been a month and still no refund
Been a month and still no refund! They confirmed a month ago that they have my returned items but I am still waiting for my $263 refund. I have emailed, called and chatted. They keep saying they are sorry for the inconvenience and wait 5-7 business days for an email that my refund has been started. Never get anything and still waiting on my money!! I used to love this company but I will never purchase anything again!!! One unhappy customer.

I purchased some items for Christmas. I needed to return 1 of them. it is bad enough that they charge you a $10 return fee, you only 30 days to return. No extra time for Christmas items. So I have a $40 item that I can not use or return. I will never buy from them again. there are too many other places to buy from. they are not worth it.

If I could give zero stars I would, this company isn’t even worth the 1 star given. I’ve filed complaints with the BBB and will continue fighting for a return. I returned an item in November 2023. It was received at their warehouse in early December. It is now January 2024 and still no refund. I’ve called, emailed, every method of contact and just get the same generic response every time. I don’t think this company has any intention of refunding me or a lot of other people based on reviews and social media. Total scam company, do not buy from them.

I have been a loyal customer of New York and Company for many years. I have spent thousands of dollars here. Now, for some reason the sizes have changed and many of the things I ordered didn't fit. So, I kept a few things and returned the rest. Since there are no stores to try the clothing on, you are forced to try them on at home and return them if they do not fit. So, I returned the items and guess what?......like many others, they are keeping the items and not giving me the refund. They are stealing from customers who have been loyal to them for so long. How do they expect to continue to operate when they treat their customers this way? The answer is.....they won't.
Scamming isn't an intelligent business plan. If they did the right thing and treated loyal customers the way they'd want to be treated, they would do well.
Worst company ever!
Worst company ever!! I purchased five yoga pants , they were horrible quality. I mailed back and never got my refund! I’ve written multiple emails and they have all been ignored! Do not buy from NY&Company!! Garbage quality and horrible customer service!
Never got my credit
I returned three pairs of jeans for almost $100. I know my return was received at Warrendale, PA location via tracking. I never received my credit nor will anyone reply to my emails. I gave been "ghosted". Be careful if you want to return.
Returns are expensive!
Received the item, it was too small. I returned it and was charged a 7.99 return label fee, which I expected, and a 9.95 handling fee. The item was originally 24.00, so my refund was for $8. Bye bye NY & Co!

Total scam! Returned $59.16 worth of merchandise in October; it's now late December and I have yet to receive a refund. Every time I contact the company, I get a message from "Henry" telling me that they received my order on November 3rd and it could take up to 15 days to receive a refund. (Spoiler, it's been three times that long and I have still received nothing.) I wish I could go back in time and never order anything from this scammy, shady, thieving company. (And by the way, I was returning the stuff because it was awful -- cheap and nasty-looking.) Stay far, far away!

Purchased 2 items. The return sticker was removed, in spite of one item eligible to be returned. They asked for a review of a dress. It was pictured as a sheath dress, and it was a bell shape. They didn't publish my negative review.

UPDATE: 12/19/2023 - I wanted to update my rating and review. I received my order today, which was within the 5-8 business day timeframe. I received the correct items, and they all fit beautifully. I’m very impressed with the clothing quality, and honestly, it’s everything I remember New York & Company to be before they closed their brick and mortars. I am docking them one star because getting in touch with customer service is extremely difficult. The phone just rings and whoever handles their social media account said that they don’t handle anything to do with orders. Aside from that, this was a very good experience, but I probably won’t order from them again. I feel like I got lucky this time and don’t want to push it!
Well. Looks like I’m in the same boat with everyone else. I ordered over $100 worth of clothes from New York & Company on 12/10, and haven’t gotten an update on the order since…which I thought was odd. It is now 12/14, and their website says 5-8 business day economy shipping. Their website also says I would receive an order update within 24 hours of placing the order, but that didn’t happen. This prompted me to do a Google search on the company. I was shocked at the reviews and customers’ experiences. This is a well-known company, and I had no idea they’d gone downhill in this manner. I’ve emailed them asking to cancel the order, but I’m not holding my breath, and I’m preparing for the worst. I’m usually so meticulous about vetting companies before I give them my money. Can’t believe they got me. Ugh!
