We are very happy with our movers. Yousses Mohmmet and his team were extremely professional in their handling of our possessions. They kept us informed of their arrival time and worked quickly and efficiently moving things even in the rain. Yousses was a joy to work with and the company Quick Shift made the whole experience easy for us.

Once you sign with them, they’re imPossible to contact. My move was scheduled for one day but didn’t happen until two days later. They didn’t contact me to notify that they changed the date and it was extremely difficult to reach them for an update. Also the company they scheduled for my move sent US prime movers and the lead mover actually told me before we left to go to the new house that if we’re happy with their service then we’ll give each mover, 3 of them, $150 tip each. What a racket! Both companies.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. My move from CT to North Carolina went from $4,000 to $10,000 after multiple discussions regarding every stick of furniture and inventory. I was a bit apprehensive early on as they seemed to downplay much of what I was asking (eg., do you charge for any light packing?) and just kept assuring me it's all included. DO NOT BUY IT.

When I look at other companies and talk to friends, they say this company is worse than a scam. I was renting after selling my house, and after telling them not to touch any of the furniture in a certain room, as it was not my own, they managed to pack my landlord's chair and shipped it with my own furniture. Then...of course....couldn't get it back.

Broken glasses and vases galore when they finally arrived. Could not tie them down to any real timeline of delivery either, which made it difficult when you are moving into a home with no furniture or beds.

What a nightmare. I am submitting claims and insurance for everything...but think about it. This was a whopping $10,000.

I can only vouch for Yusef and his team. I did not book with this actual company. Yusef and his team came in after my original team of movers at Paramount Van lines couldn't make good on my move. Yusef was efficient and organized, as well as courteous. I was able to get my things moved and stored with Royal Jordan, Moving LLC. Not Amerisafe Moving Services. I'm so grateful for there sense of responsibilities and would use them again if the opportunity presents itself. Royal Jordan, Moving LLC went above and beyond. Thank you

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! IF YOU DO YOU DESERVE EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS NEXT. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! They steal, they scam, they’re unprofessional. It was hidden fee after hidden fee. There are to many hands in the cookie jar. They out source their drivers who have no idea what’s going on. The driver called me to ask, “do I have his money before dropping my stuff off and can I meet him at Walmart instead of my home location to drop off my order.” They do not follow their timeless and get upset when questioned. My items were damaged and on the truck they were trying to tape a lot of peoples items. Everyone’s stuff was mixed in and BROKEN! All of my glassware, one of my tv’s, my air fryer and a lot more was damaged. The moving man kept commenting on my son’s x-box and it was never returned. This experience was a nightmare save your money and go else where.

So, this entire experience was a disaster. As I was calling around inquiring on quotes for an out-of-state move, Emmit from Amerisafe worked with me. I gave specifics about beds & sizes, mattresses, drawers, desks, etc. Come to find out, Amerisafe is NOT a mover, but just a broker. With that, Van Lines will be moving our materials. Though I pointed out items being moved - indicated on paperwork - washer/dryer, couches, beds, etc. The movers stated that the size of cubic feet Amerisafe quoted was incorrect, and therefore, I will be charged extra. Also, all my items are considered "bulky" and was therefore charged a bulky fee. Additional costs are piling up and I believe everyone should be educated and aware of the scams/treatment of moving companies. It's more frustrating because I actually have LESS pieces than I originally quoted, but the size are "bigger". Again, it's not my fault that Amerisafe quoted incorrectly on cubic feet.

I am sharing in hopes that others don’t get caught up in Amerisafe Moving Company Inc.’s bait and switch. Our experience with Amerisafe was a complete nightmare. When we first contacted them, they were incredibly helpful. Once they have your deposit, don’t expect to hear from them again. They failed multiple times to return calls and emails. They made promises they couldn’t keep, and the carrier did not care what Amerisafe had promised. Expect your costs to double, even when you try to give them the most accurate information. This company is what gives moving brokers and companies a bad name. There is nothing ‘safe’ about AmeriSAFE. Absolute worst experience ever!

John Niewoehner was amazing. I called in a bit of a panic because the POD people were not sure they could get up my driveway once they arrived. He jumped into action and was ready to take care of me for a move in less than 2 weeks. Outstanding customer service! Thank you!

Run! Run don’t walk. This is a terrible excuse for a business. This company is an unethical broker and did a bait and switch on my elderly parents for a move from Port Saint Lucie to Biloxi, particularly my trusting father who is a disabled Vietnam veteran. This is a BROKER, doesn’t allow Google reviews and demands check deposits which they refused to refund after trying to screw my parents out of more money. Their practices are so unethical it is appalling. My parents had to cancel and hire a new company. Buyer be warned!

Run away from this company. They do not honor what they say. I was foolish enough to pay a deposit of $7k upfront based on a quote of $14k only to have them come back the day before move and increase price to $25k. Based on this I cancelled the move and had to scramble to get a reputable company. After several attempts I was unable to get my deposit back because I had signed the contract, I guess We have to honor a contract but they do not. They can change the terms but you are still held to original. Unscrupulous business practices and they do not own any equipment. Stay away

From the time they got a signed contract this company lied and misrepresented themselves. I would never use this broker! After they got my money and called for a follow up to review my list, they said that there were no boxes on the list so they charged me an extra $474.00. We absolutely discussed boxes on the first call and (who doesn't have boxes when they move???). They also failed to mention that my furniture would be put on a truck in Indianapolis and then driven back to Chicago only to be unloaded and put on a bigger truck, then it would sit for 2 weeks and be driven to Florida only to be put on another truck and then show up in a small U-Haul. With all these moves, my 4 Italian leather chairs were pierced due to not being wrapped properly and then boxes on top of each other and being improperly moved from truck to truck. My brass table was crushed and all my lampshades were destroyed. I also was lied to about a date of pickup. After I was packed and ready to walk out the door on my pickup date, and a confirmation call was made, they changed the date and told me they had no truck available. This really put my travel plans to the test. Amerisafe offered no compensation and it wasn't until a couple days prior that I actually found out the actual moving company was Illinois Movers which proved to do a poor job due to all the damage of my property and who charged me an additional $500.00 for a "shuttle" fee which was never discussed on the initial sales call. Amerisafe is a horrible excuse for their slogan "let us take all the stress out of your move"! What B.S.!!! After trying to follow up and no success there was never any compensation and I have never experienced such ineptness in a national company.

I am completely unhappy with my experience using AmeriSafe Moving Services and would not recommend them to anyone. What started as a seemingly reasonable quote turned into a nightmare — after picking up my belongings, the price doubled.

Despite giving a clear and detailed list of my items, the AmeriSafe representative assured me that 700 cubic feet would be enough. When the movers arrived, they claimed I actually needed 1,100 cubic feet. I was also told not to worry about miscellaneous items, but the movers insisted that everything needed to be boxed — and then charged me $400 for boxes. Those boxes also took up significant space, adding more cost.

The communication between AmeriSafe and the moving company was terrible. It was clear they weren’t on the same page. I called AmeriSafe multiple times to express my concerns and was hung up on twice. When I finally spoke to someone, they were dismissive and told me there was nothing they could do.

This company feels like a scam — they were only interested in getting my money, not in providing honest or professional service. I will never use AmeriSafe or any moving broker again. Do yourself a favor: look elsewhere for a reputable, transparent moving company that stands by their quotes and treats customers with respect.

The work done by Amerisafe Moving service was mediocre. Although they arrived on schedule and were usually courteous, some of the boxes were handled incorrectly. One item had some minor damage when it came. Although the transfer was finished, it didn't seem very efficient or seamless. Overall, good bargain, although I was hoping for a little more attention to detail.

I canceled my 3 hour move on the day of because of the false information my broker, Mike at Amerisafe provided. I was quoted it would be $2026 to which THE MOVERS on the day of quoted me over $4000. They also wouldn't accept credit cards and I had to put down a $800 deposit fee which was just a fee that went to my broker and the company won't refund me even though they lied to me and I had to cancel my move last minute!

Do Not Hire this Mover!!

My daughter hired Amerisafe to move her from college to her first job. Their contact said her things would be there in 2- 10 days. It has now been 46 days and there is no sign of her things. We contacted the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and were told that so far in 2025, this company has had 26 complaints filed against them. Ours is the 27th. We are also getting law enforcement involved to track down her stuff. Know that Amerisafe is just a broker, they don't actually move the property. They contact a regional carrier and then they don't give a darn what happens next. Also, when they give you an estimated delivery date, they have no idea whether they are right or wrong - that is up to the regional carrier.

I am not a fan of them, They seemed a bit irresponsible for their job.

I talked with David, the sales person was a bit rude and cocky, at least they should talk politely to everyone.

I used them a few months ago and I was impressed with them so I again hire them. This they disappointed me. It was about to go horrible. But somehow it went through. Disappointed!!!
