Worst company there is! Total scam ! Stay away ! To move was quoted 3k that a day before the mive jump to 5k then on the day of the mive jumo to 7k.
All was communicated in my parts with phots and video calls from DAY 1 !!!! They lock tiu in binding agreement and from that point the jack the prices up!!

This so called mover was rated high with Consumer Affairs. I called X Van lines and asked if they were brokers, which they immediately replied no. Their company did the entire move, from beginning to end.
After providing us a $2,400 quote, I sent pictures of what was to be moved. It was raised $500 just to be safe but at the day of moving, they finally showed up at 7:00 PM. We were closing on our home the next day. We were trapped, vulnerable, and they knew it. We had not added one item to the picture of belongings I sent, since talking with them when our rate was increase by $500 (just to be safe). The day before our closing, at 7:00 PM, they arrived and increase our move to $6,450. We paid because we had no alternative.
THEY DO NOT CHARGE BASED ON WEIGHT, AS EVERY OTHER LONG DISTANCE MOVER OUT THERE DOES!!!
We were told our belongings would go to their hub in Chicago, then loaded with others customers coming to our new location. We were told it could be 2 weeks before we got our belongings but in all reality 5 -7 days was more realistic.
One week, two weeks... We finally hear from them but they brokered our move with a third party mover.
When the truck showed and was opened, my wife saw the condition of our contents and I became very concerned. There were items labeled fragile, holding up the entire wall of our belongings. Boxes were crushed and our curio cabinet was actually laying on its back, on the top of the entire wall (10 feet+/-).
There were several items damaged and missing but I will take care of fixing or replacing myself. Please hear this: if you are considering using this unprofessional, deceiving, lying, poor excuse of a mover, please consider what I have written in this review. X Van Lines LLC is terrible. They will steal from you and destroy your belongings. Even the broker mover which X Van Lines hired had nothing good to say about them.

If you want your belongings to be lost, damaged, or left behind, then X Van Lines is for you. If you want to be over charged, belittled, ignored, or intimidated, then X Van Lines is for you. Don’t fall for their advertisements showing kind, smiling employees helping equally happy and calm customers. It’s a total lie. They pull you in with constant phone calls and promises of an easy move, but it’s all a lie. They don’t do final inventory counts in person pr even over zoom. They send you disgusting, creepy, intimidating people who will treat you like you are less than the dirt on their shoes. Chances are, they don’t actually send you X Van Lines employees at all! They will be contractors with no care or concern in the world for anything except payment. They will throw, drag, step on, spill on, and knock over your belongings. You’d be better off with a herd of elephants, a band of jackals, or a pack of wolves packing and delivering your belongings than X Van Lines. Oh, but wait there’s more. You can pay to have them pack your belongings and they will then refuse to do so. You may be asking yourself how I know all of this. Well, I was unfortunate and stupid enough to hire X Van Lines to move my belongings. I’m still paying the price many months later. Please, I beg of you, if you are moving, use anyone else.

BEWARE!! Dangerous Moving Company
BEWARE!!! Horrible company. Sweet lady answers your initial question's and provides you with an estimate. Then a bill of lading based on your rough estimate before you actually start pulling items out and realizing you have more boxes etc. Then 8 days out you get a call from a mafia guy who is rude and very high pressure. So he pressures you to over estimate your needs because otherwise they will “just leave your belongings for another truck”and he then overestimates your needs. Suddenly, your $3000 quote grows to $10,500. And then you are told the balance will hit at the end. I read they are guilty of ballooning the closing. I’ve read they hold your belongings ransom and you are at their mercy.

My move and canceled because it was clear not only was I dealing with the mafia I was going to end up with a $20,000 bill. Because they made me make a deposit and sign a bill of lading, I lost my deposit of $1800.00. That’s a lot for this Great Grandma to lose. Much like many other 1 star reviews on here I was another victim of X Vanlines. They over charged me from beginning to end. They are dishonest and its obvious they play the same con on all of their customers. Customer service was great when signing you up....but the first call to complain and they get pretty nasty with you. Every review on here has the same copy and paste reply from the company but still they do nothing. The amount of victims out there posting reviews of their bad experience is astounding. Someone needs to shut this company down
Bait & Switch
My initial call with the salesperson was very pleasant, although I would come to discover it was not as thorough as it perhaps should have been. We made several calls back and forth going over the inventory and I also sent videos ultimately settling on a price in the neighborhood of $3000. Then came the quality assurance call 5 days before the move and I found it surprising that my box count may not have been enough. Fredrick asked me to get them a complete box count I told him I was worried about half of my things being left behind This created an uncomfortable back and forth wherein I was told that was not what he said and that nobody said half of my things would be left behind. We then got on the phone with a manager named Justin who said we should get him a final box count and he would update our pricing appropriately. Once our box count was sent he reached out to inform us that we would need another $1000 added to our contract. Now we were spending more money than we were comfortable with but at least felt confident that we had allocated an appropriate amount of space on the truck. Then came moving day. The crew showed up and took videos and a walk around our home They then said we should expect a call from the office. That call came and they said they would need another $3000 in addition to the agreed upon amount bringing us up to over $7000. This was well above our budget and we were left with no choice but to refuse the change in price. I now have to rent a truck and move everything myself. Date would not refund my Deposit they simply said "I'm sorry you can't afford it but you've signed a binding contract." I work in contracts too and I find their business practices extremely unethical. They are perfectly comfortable quoting you a low number and then hitting you over the head with a huge price increase on moving day. My wife, myself, and our two year old daughter figured it out and lost $900 deposit. I'd steer anyone away from this company. This was an extremely frustrating ordeal.

Charged my parents most 12,000 to do a full pack and move from Florida to Tennessee. My mom told them all the stuff they had and he said they were sending a 26fr truck. My mom said they will not be enough i have moved several times. The guy argued with her saying he was the professional and she was not. She tried several times before the day to talk to them and the sales guy to confirm everything and the sales guy supposedly don’t work there any more. Then day of move they don’t arrive until after 12 with 2 men to full pack and move a 4 bedroom house. 26ft truck and they pack horribly broke the washer by shearing off the hose. Broke off the thermostat off the wall and several other items. They did not get everything on the truck or packed at the house. They demand cash or Zelle of 3800 upon arrival in TN they refused to drive up the driveway unless cash in hand. I had to get the cash for them because they don’t bank here yet nor do they do Zelle. Brought 2 more guys to unload and paid them $60 each to do it they hired them off the street in Huntsville al. Now that they have their money customer service is not talking to them anymore. It’s time for a lawyer. I have now read so many complaints here, google, Reddit of the same song and dance. Every single detail! My parents had to rent another 26 ft truck head back down to Florida and pack the rest, load it and drive it back here paying more money now. Contract they give you is a joke!

TL; DR If I could give 0 stars I would. Worst possible experience from start to finish. They made an already stressful event of moving worse than could have imagined and final bill came out double what I was originally quoted.
The sales representative - Jason Evan reached out. At first he was very helpful, ran through services provided, expectations on pickup etc. We ran through the detailed inventory list - which I provided in comprehensive detail. I was pleasantly surprised as his quote was 40% less than other companies (Mayflower, Roadway, Allied, Mayzlin, to name a few). I did some DD on X Van lines and everything checked out from reviews, to being a carrier, DOT and BBB rating. So I initiated the service. I did mention the # of boxes may change but not by many, to which he assured as long as " I am not including a piano, pool table or baby elephant, not to worry about it".
Fast forward three weeks and I messaged Jason to try and get assurances and finalize the # of boxes. No response to my texts or calls. He completely shut off all communication as soon as I completed the deposit and it was within the 7 day cancellation period.
A QA person, Mitch called me to review do the final inventory, I reiterated the same exact inventory list except - I come to find out Jason had not entered the details as exactly I provided in the inventory list. For example - the king bed and frame which I mentioned were not properly documented. The 3 piece sectional that I mentioned to Jason was categorized as sofa instead of "large sofa". This added an extra $1000 to my move.
Two days later, I receive a call from Dispatch and was informed my pickup window was coming a day early between 2-6pm. On the day of pickup, the movers showed up at 8 pm. Upon a quick inspection of my belongings it was determined again, the cubic feet quoted via Mitch was now underquoted. To take all my belongings it added an extra $1500 on top of the QA. The total of my move had now doubled from what I was quoted by Jason. I had come to realize this was a deceptive tactic used by Jason to underquote my items to get me in the door.
On top of this, the pickup team could not complete my move that night and was told they would come finish the job the next morning at 11am. The next morning, the movers showed up at 12:30pm. They worked quick and efficient but again the lack of communication and unorganized nature of operations is very evident.
I repeated throughout the entire process starting with Jason, the belongings just needed to be in my new location by August 3. I was assured a short 255 mile move would not be an issue.
Come August 3rd, I reach out to Customer Service - on this day and over the course of the next 5 days, they could not locate any driver to deliver my belongings and they did not know which warehouse it was being stored in.
I get a call on August 8, from a representative of a different moving company that they were delivering my belongings the next day. I thought this was very strange consider X Van Lines is supposedly a carrier, not a broker.
The workers of the moving company delivered my items and thankfully everything was accounted for and in one piece. I received a call from Dispatch that same afternoon (after my belongings already arrived), that my items were picked up and scheduled to be delivered the following Saturday - drivers name was different from the one who delivered my items. Goes to show again the theme of unaccountability, lack of organization, and communication that is rampant within the company.
Don't use this company - you'll save yourself headaches, money, and time dealing with inept and scummy people

I was deliberately low-balled an estimated square feet for my move. I was told that even though everyone's items are shaped differently they would add extra room, for an up-charge of 2 thousand dollars, to make sure everything fit. One third of my belongings did not fit. I had no choice but to leave 1/3 of my house on the curb. My things were stored almost three weeks at an undisclosed location where they were ruined, gone through, and left.
Sunday, July 27th I received a text from the driver saying he would be here the next day and would text me an ETA in the morning. I took the day off of work.
I checked in at 9am, no response. 11am, no response. Finally around noon I called customer service, and then he let me know it would be MIDNIGHT. He changed it to early the next morning, but I had moved all meetings to Tuesday morning due to HIM SAYING he would be here Monday. I said noon is the earliest. At 11am I texted and he said he was 3 hours away. At 2pm, when he said he would be arriving, he sent a GPS pic saying he was ANOTHER 3 HOURS AWAY.
At this point I called customer service to start the complaint process.
The GPS picture he sent said his arrival is 445pm. He did not show up until 6:40pm.
On arrival boxes and plastic bins were demolished and unusable. Furniture that was packed up is missing screws and parts. Shattered glass, dishes, BBQ table bent and will not roll, water stains on couch and the fabric is loose and ruined one bin of items never made it. INSIDE of my bins I found things from other people, they were not my belongings. It's obvious my bins and boxes were looked through because everything was shifted, especially when other people's things are inside.
This was the plan all along, they tell customers the smallest size with the best price. Then, when they get there, nothing fits. Here is a list of items they said would fit but wouldn't:

1 desk
2 patio chairs
2 barbells
1 squat rack
1 sandbag
6 kettlebells
8 dumbbells
200 lbs of bumper plates.
Even the man that was hired locally to help said they have the worst reputation as a company and are known to rip people off and ruin all of their stuff.
They completely took advantage of me, like I am sure they've done with hundreds of other people. Nobody is this awful at their job. I took 12 hours of work off because of the inability to do their job. I was offered $200 as hush money to not make a review. I did not take it.

f I could give zero stars, I would. This company is a masterclass in deception and outright dishonesty. From the moment they quoted my cross-country move, they painted a picture of professionalism and reliability. The reality? A nightmare I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy.
The Bait-and-Switch: They quoted me one price, only to nearly double the cost on moving day. Their excuse? “Your items take up more space than expected.” Funny how they “realized” this after my belongings were already on their truck and I had no leverage.
Broken Promises: They guaranteed delivery in 7–10 days. My furniture arrived over a month late, after countless unreturned calls and vague excuses. When they finally showed up, half my items looked like they’d been through a demolition derby—scratches, dents, broken legs, crushed boxes, and missing pieces entirely.
Zero Accountability: Filing a claim was a joke. They pushed me through a maze of paperwork and “processing” until it became obvious they were just running out the clock so they wouldn’t have to pay. Customer service was rude, dismissive, and sometimes outright hostile.
Bottom Line: This is not a professional moving service—it’s a shakedown operation. They hold your belongings hostage, squeeze you for more money, and then treat you like you’re the problem.
If you value your money, your belongings, and your sanity, stay far away from this company. I regret not researching more deeply before hiring them, but if you’re reading this, take my mistake as a warning: Run. Don’t walk. Run.
When I receive my promised check for $1745 that supposedly is being “bundled” then my review will be modified and I will post no further negative reviews. Until then they will continue.

This company is dishonest and unprofessional. I had a whole dissertation typed up about how much they suck and it's too many characters. Just don't use them. They play fast and loose, you can't talk to the same person twice, the final quote isn't the final quote, if you have frustrations on the process, a hundred bucks is all they will offer. It's a total SCAM/RIPOFF and their drivers will try to hustle you for more money in the end. Not Reputable at all. I'd be happy to tell you more!

A one star is generous. Our cross country move was a nightmare. The initial quote and communication was reasonable. Once the deposit was made everything changed. After carefully communicating items to be moved (including actual dimensions) the cf was fudged to the high side just to “be sure”, while reassuring that we would only be billed for actual cf used. Then came the call a couple days before the move which advised we should add an additional buffer of 100cf because things might fit together in a weird way and we wouldn’t want our things to be left behind because we didn’t allow for an additional amount of space. Snd of course, we would only be billed for what was actually used. We were told the move typically takes at the most 10 days, worst case 14, but the DOT allows 30 days legally. Don’t worry, that just doesn’t happen. As soon as our items were loaded we were told we needed another 100cf to be paid. We explained we had already added the buffer 100 cf, but the driver insisted we owed even more. Customer service at this point was non existent. When we called for an update we were given no information other than they have up to 30 days legally to get it to us. Carlos, the proclaimed customer service manager was beyond rude. After waiting a week to call again for an update we called using the cell phone on file three times, at one hour intervals, only to listen to the phone ring and ring. After the third time we used a different phone and coincidentally our call was answered on the second ring. We were promised a return call with an update from Carlos. Never happened. 32 days after our first available delivery date our belongings were finally delivered. The driver immediately told us it was going to cost an additional $300. We asked why. He said that was what “they” told him to tell us. After we explained that the only possible additional could be that 4 items needed to be carried up a flight of steps. We paid the additional $65 for that. Not the arbitrary $300. Boxes were crushed, 3 pieces of furniture were damaged. One because the crew loading the move kept trying to take the legs off of a bookcase that damaged two legs. They did not remove the legs, just damaged them and wrapped them up. A handful of items were also broken.
Stay away from this company. They are unscrupulous, and it is clear their business model is to be as deceptive as possible after loading belongings. Hindsight is wonderful, I should have cut our losses and forfeited our 50% deposit and found a reputable company. Lesson painfully learned.

If I could give X Van Lines 0 stars I would. The service was abysmal. The first person I spoke to in sales was a charming smooth talker who ENSURED me I would be taken care of on the highest level. He also said the company was pricier than some because everything is done in-house. Don't be fooled—they operate as if they contract out.
Since that first conversation, things started to go downhill. My move got rescheduled 4 times and each time someone told me something different. They NEVER called to tell me the window change so I had to call SEVERAL times to see why the movers didn’t arrive in the window they told me (a total of 11 hours wasted waiting around).
I’m not one to leave reviews and I always give people the benefit of the doubt, but after spending thousands of dollars for poor communication and a total disregard for me and my life, I was given a discount of $150, which felt like a slap in the face. Anyone can move you, but customer service is why we hire professionals. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Save yourself the money and the unnecessary stress.

Xvanlines is a shameless company that will keep your deposit for services not rendered, even if you are unable move, served for 24 years & 100% disabled naval veteran!
After trying to work with this company through many phone calls and emails, only to receive the runaround for three weeks. Then, finally, my wife was sent a rude and abrasive email stating that she should read the contract you signed (You only have 3 days to try to cancel once you sign and it’s only good for a year btw)!
Sad to have served almost a quarter of my life for a country that has businesses who would choose to take advantage of people. When they could set a new and better standard vs the “Industry standard” that they are content with doing. The bare minimum for their “valued customers”.
I would think that a company would want to work with customers that chose them in the first place and keep them for the long haul instead of screwing them over with abrasive and underhanded tactics.
My advice to anyone looking to move is to inquire about the companies cancelation terms.
I hope everyone has the opportunity to read this before they also become a victim of Xvanlines.

I would give 0 if I could. Their cancellation policy is only good three days after you sign the contract. Which is vague. They’re helpful in the beginning, but the moment you need answers they’re inconsistent and rude. I understand not all things are refundable, but to keep a deposit when you did zero work is greedy and just overall terrible. Life made it so we could not move now, but instead of trying to keep a customer they just want money. I was told well I knew, obviously I didn’t. But I’ll leave you with this, if their cancellation policy is so well known, why didn’t the multiple employees I spoke to know? Why didn’t our point of contact not know? Why did I have to work with their system for three weeks to be told information that they say everyone knows? DO NOT MOVE WITH THEM
