I absolutely loved waking up each morning and taking part in a meditation and journalling practice with Nuala, and other like minded people, who were part of the group. Nuala has such a relaxing and uplifting tone to her voice and I found each daily meditation offered a different focus and theme for the day. I will definitely be taking part again.

Had the most amazing weekend been nourished and enjoyed 3 beautiful walks with Nuala. What an amazing leader who just made everything so relaxing and was so knowledgeable. Met some amazing friends. Can't wait for the next one

Had an amazing time hiking binevenagh today with Nuala and the girls. Such an amazing hike Nuala was so friendly full of knowledge and enthuasium will definately get back to another event as soon as I can.

I absolutely loved my evening hike with Nuala’s group .. apart from the exercise, fresh air and beautiful scenery there was good fun and social chat with the other hikers , tips on well being , lovely chocolate incentives and a great sense of individual and group achievement. I loved it .

I did my first guided walk last night. What a delight. Met a lovely bunch on people, and explored a stunning garden and forest that I hadn't been to before. This walk was sprinkled with some mindfulness practices which made me really relax and connect with the smells, sounds and beauty around me. In our busy lives we sometimes lose this important connection and I found this very stimulating. I learned so much from Nuala on the way, whilst inhaling the beautiful nature and scenery. I cannot recommend these guided walking experiences highly enough. Nuala exudes positivity and her local knowledge is fascinating. I will definitely be doing more of these in the future.

The most amazing experience, I hve went on 3 hiking trips with northstar well being. Nuala has so much information about the area. Her History and geography is 1st class. Nuala often provides a card reading which is lovely. The group ladies and men are lovely, it’s great to connect with so more lovely people with different backgrounds. Am looking fw in attending more hikes in 2023.

Nuala’s facilitation of the walk I was on was flawless. Just the right amount of stretching and checking in beforehand. Safety always taken into account which gave me as a participant a lovely feeling of being minded but with a very light touch. A great balance between rest stops and moving on to cover the ground within the timeframe. Nuala’s energy is always positive and good fun, with good information given about our surroundings. It was also a chance to meet some really lovely people. I highly recommend.

Enjoyed 2 different experiences with Northstar Well-being and Lifestyle over the past 2 weekends: Winter Weekend Walking Retreat Ballycastle and Binevenagh Summit Hike. In my opinion the wellness activities and the facilitation of the events are first class. Nuala brings her own brand of magic to these events: safety and wellness of participants of paramount importance; fantastic knowledge of the routes and areas of interest: attention to detail in planning and organising logistics and an infectious sense of enthusiasm and fun. Unique and thoroughly memorable experiences 🙏

Friendships are made, hearts are opened and fun is had.
Good nourishing food both for the body and soul.

I never knew walking at night in the forest could be so exhilarating. Our guide Nuala was amazing. She took her time, kept us together and super aware of our surroundings. Her talks and meditative techniques were spot on. Oh and hot herbal tea and chocolate in the middle was perfect. I didn’t believe I could do the walk and Nuala nudged me gently on to finish. I can’t wait for the next time.

The night walk on Ballykelly Forest was a lovely experience. Great to connect with nature, walk in silence for a while and meet other people with similar interests. The feel of the forest at dusk around you was something very special. Nuala was very welcoming and helpful as our guide. Highly recomended.

If you want to journal but don’t quite know how, then this programme is for you. From Day 1 to Day 30 you will feel supported, guided and inspired. It’s a beautiful experience and Nuala is an amazing lady - gentle, kind and interesting. Morning journalling is now my favourite - it brings contentment, focus and strength to each day. I cannot recommend it enough.

I completed the Rathlin Retreat with Nuala and 14 lovely ladies on Thus 11th - Sat 13th August. From our meeting up at the ferry with Nuala on Thursday to our return ferry on Saturday, I had truly the most unforgettable experience. Nuala's organisational skills were second to none - accommodation, food, walks, music, entertainment, swimming with seals, beautiful poetry, affirmations, stories - the list goes on and on. All had a big influence on me, challenging me in so many ways and making it so memorable for us all. You are truly inspirational Nuala and I am full of admiration for you and all that you achieve and do. 💖

For such a long time I had deliberated over signing up to a walking trip. Two reasons kept holding me back- as a naturally shy person I wasn’t too sure how comfortable I would feel in a new group. The second reason- simply, was I fit enough!

I finally took the plunge and signed up to do the walking retreat to Rathlin Island. Even in writing this review now I honestly don’t think my words will convey just how special this trip was. It was everything I had hoped for and more. A huge part in that was down to Nuala who led the group. What can I say- from the moment I met Nuala at Ballycastle Harbour I just knew everything was going to be ok. She simply oozes kindness and positivity, and it is clear that she cares deeply about everyone having the best experience. Her attention to detail is exceptional and the little extra touches (essential oils, pillow spray amongst many other things) all added to the overall wonderful experience.

We were blessed with glorious weather, scenery, food, an amazing group of ladies and memories that I’m sure we will all cherish for a long time.

Oh and in answer to my initial queries- I was immediately made feel so welcome and the trip was so inclusive that even my introverted self soon overcame any social awkwardness! And as for fitness levels- I would definitely say that the walks are achievable, and I always felt that I could go at a pace that suited me.

So for anyone who may be feeling like I was and is toying with the idea of such a trip, I would say go for it! You honestly will not regret it!

I feel so blessed to have spent two magical days on Rathlin with an incredible group of women under the care of the wonderful Nuala. From the minute we met until we left Nuala took care of our every need; food, treats, motivation, exercise. She combined this with opening up a world of fun, laughter and friendship. She encouraged us to appreciate not just the beauty in the environment but also in those around us. A weekend that that was good for the body, heart and soul.

What a way to explore the beautiful treasures of Rathlin Island with the effervescent Nuala leading the pack! Our 2 days were filled with fun, laughter, trekking over glorious hills and dales, and evening full of craic, shared wisdom and reflection. Thanks to Nuala for making this trip so enjoyable, easy and yet also inspiring and thought provoking! Wonderful from beginning to end 🙏🙏

I’ve been on a few of Nuala’s walks and hoping to join along in a few more now through the summer.
I absolutely love joining Nuala’s groups for an adventure and it’s a great way to meet new people and see new places.
