Beware of rug factory free lunch
Extremely friendly host. Very knowledgable.
Updating my review. Our host took us to a rug making facility that offered a free lunch. She asked for this review after the lunch but prior to leading us into a rug showroom and sales pitch. After we realized what we were really experiencing our opinions changed. We felt misled and short changed because this experience was not what we signed up for and we had hoped to stay away from this specific thing by getting a reputable private tour guide.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. Before the tour, your guide informed the group about the possibility of visiting a carpet workshop, and no objections were raised at that time. Nevertheless, we are saddened to learn that this part of the experience left you feeling disappointed.
Our guests’ satisfaction is always very important to us. We take your comments seriously and appreciate you sharing your perspective with us.

Rose was great, but she (agency) did lead us into a sales pitch for rugs.
Rose was great. Plenty of info and a great meal location. Unfortunately she led us into a rug sales pitch location. “No charge, no pressure, free lunch” should’ve been a clue. She did ask us and we did agree to it but we didn’t know exactly what we were getting into and after we’d eaten (actually great food) she asked for reviews. Had a QR code for us all to scan which we did and wrote some nice reviews. Then a quick stop to see how silk is gathered and rugs made, but when they directed us into the room where they rolled out a ridiculous amount of rugs, and then the swarm of salesman after and the “you’ve got time” encouragements to peruse more merchandise was a negative. Apparently this is supposed to be a trustworthy travel agency, and Rose is likely just doing what she asked but I’d be more specific as to what you want to see and don’t accept offers for free food

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re pleased to hear that you enjoyed Rose’s guidance, the information she shared, and the lunch experience. However, we were not aware that the visit to the carpet workshop had made you feel pressured to browse or purchase products. These visits are intended to introduce guests to local craftsmanship and cultural traditions, and we take your comments seriously. We will take your feedback into consideration to help ensure that future guests have a comfortable and enjoyable experience throughout their tour.
At the same time, we believe it is important to consider the overall experience, including the quality of the guiding service, the information provided, and the other arrangements made throughout the tour. While we respect your right to share your concerns, we do not feel that a two-star rating fully reflects the overall service provided, particularly when the feedback primarily concerns this single aspect of the experience. Nevertheless, we appreciate your comments and will continue working to improve our services.

Hakan and Ephesus: The Perfect Combination
Our guide to Ephesus, Hakan, was knowledgeable, funny and a good sport. One of our group is quick witted and with Hakan's excellent English he was able to catch the nuanced humor. He seemed to enjoy it.
We asked him to skip the rug factory (and the free meal) to visit a mini-village put together by a retired educator. We HIGHLY recommend you do the same. Then after Ephesus we went to dinner up in the mountains at an adorable village called Sirene. We asked Hakan to order for us and he felt such pressure, but he did a great job. He did not know this restaurant, but we told him to make it a regular for taking his guests to. Later, we found it was a Rick Steve's recommendation. We stumbled across it and was a perfect choice.... And a perfect tour overall.

We especially love hearing how he adapted the tour to your group’s interests and helped make the day feel truly personal.
Your visit to the local village and dinner in Şirince sound like wonderful additions to the experience, and we’re glad Hakan’s recommendations and help with ordering made the evening even more memorable. It’s fantastic to hear that you discovered a Rick Steves-recommended restaurant by chance!
Thank you for sharing your experience and for choosing Neopolis Travel. We’re so happy to know you had a perfect tour overall!
A great day in Kusadasi
Grl, Rose, did a great job as our tour guide today. We went to Ephesus, House of Virgin mary, a local lunch, and a low pressure rug demonstration.
Rose did a great job as our tour guide. She was very knowledgeable and explained everything very well. She was easy to understand and happy to answer questions. She was happy to please us and asked about our group so that she could do the perfect tour for us. She catered things to our group and got my approval as a group later before we did anything.
I would recommend this as the top thing to do in Kusadasi when you're here.
We were happy that we got Rose as our tour guide as she is excellent. She has an excitement about the places we went and a very happy personality. All of my group of 40 commented about how much they enjoyed the tour.
Taner, our the bus driver, did a great job also and got us there safely. He was very careful with his driving.
It was a perfect day in Turkey!
