Nearby Taxis 

The driver was great, but the app is awful, clearly the owners don’t give a damn about its development more concerned with their finances rather than the customer experience. It’s a waste of time pre booking as you might as well call when you arrive as they dispatch a taxi after the call, no mention of that. The only issue if your waiting and waiting and decide to cancel is a cancel fee that is deducted by the pre booking system…I bet that works perfectly. The software is clunky unrefined and clearly cheap. Noda and Eastcoast used to be brilliant…what a shame.

Dire service. Booked for 7:00pm, received a what’s app “your taxi is arriving” 1 minute later “your taxi has arrived” but no taxi. Driver marked us no-show and returned the job to the queue (must have seen a bigger fare job in the queue) had to wait until 7:45 with 79 year old friend with Parkinson’s and a 60 year old visually impaired. But the owner doesn’t care nor interested.

Absolutely disgraceful service. Booked a taxi at 8.29am. It is now 9.06am and a driver hasn't even been assigned. They've switched their telephones off and provide no email details on their app. As the owner has bought all of the other taxi companies in the area it is impossible for customers to go elsewhere or for his drivers, (who can't stand him), to find anywhere else to work. Greedy b******. The bairn has missed his school play now.

Can usually get a taxi when you want one and more or less on time, what I can’t understand is the waiting charge, have had two taxis in last week and each time I’ve been charged 60p waiting time, I know it’s not a lot but how is it calculated. The first time the only waiting time was opening the passenger door and sitting in the passenger seat, the second time the taxi was five minutes early but still charged waiting time ?

Used twice - first time didn’t turn up…. This time driver assigned who didn’t turn up and another driver eventually did - airport run - must do better - when you have Uber why use these people who don’t give a damn!!!

I had a horrible experience with city nearby taxi in Newcastle Airport on 27th August.I pre booked my journey home with advance.When I landed I was told to collect luggage and ring which I did.I was told Taxi is in corner.For next one hour I have chatted with at least three people in switchboard.Everyone gave me wrong information and refused to take responsibility.Last one even told me that I have cancelled the cab!I had to wait for more than a hour in rain with family.I had to call an uber.
I think this is disgusting service and nobody should use it.😡
