In 2006, founder Sophia Amoruso started an eBay store selling a highly curated selection of vintage pieces. The shop has grown to become an international style source offering both new and vintage clothing, shoes, and accessories. The name was inspired by the song and album “Nasty Gal.” Betty Davis, the patron saint of badass women, was known for her unapologetically sexy funk music which comprises our vision of femininity—complete with lamé platform thigh-high boots.

Nastygal = nasty customer service!!
Returns portal doesn’t work, been messaging them since Tuesday. Requested a Royal Mail returns label. Instead they send an inpost label. Contact them again request the correct label, have to start the whole process again long story short I’m still waiting for my returns label it’s now Friday. Such appalling customer service with a returns portal they know doesn’t work. I will avoid in the future it’s too much hassle much easier online clothing stores to order from with simple returns & customer service processes.

Like everyone else

Like everyone else, I have been trying to return my items for 4 days now. The first day I got through to a human instead of the ai assistant and they asked me how I’d like the item to be posted and then I didn’t hear from them. The same thing happened every single day. Twice I got through to a human, who said they’re sorting it and then no reply with the return label. I had to have the same conversation over and over again. I just want to return my items.

I’m absolutely furious with this…

I’m absolutely furious with this company. My return was delivered 7 days ago and I know they’ve received it, yet I’ve had no confirmation, no update and no refund. The customer service is a complete disgrace. There’s no phone number to contact anyone, the text service doesn’t work, and they completely ignore messages on Messenger. It’s beyond frustrating being left out of pocket with no communication whatsoever. Avoid if you expect any kind of customer service.

Order not sent

I ordered my items on 23/04. They have not arrived. I’ve ordered a size up in the shorts I need for a matching set. Now I’m going to have to pay another delivery fee and pay for next day delivery to assure my item gets here in time. I also don’t want to send the slightly too small shorts back until I’ve tried on the size up so I will likely end up too late to get a refund. I’ve received a message from them saying the tracking hasn’t been updated since the day I’ve ordered them so they haven’t even been sent out I will happily take this review down if it’s solved but I don’t think they will help

Poor returns process

Sent one incorrect, one poorly sized and one poor quality item. They try to make the returns process as difficult as possible. Suspiciously the order number isn’t found in the returns portal but works just fine for the order tracking. Since you can’t use the returns portal, you have to message them. Eventually managed to get through to a real person to generate a returns label and got my money back (minus c£7). Will not use again.

Returns portal does not work and its impossible to contact customer service. I sent them a message on Facebook messenger days ago and still no response. Ive also emailed with no luck. Avoid this company! I also realised I reviewed them in 2019 with 1 star which I had forgotten about. Hopefully ive learned my lesson this time.

I have been trying to seek a refund for…

I have been trying to seek a refund for an order for over a week now. The returns portal doesn't accept my order number which appears to be a common fault. I've contacted their chatbot for advice, emailed as advised and one week later have had zero contact. There doesn't appear to be any other way to seek customer service support so i'm going to be left £50 out of pocket. Would give zero stars if possible and would never shop here again- absolute scammers.

Nonexistent customer service and…

Nonexistent customer service and internet infrastructure. Returns portal recognises the order number in the first step however doesn’t recognise on the second step and therefore cannot process the return. The return FAQs state some items have to be returned to the seller/brand, I have tried to return it through Debenhams, Booboo, Warehouse, but always get diverted to Nasty Gal where the return doesn’t work. I was told there may be a returns label in the package but there isn’t. iMessage chat function with the AI bot is useless, a human gets back to you about 4pm and then they log off and the process starts again the next day. Still waiting on how to process refund.

Do not buy from this company

Do not buy from this company! Poor quality and zero customer service. Impossible to return items. The order number they generated is not recognised. Can only reach through messenger and I've been waiting 5 days for a response despite 3 messages.

Excellent customer service

I had a great experience with Kai.They were warm and welcoming from the start, which made the interaction feel easy and pleasant. What stood out most was their knowledge, they were able to clearly explain everything and provided all the information I needed for my order without any confusion. I truly appreciated their professionalism and efficiency. Excellent service overall!

No customer service, unable to return items

Hi, I’ve been trying to contact customer services via email, Facebook messenger and X as your returns portal is not recognising my order number but no response

After resorting to commenting on Facebook posts I can see I’m one of many having the same issue

Do not waste your time. U wont get a refund

I had already placed my order, then for some reason I checked trustpilot. The same has happened to me. Order no not recognised, need to download an app to send a message to contact them for a return. Absolute joke. I definitely wont be ordering off this site again.

Terrible customer service

I would give 0 stars if that was possible. I've tried to create a return on the returns portal which doesn't recognise my order number, despite the fact that to get onto the returns portal itself you have to select your order (which in itself requires the order number and worked fine) . When I've tried to contact someone about this to get it resolved, the WhatsApp doesn't work on android and absolutely no response on the Facebook link. I would advise people to avoid shopping with them because of this.

Order number doesn’t exist!

I’ve been having the same trouble as many other people with the returns portal not recognising my order number and customer service being worse than diabolical. By chance I tried to use the returns portal via Debenhams rather than Nastygal and it’s worked as it should to create the return label. Let’s see what happens with the actual refund now though.

Customer service is awful

Customer service is awful. I didn’t receive my order and it took 4 weeks of messages for them to locate my order. I am now trying to return it but the portal does not recognise my order number and I am now being ignored.

Avoid!!

Avoid!!! Not worth the frustration.
Especially if you’re trying to return something—they make it almost impossible and send you on a complete goose chase. Customer service appears to be AI-driven, and the links provided don’t even work. Absolutely atrocious.

Zero customer service.

All I wanted to do is return my item to get my money back but the website won't let me. Customer services don't care as they haven't replied to my messages and I've tried reaching out in social media. Only order from them if your willing to try and sell on if you don't like it

Returns are almost impossible …

I have been trying to do a manual return since 28 March as the portal does not recognise my order. On 4 April, I received an email from Perry at Customer Services asking which return carrier I'd like to use. I opted for InPost in my reply. Since then I have heard nothing. I sent a follow up email to advise that I would be out of the country from 16-25 April and asked for the InPost details as a matter of urgency so that I can return the item within the required 28 day period. I have had no reply as yet despite two follow ups.

This company makes their returns process difficult to impossible. I am in the UK and their UK returns portal redirected me to the US portal which then did not recognise my order. I emailed their Customer Services and have had intermittent emails but a manual return has yet to be processed. My first contact with them was on 28 March and, as of today 10 April, I am still waiting for details on how to return the item. Their business model seems to be to make returns as difficult as possible so that you give up, or they run the clock down on the 28 day returns window.
