Mylands Arvostelua 89

The colour, finish and service was better than any other product I've used. Will definitely be using Mylands in the future!

I received paint where the ingredients had completely separated. After stirring it was still far too lumpy. The consistency was so thick that the mixing stick could stand upright in it. I went to get a replacement, which was still thick and only just usable.

Overall, I am happy with the colour but not with the paint or the customer experience. I had taken time off work to do this, and I am not sure if I will use Mylands again.

I am very impressed with Mylands paint! The colour is so good and it goes on like a dream, you can really tell it’s good quality. Would 100% use again.

My first time using Mylands paint and I’ll definitely be using again. The best coverage of any paint I’ve used and the finish is lovely.

Can only give a poor response to Mylands paints. It’s a shame as I like the fact that they are still a family run business but.
Mylands Marble Matt;
First time I used this was for a client, lime colour, thought maybe it was just the colour going on a white base, it was so patchy, grinning on cutting in, coat after coat, got to the point where I thought was doing something wrong, managed to finish the job.
I tried the Marble Matt again in my kitchen.
The process was:
Remove all the old paint as plaster hadn’t been primed, re skim the wall, sand smooth, sealed with zinsser Gardz, undercoated with 2 coats Mylands coloured primer, then painted using Vermillion Orange Marble Matt.
Grinning on cutting in, felt scratchy when applying.
FIVE COATS later, the finish was not up to standard and I could still see variations in the finish. Not a level that I would be happy with.
Decided to changes brands and chose Farrow and Ball modern emulsion in a lighter different colour.
Two coats and the finish is perfect.

I can’t accept that five coats plus is acceptable, there is no way I would choose to use this paint on a job I was being paid for.

I left a less scathing review with photos on the Mylands website a couple of weeks ago, also asking their advice, which has never been published, even though the site has been updated, I have never heard back from Mylands

Also, when my wife went to get some tester pots at the Mylands factory showroom, the man serving was incredibly rude and dismissive of her.
He also mixed the wrong colour for me the next day.

So , all in all, I can’t give a positive review for Mylands Marble Matt emulsion.
Like I said before, as it’s a shame as it’s a family run business and it’s also only half a mile from where I live , but I will never choose or recommend the Marble Matt emulsion.

I love myland paint, but I suffer with mobility problems, so I ordered my paint to be delivered to my home address rather than travel to my local Brewers. But instead of delivering my paint to my home, it was delivered to a shop even further from my home than the Brewers shop. I'd like Myland to refund the £8 I paid to my good delivered, or arrange for the delivery as it was promised. Perhaps consider who you use to deliver your products.

I phoned Mylands to obtain technical advice regarding wood staining. I spoke with Martin Jones at length, he took the time to understand what I was trying to achieve and advised me of the most appropriate products and methods to achieve my aims. He shared a vast amount of technical knowledge and discussed examples he had seen. It was fantastic to speak with him, I came away with a level of clarity and comfort I had not expected. If only all technical support was this good. Thank you Martin, Thank you Mylands.
