This was a great experience throughout.

Firstly, the ability to talk to a real human being to check stock levels (unlike some outfits that take your money and then try to call down from their own suppliers).

Secondly, the delivery was scheduled even earlier than promised and

Thirdly, a delivery company that was happy to rearrange to a Saturday appointment and then kept us fully informed with a pin-point accurate time slot.

All in all, refreshingly competent !

Unfortunately, I didn’t read these reviews before placing an order. I found My Home Rocks while scrolling Facebook and ordered the Stella Gold set for £65 and the Oonagh Cream set for £55, plus £7.99 delivery: £127.99 altogether. I am absolutely furious and feel cheated by this experience.

The mats arrived with deep fold marks, damaged pile and torn areas of fabric. The marks have persisted since unpacking. The fabric is damaged. Repeated explanations about normal folding and compression do not address the torn fabric or damaged pile.

The Stella set’s cardboard sleeve was ripped, worn and heavily creased. The presentation was appalling, certainly not something I would give anyone as a gift. When you pay these prices, plus almost £8 for delivery, you expect much better than this.

What I discovered afterwards has left me even more disgusted. I found a recent video on the company’s social media showing close-ups of the mats. Comparing that footage with the item I received, I identified matching distinctive marks on the mat and matching tears, dents and damage to the cardboard sleeve and label. Those details have led me to believe I received the same mat used in the demonstration.

In that video, the presenter stands on the bath mat wearing outdoor shoes. The thought that this is the bathroom mat supplied to me at full price, after being stood on in those shoes, makes me feel sick as we do not wear shoes in the house in our culture and certainly not on a bath mat. A bath mat is something I expect to step onto with clean, bare feet, not something I expect to have been walked over in footwear during a sales demonstration.

Initially, I simply wanted replacements. I gave them the opportunity to put things right. Despite the photographs supplied, they repeatedly said they could not identify damage, refused replacements and told me to pay to return the items through their standard returns process.

Why should I have to pay to send back goods that arrived damaged? Their latest response to the original complaint said they had nothing further to add and would not continue corresponding. I find that dismissive and completely unacceptable.

They also stated that delivery occurred on 10 September. It arrived on 11 September, supported by my Ring footage and courier delivery confirmation. Having to challenge an incorrect delivery date on top of the product’s condition has made this experience even more frustrating and undermined my trust in their account.

Fortunately, my camera also recorded the mats being unpacked, documenting their condition straight from the packaging. I strongly recommend keeping delivery records and photographing or filming your unboxing. I am relieved I have that evidence. They have refused to recognise the damage I reported and will only offer a return at my expense, subject to their requirement that the items come back undamaged and suitable for resale. But the damage on arrival is precisely why I want to return them. This leaves me concerned that I could pay return postage only to have my refund refused because of the very damage I complained about. I am furious at being put in this position after spending £127.99.

I have since read other reviews describing similar concerns, and I bitterly regret not checking them first. I have reported my experience to Trading Standards and am pursuing a payment dispute with my payment provider.

I am angry, upset and absolutely disgusted. I paid £127.99 expecting undamaged, properly presented products. Instead, I have spent my time documenting damage and repeatedly chasing a resolution.

I will never buy from this company again. Read the critical reviews, look at customers’ photographs and think very carefully before spending your money here.

I visited this shop on 14 May. They told me that they did visits to customers’ homes to provide design advice. They said that in order to secure an appointment date, they required a £500 deposit. I have never paid upfront for a service before it was provided but I did with this company. Big mistake! They told me the owner was away but I would receive an appointment when she was back in 3 weeks time. 3 weeks passed but I received no contact. I contacted them for a date, and received no response. I then contacted them several times by email and their contact form, asking for my £500 back. I was completely ignored. It was clear that they had no intention of refunding my money so I informed my bank that I had been scammed and lodged a dispute payment fraud with them on 8 July. On 17 July I received a weird call from a worker at the shop saying that this is not normally how they would operate. She said I should have phoned rather than email for a refund - this is not what they indicated in the order confirmation they gave me. I told her I emailed and sent my requests for a refund via email and their contact form so I had evidence of the number of times I had requested my money back and they ignored me. I then said several times in the call for a refund and she left the call without refunding me!Totally bizarre. I’ve reported them to trading standards and have eventually got my money back from their bank last week, after almost 4 months. They have not apologised for the sheer amount of stress they have caused me by keeping my money. Why do they think that customers can just hand over their money to them and be happy for them to sit on it for months and give a dire service in return? Appalling. Based on this dreadful,experience I would advise people not to use this company and do not give them money until you receive the service. They have put me through so much distress and never apologised and I would never use them again. I’m using an online design service which has been brilliant and free, so no need to use this company who took my money and thought they could keep it without providing the service I paid for. This company gave me a huge amount of distress in my several attempts in trying to get my money back, and they simply didn’t care. All in all, a stressful and dire service from this company. If I could have given them zero stars, I would.

Unfortunately these came broken. I didnt realise as silly me didnt open. Disappointed as had brought these previously in Edinburgh and they got broken in house move. Victor Meldrew moment .... I dont believe it.

I have made a few purchases from this company. I bought both glass ornaments and they look beautiful, prompt delivery, will definitely be back. (I have left a smile off a few other pieces)

Love this shop - I bought this lamp in the gold/brass and liked it so much I bought the silver. It looks gorgeous in my spare bedroom and it provides a good amount of light, it has a lovely finish. The staff go out of their way to help and advise, plus you can have a laugh with them. I always chose to shop a local independent store - shop local for a great service.

Always a pleasure. Staff always polite and helpful, store always spotless and well arranged. Accessories are amazing shame cant afford to buy more of their products!

Very disappointing. Sent message via their contact form, no reply. Three separate dates given for delivery. When arrived was broken, I think mainly because of bad packaging. However when I complained I got an apology. Was told would be picked up and I could have my money back. We will see! Was also told that carrier would bring label for return, then told to print out return which turned out to be my own address !! oh dear.

Excellent customer service from start to finish! My Baobab reed diffuser refill arrived slightly later than expected due to the bank holiday, so I contacted Zoe to chase it up. She responded really quickly, acted on my email straight away, and kept me updated with a delivery date. The diffuser refill itself is amazing and smells beautiful. Fantastic service from ordering our Belgravia sofa to it being delivered. Had so many comments on how amazing it looks and so unique.

Really great experience! Called ahead to check that the light I wanted to order was actually in stock (after ordering two different lights from two other sites that both called after the order was placed to advise that the item was actually out of stock!!) and the lady that answered the phone was really helpful. She went to the stock room to personally check that it was in stock and put it aside for me to order online within 5 mins. Item came with no issues, no damage and no missing parts. The light is now up in our dining room and I am really glad I took the chance on this company.
