Dont waste your time with this horrible company! I have had nothing but horrible experiences. First time was when covid hit. Took 8 months to get the contacts I paid for. Then I went in to get an exam in 2020 and they tried to charge me $500 so i walked out. I tried them again today. They offered me $125 for an eye exam and 6 months of contacts. I took off work and went to one of the locations. They told me that the special expired a couple weeks ago and it would be $250 now. So, I left very disappointed again with their bait and switch. Then I went to their website and low and behold they are still offering the special. So I took my business to Americas Best and they treated me right.

Nunca visiten este lugar, lleve mis lentes que me costaron 400 dólares, ellos me hicieron mis exámenes de visión y cuando me lo entregaron, el resultado fue unos lentes con desperfectos irremediables, no me quieren devolver el valor de los lentes, y propusieron darme gratis unos lentes de la óptica de 50 dólares, pierdes tu dinero, tiempo y demás.. esto me pasó en la sucursal de flager.

EyeLab in Dawsonville is the worst…

EyeLab in Dawsonville is the worst place with the worst people. What they say you will pay and what you actually have to pay is totally different. When asked for trial pair of what I actually wear, which they didn’t have, so they gave me the worst brand possible and said I couldn’t get the actual kind I wear til I can order unless I order from them. I wish I could get my money and my time back.

Not Having A Good Online Experience

I ordered glasses online 4/20/22. I received an e-mail days later saying the frames are out of stock, choose another. I chose another only to be told those were out of stock, so I cancelled and received a refund. I decided to try again, 6/9/22, would receive 6/23/22… Online status says delayed. I called and was told the frames are on back order. This is ridiculous. If the frames are not it stock, show that online.

My appointment was at 630, I arrived at 631 and the receptionist stated that they don't see anyone past 630. Mam I have an appointment but she proceeded with an attitude. I politely gave her my insurance info, she claimed to not see the vision info, so I said that I would pay for it, myself. She turned redder than a fox's ass in a pepper patch! She gives me a tablet to put in my info and slams down in her chair. I finished and told her that I didn't want to be waited on because I didn't like her attitude. Poor customer service in Athens Ga

Fake Reviews on Google leading to a Bait-and-Switch Scam

TL;DR: If you're buying glasses out-of-pocket and care about not being exorbitantly overcharged, I highly advise against going to this store.

Here's a short but probably not comprehensive list of only some of the deceptive sales practices of this store:
- Instead of putting prices on the frames' labels, they are instead color coded with arbitrarily patterned, low contrast colors to indicate price. These color labels take up the same space as a normal numerical price tag, so I can only assume this is to make the frames harder to compare by price and to confuse you into mistaking the actual price. I'm taking colors like blue, light blue, and light purple, being spaced out randomly across their price spectrum.
- There are several advertisements of free lenses with glasses. However, you'll find out that the base cost of the prescription lenses at this store start at an overpriced $250 only after you've taken their free eye exam that won't be free if you don't buy their overpriced lens. Later on, the manager and salesman, Jean, admitted that practically no lens that the store actually sells will qualify for the terms of their free lens offer.
- The advertised "free" second pair of glasses is only for the base frame and lens. You will be sneakily double charged for any of the add-ons that you are "required" to get as well as any up-sales that you agree to.
- The word "warranty" was not uttered a single time by neither the salesman, Jean, nor myself, but two $25 warranty charges magically appeared on my receipt, one for the main and one for the "free second" pair of glasses.
- When going over the lens coating options, Jean explicitly said that the standard coat is free. However, my receipt shows two $35 charges for the standard coat.
- Right before completing the transaction, the salesman, Jean, said he'll add on this "Roll & Polish" thing for free. It was not free, but two $39 charges.
- The lead time for prescription glasses is actually one to two weeks. I assume this means they're outsourcing the lens cutting to the other side of the planet and shipping it to the US. Jean didn't mention this until after I had already paid.
- The itemized prices on my receipt don't match the prices he had on the form he was filling out as he prepared my order, nor do they match the prices given to me verbally.
- This store has a no-refund policy on glasses. You'll only find out about this when they print it on the receipt, after you've already paid them. You will not be given a refund even though you haven't even received the product yet. Jean says that the order for manufacturing the lens is placed immediately upon completing the transaction, implying that even if you leave the store to grab a quick bite at the Chick-fil-A next door while reading over your receipt, it would already be too late to cancel your order by the time you get back to the store.
- Citing the no-refund policy, the manager, Jean, refused to correct any of the charges added to my transaction that he said would be free but charged me anyways. The stated reason for their no-refund policy is that the glasses are customized made-to-order. However, this shouldn't apply to the warranty that he managed to sneak onto my order, but he even refused to remove that.

I can only assume this store operates by charging as much as they can get away with to insurance companies. I don't know how it will go, but I will try to file a credit card chargeback.

Edit/Addendum: I was lead to this small eye care store by Google Maps. My location (North Austin, TX) has a 4.7 with 100 reviews, accumulated in only 4 months of operation, a review volume that appears impossibly high. (One of these reviews is mine.) Comparable stores such as the Walmart, Target, and Costco vision centers in the area that have been in operation for decades have only 6-24, 17-118, and 13-14 reviews respectively.
My location only has 2 reviews on Yelp, one of which is mine.
At the time of writing, this franchise has 2.3 stars with 623 reviews here on Trustpilot.

Quickly glancing over other "My Eyelab" locations across the country shows that all of them have an unrealistically high positive review volume. For example, one in San Antonio has 4.9 stars at 3211 reviews while only having 2 stars and 14 reviews on Yelp. This leads me to believe they are buying fake positive reviews only on Google Maps. (The FTC has deemed this practice to be illegal.)

What a great experience

What a great experience, this was the first time I've had telemetry eye, but, it was awesome. The staff is exceptional and pleasant. Definitely recommend this store.

Terrible Customer Service

Ok so I decided to go to EyeLab because America’s Best was completely booked. The initial exam was ok but the day I pick my new pair of glasses up. The only employee was a rude woman who wasn’t even trained properly to adjust and fit the glasses to where it fits the customer face. I asked her for tighter readjustment cause my face is narrow. The next thing she said is “Well there’s nothing I can do about that”! To make matters worse her demeanor was nonchalant and very unbothered. I’m like Wow!! So basically we have to go to a completely different location to have the glasses fitted properly! How unprofessional! I walked out of the store with the pair of glasses literally falling off of my face!! Fast forward - I called Corporate thinking they would attempt to resolve the issue with the rude employee. They advised I would receive a response within 24-48 hours and gave me a ticket # for the complaint. That was a joke and a waste of time. They didn’t even attempt to follow back up with me within the promised time frame. I called them back and the only explanation they could give was “the store hasn’t responded back to us yet”. Problem was never resolved so I ended up returning the pair of glasses - no way I dare give this trash eye company any of my hard earned money. I hope EyeLab goes out of business for good!! Don’t even deserve the one star I selected!

Me and my husband had gotten our…

Me and my husband had gotten our Glasser ther aswell,for some reason our eyesight has gotten worse,they don't have an optometrist to really check on you ,I guess that's why it's cheap ,paid 90$per glasses compared to let's say sams wer u have to pay for eye checkup prescription and the lens and frame but when I got my glasses over my eyes didn't hurt at all...

Worst place to go for eye check up

My eyelab is the worst place to go for eye check up. It's a scam. No actual doctor works with you directly. A refractionist is remotely checking your eye and then a unlicensed person is fitting you for contact lenses who does not know what to do if the vision is not clear. Doctor not available anytime over phone or video or text. Please do not use My eyelab . I specifically went to greensboro, NC my eyelab on Wendover. That's the worst one with poor customer service.

Terrible customer service and below standard product

My glasses are not 4 months old and they are chipping inside the lens. Not on the outside where you can feel it. It keeps spreading. I went in to the store across from the hospital in Concord, NC where I bought them. When I showed them to the guy working there he immediately accused me of dropping them, which I had not. He went on to tell me I would have to buy new lens! They only guarantee them for 30 days.
It's clearly a defect in their product!! Not his problem and he didn't like my attitude. Then I call their corporate office where I get a man that can't speak good English. I had a hard time understanding him. But he was even less concerned about the situation and even more rude. He said they were cover for 30 days and that was it. I commented that they must not have a lot of confidence in their products if they only warranty them for such a short time. He told me I should have paid extra and put a warranty on them. No one offered me any such warranty and i knew nothing about it. I work customer service everyday and if I treated and or spoke to my customers they way I was spoke to and treated yesterday, I wouldn't have customers or a job. I'm glad they can lay down at night and sleep well knowing their products are below standards. I learned my lesson, I won't waste my money with anything they have ever again.

Your Rep said this, "You don’t have a day off?"

Yesterday I received a text message stating that my glasses were ready to be picked up. When I looked at the schedule for the hours of operation for Eye lab its from 10am - 6pm and closed on Sundays. On June 07, 2022, @ 11:07 am I called and representative answered Eye lab. I said Good Morning and my name I stated the hours of operation and my works schdule and asked if the 2 pairs of glasses can be mailed, after about 2 mins on the phone representative she states, "You don’t have any days off?" I just stopped talking... I had enough with bad customer service. There you go here's how my experience went with your hourly worker!!!! (As if people don't work!!).

No Instruction!

After I was seen over the web, contacts and glasses were ordered. I was happy until I was given the contacts only.....I have never used contact OR glasses EVER.....WT..what?? am I to do with this stuff????? I am supposed to stick these in my eyes, when, how long do they stay there.....REALLY!!!!!

Avoid MyEyeLabs

I could kick myself for EVER going into MyEyeLabs in Cumming Ga on 1/24/22, but they were new, just opened several months b4. Staff was friendly but unorganized as I observed them in action. Wasn’t especially impressed with either their quality or selection, 2 for 89 was bogus to begin with, but I blame me for not leaving, I found several pairs I liked. Bill still came to over 1K. When I was notified 2 weeks later that my glasses were ready, I went back & for the most expensive pair749$ they had no eyeglass case to go with eyeglass, nor did they offer any case that glasses would fit in.?
The other pair of glasses, the ear wrap plastic was loose on both sides was loose and would slide over 1/8-1/4 inch.
Told employee that wasn’t acceptable & he first said that that’s the design of those glasses (Been wearing glasses since I was 6yrs old & that’s bogus).
He then offered to superglue them???
Told him better not see doing that on my New Glasses, told him wanted my money back if frames weren’t rite . He waffled about refunding any money.
He offer to send them back for new frames. Week later they were ready.
Still not perfect, what I would expect from new 599$glasses
