Do yourselves a favour and do not use them. Conveyancers do not respond even after persistent requests for contact and updates we get nowhere. As a result of these constant delays and lack of willingness to resolve a situation I have had to move my possessions into storage and sleep on the floor at a family members. In my opinion, Samantha Hamilton is an alleged narcissist. I would not recommend her firm Mullus and Peake, either, even if my life depended on them. She will also be even harder to get hold of, to work on your file, since being, fairly recently, granted the power to deal with the property and financial affairs of missing people, or hostage victims, by the Office of the Public Guardian. It has been 7 years and still we wait for Samantha to devise a Statutory Will, which a Judge at the Court of Protection, ordered, on 28.04.2015, after I requested one. The Honourable Judge also ordered an investigation into the underselling of a huge Highbury house, by my mother, a non practising barrister and clever business woman, to NHS and private doctors, on what would have been her dead baby brother’s, a retired doctor’s, birthday, 12.03.2014 and that appears to have been shelved, even after I rang the Senior Partner in 2019 and he quickly organised a meeting with a Barrister, Samantha and my siblings. When I first rang Samantha Hamilton, more than 7 years ago, she batted off with that she got the “difficult” cases, eg a retired doctor GP, who used to keep walking into her Solicitors’ Offices to complain. He evidently had some mental capacity, to find their address in Romford, Essex, but he clearly didn’t have a leg to stand on and she decided to disempower him, by redirecting all his post, to her offices. I should have realised not to touch her with a barge pole, after that and I should also have read the reviews. I chose her from a list of 62 Court of Protection appointed Deputies, handed down to me and my siblings, by the Judge. What is the point of having Judges and Court, if Samantha Hamilton cannot carry out Court Orders in a reasonable, timely fashion?

Horrendous service. 2 1/2 years of chasing & still not sorted probate. Fees have magically increased by thousands, though the case was only worked on when we chased. Constant excuses but no action. Flippant responses to grieving family. No duty of care. Even tried to put us off going to ombudsman by threatening us that it would only make things take longer. Unbelievable! Avoid at all costs.

I cannot find one positive thing to say about our experience with Mullis and Peake. From beginning to end we had severe frustrations with lack of communications, unhelpful communications once received, timescales of responses and unhelpfulness from every member of staff we spoke to at the firm. I would never recommend Mullis and Peake to anyone. I appreciate they may have several cases at one time, but for the customer going through the process this can be a stressful and unknown process and there was absolutely no understanding of customer service and want to help the customer through the process.

Romford branch are very unhelpful and not considerate at all with our current bereavement.The only people who have shown some compassion is the receptionists. They never reply to emails or even phone calls. They seem to change their rules each day as one minute we get told we can do a certain thing and even how to do it via themselves as our executor pulled out then the next day they have changed their minds and are now stating that we cant do what they previously told us we could and have now let the executor who pulled out continue to do it even though we have a signed letter and pa15 form too stating this too and we are getting no where fast at all. We have tried our hardest at being helpful as we have everything they need to start probate but they still wont acknowledge anything that we have to say or can do for them to help. You would think they would want what we have to start the ball rolling and to save them the hassle of doing it all as they will still be getting their money at the end of it. And to also say that there is a back log with probate and it can take 12 months plus is a total lie as i spoke with probate myself and they said 8-12 weeks

I was extremely impressed with the service I received from Paul Fursman. Paul was extremely thorough and prompt throughout the process. I would highly recommend Paul to anyone I know buying a property.

Under huge pressure, chasing up a cheque payout with these, and Ann goes on a power trip. Rude, bossy and very unhelpful for a chase up of where things are.

Dawn Verney at Mullis & Peake was outstanding and simply put a cut above the many convenyensers we have used before. In light of the pandemic she responded in good time to queries and was never on the side holding the ball. She made time to explain legal terms i.e when I basically asked a silly question she was respectful and detailed in legal and lehmann terms so I understood fully. Dawn gave me the confidence and transparency I expect in this type of transaction. She took the initiative to escalate matters at a critcal point which required additional resources from a specialised area. Her colleagues who assisted the transaction in various other elements were efficient and impressive, Sophie, Eva you know who you are. Great team. Great Value and Great effort getting this over the line before Stamp duty cut off, saved me thousands. And the advise throughout also gave me the confidence to also hit back at the seller. POW POW and was able to get more value out of them. Especially when I was paying top dollar... actually sterling.... I highly recommend this firm. Kindest Regards James 131332

Absolutely shocking. Deceased parents nominated them as Executors, 18 months later, still waiting for completion. Have referred them to the Legal Ombudsman. Sure my parents thought they were doing the right thing but just left us with a nightmare. Still asking us for information regarding my parents affairs. What are we paying them for. Avoid at all costs.

- You want to be treated with contempt
- You want communications that are condescending and pompous
- You don't want any updates about your case, unless you have to ask because you've heard nothing for months
- You like receiving 'answers' to your questions that are vague and do not address what you asked
- You want to made to feel like a nuisance for asking questions about legal matters you do not understand
- You want to receive absolutely no guidance about the process, what is happening, when/if it may happen
- You want to wait and wait and wait and wait and wait, then go on waiting for some kind of progress
