Stressful Experience
Very disappointing experience at Milan Linate Airport.
I was travelling with my son, who has Type 1 Diabetes, and carried a medical letter stating that some of his supplies should not go through the X-ray scanner. I placed all of his medical supplies in one bag, but security staff took issue with this and insisted that some items should be scanned. The staff were unfriendly and lacked the understanding we have experienced at other airports.
There also appeared to be very poor communication between passport control, security and the boarding gates. Delays at passport control after initial security screening held up passengers for at least three flights, resulting in many people missing their flights despite already being in the queue for in well over an hour.
Overall, a stressful and frustrating experience.
