Had some issues, with late delivery

I have updated my review to 4 star as a manager in Aberdeen sorted this all out in professional manner, with apology and explanation, credit where credit is due, thank you

Driver was kind, courteous and went above and beyond to ensure my delivery was in a secure area until I could arrange help.
I am disabled and did not expect the delivery to arrive until tomorrow. The delivery driver unloaded the pallet in a more accessible area for me to secure the goods.
He could easily have left it in the parking bay but knew I was unable to move it so spent a little extra time to secure the goods, giving me peace of mind and time to contact my gardener. Very nice guy who is a credit to the haulage company.

We recently had a parcel booked for collection from our home on Skye by a 3rd party. Unfortunately there was an issue with the pickup, but it was immediately resolved with a quick phone call to to a very helpful lady in the Inverness depot. Within a couple of hours the parcel had been picked up and was on its way. Great, friendly customer support who resolved this minor issue super quickly. The large international couriers should take note - this is how to do it!

This is a review regarding their hiring process.
The worst interview I have ever attended very unprofessional and lazy! The guy who interviewed me swore throughout the whole interview. His attitude was just appalling and lazy!
I was told I would hear back in a week and never did I had to get in touch to see what was going on. He gave me excuses to delay the decision. I don't think they have any intention of hiring someone they do not know. He even said he was thinking about giving the job to his nephew in the interview, who does this! When I asked if I can get information on where to review the interview process I was just ignored.
Get someone who can do a job professionally!

5 stars as far as pick up from seller to drop off in Elgin for Monday (booked by me on the phone) delivery. On Monday, no sign of delivery so spoke to a lovely lady in Inverness depot who contacted Elgin office (1 star) to query non delivery. Apparently the chap had "misread" the delivery on Monday instructions!!?? So people, just because the tracking says "scanned onto vehicle", it does NOT mean you're going to get your parcel. I wonder whether they will reimburse me for a day sitting at home twiddling my thumbs?

It sometimes goes to show that people only review when they have a complaint! I cannot fault the Argyll Depot and team. They have always gone above and beyond with any special requests, great communication brilliant staff, always happy to help. Highly recommend.

Can see why the reputation of this company is so bad. Not only there service but their drivers are happy to hammer through puddles in their vans soaking toddlers in freezing conditions

This company has the worst customer service and delivery drivers.
He rang the bell and not getting an immediate answer left without trying the bell again or the back door. I was in the house.
A complaint to the Inverness office was met by a rude person not interested in a complaint.
Had to wait till the following week for delivery where I asked the driver why he did not make more of an effort to contact " I was in a rush and it is Friday" Tell your supplier not to use M&H

They have done it again. Simple 13 kg parcel delivered to customer badly damaged and has to be replaced by me. Their insurance only gives a cover value of £1.30 per kg irrespective of the type of product. On top of that they have a £250.00 excess. My goods worth £30.00 per kg. Under a claim they would only be worth £13.00 total. So I loose out by £300.00. NOt good enough so will be changing courier service provider

M&S were subcontracted by DX Delivery to delivery an item I had ordered from Homebase. A LOT of errors on DX's side, but once I managed to get through to the Aberdeen branch of M&H my item was delivered quickly. Professional team and went above and beyond to get my item delivered before I went on holiday, would use again.

Have used them for years. Local team good sevice and within Scotland. They use subcontractors South of the BOrder. Had problems with goods being delivered severley damaged. Buckets inside packed boxes burst big time and powder contents scattered to the winds. Though I was insured. That is the big catch when yu rread the conditions of carriage. Goods are valued by weight per kg as per Haulage Acssociation. Curently £1.30 per kg. If you make a claim then weight of ogds sets how much insurance yu will get. If weight times £1.30 ispayout. However. There is a £250.00 excess. In my case 25 kg of product at £30.00 per kg I did not reach the threshold for payment. Total shipment value lost with no compensation was over £600.00

First time dealing with this company. Order was a combination oven. I was kept up to date and on the day of delivery, I was unexpectedly called into work in the morning for an hour, so missed the parcel delivery. Called the office in Inverness when I got home, and asked if the driver was still in the area to deliver, a lovely lady dealt with this and told me the driver would be back in 5 mins. The driver, was polite friendly and told me he would have come back later anyway. For me, this was a brilliant first time experience. Thank you 😊

Worked with M&H for over 20 years, from the time they shared space with FEDEX in the Carse (Inverness).
Grafters one and all....they get through a huge amount of work in any one day and will help you out whenever they can, despite being overworked across the board from office to warehouse to drivers. Don't go by the whingers that put one star on a review.....the world if full of people that expect their deliveries to be there at 9am every morning after the night before online order..."get a grip".
M&H are, to the man, down to earth real people as are the girls in the office. Top notch. Keep up the good work

Lost my parcel, delivered to wrong address. no help over the phone, just told by a rude lady to go back to the people i booked the delivery through (which was M&H)
Useless

Useless Did not deliver in 7 attempts. you just have to be home when they decide to appear.
after 3 months of trying to deliver a router I had to cancel with the company that has sent it
ordered something else from Xiaomi and again this company can't deliver.
ordered before to Glasgow and was texted and emailed and let know a window of 1 hour but this guys don't care. they have a very bad system and customer service does not help at all. you notice they don't give a damn about the customer

If I could give no stars I would. Probably the worst logistics company in the country. DO NOT USE! They "lost" a consignment of perpex and failed to deliver. No co.pensation, a failure to inform the customer regarding insurance. Rude, unhelpful staff and shocking service. An absolute disgrace and should not be allowed to trade.

Ordered internal door. Delivery was 2 weeks late even sender did send on time. Came with multiple scratches and huge hole in the middle of the door. Tried to refuse to take, been told was paid only for delivery. On packing was lots foot prints.

Worst experience with a delivery company yet! Worse than Yodel (and I didn’t think that was even possible!)
Organise delivery with office for day that suits me and they come on the wrong day not once but twice! Phone office to check what’s happening and the man that I spoke to can’t seem to tell the truth if it kills him! Left for ages on hold when trying to get ahold of them to find out what’s going on! What’s the point in organising a delivery on a day that suits the customer if you can’t manage to deliver on the right day?
Making a mistake with something and apologising is one thing! But continuing to make the same mistake shows no growth or learning nor a desire to actually improve anything!

Words fail me to describe the inefficiency and rudeness of the staff that work in this awful company.
The risk is not worth taking a chance with this company.
