Sold the incorrect policy from this company, told in writing at contact point that I wished to move and during initial interview. Advisor did not include this detail and denied knowledge after despite my sending written confirmation of sale prior to inception of mortgage. Result a £5k loss to myself to put right his mistake and a successful claim awarded in my favour to the ombudsman, all details available on their website. To add insult to injury MGI refused to refund me my lifetime policy with them which cost £2k and had only been fully utilised once.
