I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with a procedure I received at your facility at Medicana International Hospital. The treatment was unexpectedly and excessively painful, far beyond what I was led to believe was normal.

More concerning is the permanent damage I have sustained as a result. The area on the back of my head where hair was intended to be removed now exhibits visible damage. This was recently brought to my attention by my barber, who confirmed that such damage is not an expected outcome of the procedure.

Following this advice, I have conducted my own research and have found my barber's assessment to be correct. The permanent damage to my hair and scalp, along with the excruciating pain I endured, is unacceptable, and I remain traumatised by this experience.

It was a good experience for me, during which I underwent an examination and diagnosis for my back pain. I will listen to the advice of Dr. Ismail, the neurologist. I must also thank Marwa for her assistance with translation and facilitating the treatment process. Overall, it was an excellent treatment experience

The Worst Experience of My Life – Avoid Medicana Istanbul at All Costs

I deeply regret ever stepping foot into Medicana Hospital in Istanbul for a hair transplant. What I went through was not just unprofessional — it was a complete nightmare that has left me emotionally traumatized, physically scarred, and financially robbed.

From the moment I arrived, it was clear that the hospital cared more about money than patients. I was treated like cattle — rushed in, given barely any information, and lied to about every single aspect of the procedure. I was promised professional care, a certain number of grafts, and a smooth process. Instead, I received what felt like a botched job by people who were either untrained, uninterested, or both. The “medical team” couldn’t even answer basic questions, and no one explained what was going on as they shoved me from one room to another like a product on an assembly line.

The procedure itself was a disaster. I was left in pain, bleeding, and in absolute confusion. Hygiene standards were shockingly poor — it was dirty, chaotic, and honestly, I feared for my health. They barely checked on me afterward. I was given generic aftercare instructions and sent away with zero follow-up. My scalp is now patchy, scarred, and looks worse than before. It’s humiliating. I have to live with this result every day when I look in the mirror.

This hospital should not be offering hair transplants — or any kind of medical service. What they’re doing is dangerous, deceitful, and unethical. I wouldn’t wish this experience on my worst enemy. Please do not trust your body, your hair, or your health to these people. I am now seeking corrective surgery elsewhere and will be pursuing formal complaints. This was one of the worst decisions I’ve ever made.

Je me permets de vous écrire aujourd'hui, non sans une profonde colère et un désarroi grandissant, pour vous faire part de mon expérience qui, je dois le dire, s'est malheureusement transformée en cauchemar.

Je suis née avec une malformation nasale.

À l'âge de 32 ans, j'ai pris la décision, certes difficile, de franchir le pas, espérant mettre un terme à ces souffrances. J'ai alors contracté un crédit de 3 000 euros pour financer cette opération, un projet mûrement réfléchi et attendu depuis si longtemps.

Votre agence a retenu mon attention grâce à un marketing séduisant et des avis plutôt positifs. Après plusieurs échanges avec un de vos collaborateurs, Teoman, qui m’a assuré que l'ensemble de mes besoins serait pris en compte, j'ai accepté le devis proposé de 2 800 euros, pensant être enfin sur le point de réaliser cette opération essentielle pour ma santé et mon bien-être.

Le jour de mon arrivée en Turquie, tout semblait se dérouler pour le mieux. L’accueil fut chaleureux, l’organisation parfaite. Je me suis sentie rassurée par la gentillesse du personnel et l'efficacité des premières démarches, même si j’étais déjà légèrement déstabilisée par la barrière linguistique, malgré la présence de mon conjoint.

Cependant, les événements ont basculé de manière brutale et inattendue. Ce n’est qu’à 17h30, peu avant l’opération, que j’ai enfin rencontré le chirurgien. Quinze minutes plus tard, alors que j’étais déjà prête, en tenue opératoire, terrifiée mais résolue, Meryam est venue m'informer d'une erreur dans le devis. On m'explique soudain que l'intervention ne peut pas se limiter à une simple rhinoplastie, mais qu’une septoplastie est également nécessaire, ce qui augmenterait le coût de 1 500 euros.

Cette somme supplémentaire, annoncée à la dernière minute, m’a été imposée sans la moindre alternative, tandis que le chirurgien refusait de procéder à l’opération initialement convenue.

Je ne peux vous décrire l’état de choc et de panique dans lequel je me suis retrouvée. J’avais contracté un crédit pour cette opération et voilà que l’on m’imposait un choix impossible, le tout à quelques instants de l’anesthésie. On m’a ensuite proposé de réduire cette somme à 1 300 euros, puis à 600 euros, comme si l’on marchandait au marché, dans une situation où ma santé et ma sécurité étaient en jeu. C'était humiliant et terrifiant.

À cela s’ajoute une demande de prolongation de mon séjour de deux jours, engendrant des frais supplémentaires pour l'hôtel, ainsi que l'achat d'un nouveau billet d'avion, une charge que je ne pouvais absolument pas assumer.

Mon conjoint, qui devait repartir comme prévu, est rentré, me laissant seule dans cette ville inconnue, sans ressources pour financer mes deux nuits supplémentaires. J'ai sollicité l'agence pour obtenir un soutien financier, sans succès. J'ai alors vécu ce qui restera l'une des périodes les plus traumatisantes de ma vie. Me voilà, seule dans Istanbul, une ville où je ne parle ni la langue, ni même l’anglais, fraîchement opérée, avec des pansements sur le visage, des bleus, sans argent pour me loger, et totalement ignorée par votre agence. On m'a traitée avec une indifférence glaciale, me laissant littéralement à la rue.

J’ai supplié, littéralement supplié Rim, en larmes, de m’aider, de m'héberger même si cela était nécessaire. J'étais à bout. Mais à aucun moment je n’ai senti la moindre compassion, le moindre soutien. L’hôtel exigeait 120 euros par nuit, et malgré ma demande d'une solution plus modeste, votre agence m'a complètement abandonnée.

Je n'ai reçu ni excuses, ni explications. J'ai vécu ce séjour comme une véritable épreuve, un traumatisme qui m’a laissée avec le sentiment d’avoir été abandonnée, non pas par une institution professionnelle, mais par des personnes qui n’ont même pas pris la peine de me traiter avec humanité.

Je vous laisse imaginer mon désarroi, ma solitude et ma peur face à cette situation. Ce séjour restera gravé dans ma mémoire comme l'un des pires moments de ma vie. Je me sens trahie

I really appreciate and recommend Medicana Ataköy hastanesi ,i had my C section with Dr Çiğdem and it was the best choice that I did ,i was feeling just like princess
If you care about your health and hight quality services you must also do this choice

FRAUDSTERS & THIEVES

Worst experience ever, full of fraudsters. We went for a hair transplant, they over harvested my donor area pulling around 5000 grafts out and only planted around 500 on my head SCAM. I heard from a local turkish person that they freeze most of the grafts to sell to other people. I do not recommend this hospital for any sort of surgery or transplant. I had to ask for the guarantee 3 times which was a fake guarantee because I asked to go back and they refused and stopped replying. The recruiter we spoke to was named Abdullah from medicana, he will sell you a lot of fake promises, avoid him.

DO NOT GET SURGERY HERE! I went for a breast lift, implants and reduction of areola. They are very uneven! One implant is 2 inches higher than the other. They have completely dropped and my nipples are facing downwards. One areola is twice the size of the other. I have had consultations at other clinics, and they said I will need at least 2/3 surgeries to fix it and over £13,000. They also made me sign a document in Turkish while I was being sedated. They also claimed I owed another €2,000 and tried to take my card to make the payment while I was on heavy pain killers recovering from surgery. If I didn’t have a friend there helping me, I would have been completely scammed. I also had pus coming out of my scars. This has been the most horrible experience.

Clear FRAUD!!!! NOT RECOMENDED

Clear FRAUD, I am a young student who went for a hairtransplant to medicana hospital. They promise a lot of things before the transplant. Like if I dont see any difference I can go back for free but thats a lie. They didnt even do the full 5000 grafts which were also promised and in the contract, instead they only planted around 1000 grafts. There is a guy who's name is Abdullah, please be careful he is a big FRAUD. If there was an option for 0 stars I wouldve chosen for it

Kimseye tavsiye etmem, bu bir para tuzağıdır. 2300TL ödeyip muayene olduktan sonra göz lazer aletlerinin olmadığını söylediler ve 6 gün daha beklemeliyim. Malesef çağrı merkezinden bana yanlış bilgi verdiler. Aynı gün işlem yapılacağını söyledikleri için gittim, parayı ödeyip muayene olduktan sonra, malesef aletlerimiz kurulmamıştır diyorlar. Hatalarını kabul ediyorlar ama para iadesi oluşturmiyorlar. Şikayetleri ciddiye almiyorlar. Asla burda tedavi olmayın hiç tavsiye etmem. Dunyagöz hastanesini tavsiye ederim.

I have been doing check-ups at Medican for years. Since I have been living abroad for the last 3 years, I cannot wait for some results. They said don't worry, they will answer you either via email or WhatsApp. I've been trying to get an answer for 3 weeks, but no click. Neither the doctor nor the check-up specialist responds. After paying so much money, the doctor doesn't notice you. Very shameful!

Cea mai proastă experiența! Am platit 12000 euro pentru 12 implanturi si 28 dinti zirconiu anatomic.La o luna dinții au inceput să se spargă,proteza mandibulara a cazut impreuna cu 2 pivoți din implant! Le am tot cerut certificat de garanție si o notă cu toate procedurile care mi s au facut! Au spus sa merg linistita ca mi vor trimite pe whatsapp. Nu au trimis nimic! M am reîntors în Turcia ,Istanbul pentru a mi restaura lucrarea, dar m au tratat foarte prost! Mi au cerut alți bani pentru lucrarea de sus ( a maxilarului) lucru care nu l am acceptat, au restaurat dinții sparți cu compozit dar m au ținut doar 2 zile.Practic și au bătut joc ! Nu vă mai lăsați păcăliți de tot ceea ce spun ei! ( mentionez că ultima data când am plecat ,am platit tot ,adică hotel ,taxiuri injecții pentru infecțiile cauzate de implanturi...) NU RECOMAND PENTRU DANTURA MEDICANA!!!

7 Mayıs gecesi karın ağrısı şikayeti ile gece 23:00 civarı Beylikdüzü Medicana'ya başvurdum. Tamamlayıcı sağlık sigortam var. Pazartesi günü için rapor istediğimi belirterek serum tedavisi gördüm. Acilde kayıt açan kişi bana acilde 12den sonrasında ertesi gün için rapor yazılabileceğini iletti. Ben de 2 gün rapor yazın o zaman dedim ve hastanede tedavimi biterek ayrıldım. E-nabız sisteminden görüyorum ki sadece poliçemden provizyon almak için gerçek olmayan bir kayıt açılmış .gece 1 de evimde coktan uyumusken 1:20de serumla ilgili girişler yapılmış görünüyor konu ile ilgili hastaneyi cuma gununden beri arıyorum bir muhatap bulamıyorum. Acil donus bekliyorum

AVOID WE WERE STUCK IN TURKEY AS THEY HAD NO RECORD OF OUR PCR TEST BOOKING!!

Having booked a private PCR test at konya on saturday at 4pm, after driving 6 days from the UK with our dog, we arrived at the appointment to be told by staff they were not doing PCR tests as i was the weekend. We needed to have it that day as we were due to get the ferry the next day to north cyprus & needed the test to enter the country. Disgusting service received from them & they didnt even speak English we were trying to communicate via google translate. AVOID AT ALL COSTS !!
