Well where do I start?!? The Awakening Retreat at Godwick Hall was so many things! From the moment I arrived I felt totally relaxed and received a very warm welcome from Pamela. This was my first retreat and the first of many I hope. I was a little apprehensive as this was my first but I needn’t have been. I enjoyed every single moment. All the other ladies on the retreat were so friendly and relaxed. The house itself is beautiful, Pamela, Marie and Kieron are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met!
The nutritious meals, supplements, drinks and snacks created by Kieron and Pamela were absolutely, next level, delicious!
The yoga and meditation sessions by Marie were fabulous, held in the big barn which was a very short walk away.
Our every need was thought of. I haven’t felt that relaxed for a long time. I hardly looked at my watch the whole time, I certainly didn’t need my phone and the TV in my room was not used! It was total escapism and relaxation.
I thoroughly enjoyed my massage. There was a matcha workshop, sauna, pool & even an ice bath
We made beautiful face oils which we could then take home and we even tried face yoga!
The whole experience was beautiful, nourishing and restorative. I have been ‘floating’ around this week since I’ve been home, still feeling far more relaxed than normal and I’ve been home for 5 days!

The weekend retreat was absolutely fantastic. The hosts Pamela (nutritionist), Kieron (chef) and Maria (yoga teacher) were perfect hosts and generously devoted their time to ensure each guest was well looked after. The plant based food and menus were carefully chosen to ensure they were nutritiously balanced, healthy and delicious. Vegan and gluten free options were available on request. The attention to detail was excellent and the tables laid for dinner were always incredibly well thought out and put together. Kieron went out of his way to ensure everyone was adequately fed and any allergies were catered for.  The morning yoga practices provided by Maria were uplifting and energising while the evening practices were very relaxing to support a good nights rest.  There was a swimming pool, cold plunge and sauna for those wanting to use them.  The venue (Godwick Hall Estate) was perfect for a retreat and sitting in such a quiet rural location surrounded by nature meant that there were few distractions apart from the wildlife and there is lots of space to wander off and explore. Everyone in the group was very friendly and respectful and gelled very quickly. I left the retreat feeling, uplifted, rested, restored and well fed.  I would highly recommend the Awakening retreats with Mayu Retreats who go above and beyond to ensure your retreat is a most memorable one. 

A wonderfully curated wellness weekend with the right balance of relaxation and bespoke workshops. The nutrition, menus, culinary delights and their presentation were, quite simply, the highlight. As a family we are Mayu devotees and enjoy Kieron’s specialities as a real treat when we are on the north Norfolk coast.

Mayu were fantastic to work with. They really listened to what we wanted and delivered food that was not only amazing but loved by all our guests. They were so detail-oriented and went above and beyond to make everything look beautiful as well as taste incredible.

We didn’t have a master of ceremonies for the reception, so we were largely running things ourselves, but their team helped with timings and coordination which made a huge difference. It meant we could just enjoy the day without worrying about logistics. Pamela kept us in the loop throughout, so everything ran to plan. When we had a few unexpected extra guests, I mentioned it and they just sorted it without any fuss, which we really appreciated.

We were also really glad they agreed to cater our wedding, as they are friends of ours, and that made it even more special having them there on the day.

We had canapés and a drinks reception followed by a buffet, and everything was done so well. On the day they were organised, professional, and had such a lovely personal touch. They also made sure we as the bride and groom actually got to eat, which meant a lot, and left the kitchen at the venue clean and tidy afterwards. We couldn’t have asked for a better catering team.

On holiday in North Norfolk recently and treated ourselves to a heavenly meal prepared by Kieron. Everything about the evening was fantastic. Spoilt for choice with menu options, had canapés, starters, main & desserts, all beautifully presented and delicious. Kieron was attentive, informative and professional, an all round lovely man.
Thank you Kieron, we’ll definitely book again when we next visit the area.

A huge thank you to Kieron, Pamela and the team for all there hard work on our wedding day! Having them there to support the smooth running of the day and all the communication before hand was unmatched.

The food was also incredible and we had family and friends say it was the best wedding food they'd ever had, with fresh flavours and unique pairings we absolutely loved it all!

The catering for our wedding was absolutely top notch all round in terms of taste, creativity and presentation. Plus the service was excellent and staff really friendly. Kieron and his wife really took our wedding up a notch considering the meal was the ‘main event’ of the day. Highly recommend them.

Kieron and his charming team produced an absolutely top-notch Easter Sunday roast lunch for our large family get-together. Kieron dealt brilliantly with all our requests and the feedback we had from our guests included “best roast pork I’ve ever eaten”. I would book him again in a heartbeat.

Every detail was carefully managed and I did not have to worry about anything. You and your staff are extremely professional and our guests were really well looked after. The thank you letters we received praise the food and quality of service they received. Brilliant.

I had the most wonderful weekend. The attention to detail was amazing. Great food, wonderful instruction and beautiful surroundings - what more could you ask for.

Had a meal for 2 delivered by Keiron, it was absolutely delicious. Thank you Keiron I will definitely be ordering again.

My son's experience with Pamela the nutritionist was exceptional. Pamela went above and beyond, and following her recommendations my son turned a long standing and worsening problem around really quickly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Pamela's services.

Great hosting from Pamela and Keiron, lovely atmosphere and setting. Delicious cuisine, and interesting insights into healthy eating and making nutritious, vegetarian meals a part of the daily diet. The yoga and Pilates classes were structured so that they were enjoyable and accessible for all levels.

Mayu catered for our weekend yoga retreat. The food was all veggie, gorgeous, tasty, beautifully presented and delicious! Would highly recommend Kieran and Pamela for your event. Yum!

Kieron was absolutely amazing. He catered a wonderful family dinner for us. Managing lots of different needs e.g. vegan and no vegan. The food was beautiful and he was great company. Prior to the dinner communication was excellent. We look forward to booking again.

What a fabulous evening! Kieron came to cater a family dinner at our Airbnb and we couldn’t have hoped for a better experience. The food (taste and presentation) was wonderful. Ahead of the evening, Kieron shared multiple different options for us to build a tailored made menu that catered for different dietry requirements (including vegans with no compromise on taste).

Not only is Kieron an incredible chef, his service is impeccable. If you’re looking for a sign to book Mayu Retreats to cater your next event consider this it!

I’ve been to see Pamela for nutritional
consultations a couple of times over the last four years and am very impressed with her professionalism, expertise, kindness and knowledge. The supplements that she prescribed have made a marked improvement in my quality of life, and she is always kind enough to respond to any questions that I may have, or follow through on recommendations that she’s made. I recommend her wholeheartedly.

Really informative. Great food. Beetroot smoothie superb start to the day. Good open discussion on menopause related issues. Lovely yoga and crystal bowl meditation session. A truly wonderful experience and superb hosts. The gift bag was a lovely touch. Beautiful setting just a shame the steamroom was a bit chilly.
