MaxClean, by Mega Deals, is a classic bait and switch marketing scam. They advertise a fully robotic vacuum cleaner with vision of it working on carpet, claim it has AI sensitivity to changing surfaces and room shape, their adverts claims it has a special pattern of cleaning. They claim two men, whose names change depending on the country they are scamming at the time - but who for Australia was Tyler Bell and Nick Miller were engineers who left a well known brand vacuum factory to make their own brand at a lower cost. It all seems real and legit. Then they send a shoddy 19cm wide 'toy' type sweeper that just goes around in circles, and can only be used on hard flooring, but even then it is not capable of cleaning the suction inlet and dirt reservoir are tiny. Sent from China - using false addresses on the packaging. Do not fall for this SCAM. if you have fallen for it already - see the group "Scammed by Megadeals" group on Facebook (FB allowed this scam advertising in the first place!) Stay Safe and not sorry. Caveat Emptor!)

Scam company, promises a vacuum cleaner, but what You get is a useless toy. False adresses, no refunds. Beware of this - and beware of Megadeals ltd. thats sells this product.

I wish I could give this company who are scam artists a “0” star. The video shown online shows the product going around the house mapping out the cleaning route however when we received our product it was nothing like we expected nor did it serve even 1/4 of the promise made by the company as to what level the product would provide. The product 1 of 3 we purchased just spun in a circle and didn’t pick up a single piece of dirt as it didn’t work. We tried to go through the company and dispute the product however we were told the full refund was not available. We have now lodged a complaint through pay pal and plan to go the mile in getting the full refund we deserve as this product is cheaply made to the point that the product right out of the box it didn’t even travel 1 ft in diameter. This is a fraudulent company with several Facebook outlets to sell their fake products. There is now a Facebook group with over 250 members claiming the exact same scenario has happened to them. This company should be flagged as fraud as their return address to return this junk product to isn’t even legitimate and advises you to return to two different countries. Pay pal and Facebook need to look into this company and stop doing business with them.

This is nothing more than a fraudulent scam. The sales video shows a docking station, intelligent path mapping, ability to do carpet, a large dust cup, a beater bar, a laser for cliff detection, radar for obstacle detection, an app for controlling the robot.

It has NONE of these things; in addition, the video cites two engineers who left "a major robot cleaner manufacturer," but, depending on which version you saw, their names are completely different. Many purchasers (see the "Scammed by Megadeals" group on Facebook) discovered their return address is fake! This unit was $79.95 on Facebook a month ago, but is nw available for $19.95 on eBay!

The unit runs in circles, will not move on carpet, can not make the transition from floors to carpet, and gets stuck whenever it hit something head on. Suitable for a Barbie doll house only.

If there was a negative 5 star i would choose that. The product advertized was awsome and the product received was a plastic toy.... Total SCAM
And as a disabled person unable to travel easily their refund policy is required to print a label I have no access to a printer. So I will be unable to return these items. Plus they stay clearly everything has to be returned meaning the packaging the packaging supplies if you threw away the bubble wrap or the plastic around the box it's not complete

I would have given it even less than one star but it’s not an option. Absolute rip off! They do not send what you have bought. They send something completely different. DO NOT BUY through Mega Deals.

They don't even deserve 1 star, received a piece of light plastic junk the weight if a frisbee, doesn't even turn on and the name isnt even as advertised. Waiting for a positive response from PayPal to get my money Back! BUYER BEWARE DONT ORDER ANYTHING FROM MEGADEALS...ITS A SCAM!!!

Don't fall for this one! This company has scammed a lot of people with their Maxclean/Super Cleaner/Clean Bot or whatever they're calling it now. It's a piece of garbage that looks like a cheap plastic toy. It does NOT run on carpet and barely picks up anything off of a wood or tile floor. Just in the last week, the number of people joining a special FB group devoted to this slimy company and their robot vacuum scam has grown by over 100 members! All of whom are trying to get their money back. Think about that before you hit that 'Buy' button!

I am among the growing community that was duped into a slick campaign thru facebook on theold bait and switch. Advertise something expensive and then send you a piece of junk. The ad states all these great features about the MaxClean, showing it on a docking station and uses elaborate radar detection from stairs, etc.. Can move on multiple floors. When you get your package, its a toy that isn't worth 10 bucks, the weight and size are half that of a leading competitor. I was out $179.99 with the buy two, get one free. Was giving these out to my aging parents, but now I am seriously filing legal action. Emails get no response, phone number doesnt pick up live person. Shame on them

I am one of many victims who had paid good money for a 'toy-liked' sweeper/cleaner. I ordered a total of 4 units (myself, family member & friends) after watching their advertisement in Facebook. Like many of the other victims, we were led to believe that we were all buying a good quality iRobot-like robot vacuum but instead we all ended up receiving a toy-liked sweeper that's most probably worth a fraction of what we all paid. A Facebook group called 'Scammed by Megadeals' has now more than 250 members. Please do not be a victim and refrain from buying from this scammer.

This is a total scam. All of the correspondence I received while waiting for the product stated it was “Maxclean” Although come to find out it is through a company called megadeals that’s a total scammer! I received my piece of junk that was shipped from Singapore and it is a cheap piece of plastic half the size of a regular robotic vacuum called the Super Cleaner”. I wouldn’t pay five dollars for this piece of junk! When I opened a claim on PayPal I was told they would refund if I shipped it back and provide shipping tracking info but the address provided was fake. I spent $89.98 and want my refund!

As others have said, this is a bait and switch scam. We have a Facebook group now for the victims called 'Scammed by Megadeals' that has over 500 members in two weeks.

Bunch of scammers! They'll send you products that don't come close to the advertised videos. And then refuse to refund your money, when you catch them in the scam. Buyer beware!

The ad shows a nice robot vacuum but they ship and you end up with a cheap piece of crap that doesnt work and is nothing close to what is advertised. Do not buy the max clean from Mega Deals you WILL be ripped off. Then you have to fight to get your money back. Because they refuse your request for return. Because you opened the package. (Its in their return policy) No returns on cleaning products that have been opened.

Adquirí el aspirador viendo la publicidad en Facebook, parecía un artículo interesante según contaban. ¡Que vergüenza!, ¡una estafa en toda regla!
Como señalan también en otra opinión, no cumple las espectativas y es un producto de juguete. Muy pequeño y con muy pocas prestaciones. Encima ha llegado defectuoso, el botón del interruptor no actúa, no para de hacer ruido, pero no se mueve.
No se si recuperaré mi dinero, 90 euros, De momento he puesto una reclamación y después lo haré a través de Paypal, que es por donde pague.

Una estafa en toda regla. Una publicidad engañosa el aparato es muy pequeño y no vale para nada y si lo quieres devolver te vale más el envío que lo que vale el aparato está todo pensado para que te lo comas con patatas

Nefasto, horroroso... No funcionan son de juegue, es una estafa... Alguien sabe como se pueden devolver y que te reembolsen el dinero??

Horroroso, me siento estafada....es de juguete, funciona a pilas y no sabe ni por dónde va cuando lo enciendes. Nada que ver con el video de demostración, NO COMPREN ESE PRODUCTO.

Had I been able to give zero stars or even negative stars I would have done so.

I ordered a MaxClean Robot, (£64.99) which, amongst other things promised:-
1. revolutionary flooring mapping technology not yet available on similar Robots,
2. the ability to detect the top of stairs and stop itself from falling down them,
3. it came with a docking station for recharging,
4. A docking station that MaxClean would make its way back to when charge was running low,
5. the ability to transition seamlessly between different floor surfaces.
It appeared sturdy, with a good sized ‘dust bucket’. It was black in colour.
What I received was a SuperClean flimsy plastic white thing which has none of the above listed attributes.
Prior to the arrival of my item I had engaged an email conversation with their customer services department re the delivery date. Throughout this entire conversation, in total with three of their staff, both ‘sides’ refers to the deliver of my MaxClean Robot. When, what I can only describe as, ‘tat’ turned up, I emailed them expressing my concerns and requesting a return label and a full refund.
At this stage they began questioning the name of the website I’d ordered from and stated that I’d actually ordered a SuperClean (I can assure you there is nothing ‘super’ about it!) yet I can evidence that three staff members are happy I’d ordered a MaxClean.
They offered to refund me 10% of the cost of the original item.
The reality is I probably won’t get my money back from this Chinese based supplier and I doubt trading standards will leap in to assist, please spread the word that MaxClean are simply con artist who rip people off.

Ho acquistato un robot, e subito dopo leggendo le critiche ho voluto annullare il mio ordine. L'acquisto è stato effettuato con paypal. Ho contattato con la chat (e anche inviato una mail) della pagina un operatore che mi ha subito eseguito il rimborso. Come impresa mi sembra almeno seria, in quanto non ho avuto problemi per il rimborso immediato e la risposta della chat è stata celere.
