I cancelled my policy and my Direct Debit about 3 weeks ago and yet you still renewed it and now want to charge me £54 to cancel the policy because I am cancelling part way through..... its 2 days since it started!!!!!!!!!

Masterquote should be struck off the list UK car insurance companies.
I have never come across a more unprofessional and crooked insurer in my years of driving.
Some months ago, I moved from an expensive region of the country to insure a vehicle to a very much lower risk area. After contacting Masterquote to notify them of my change of address, I was incredibly shocked to find that they were adjusting my monthly premium upwards by a significant amount. I pointed out that checking with other insurance companies and obtaining quotes, I had a very good idea of what I should be paying, give or take a few pounds. No movement on their premium...
So, I decided to cancel my policy and move to another insurer. Here I came unstuck, which having now read online reviews, I see I am not alone in doing..
I was slapped with a massive notice for cancelling and threats of court action. What with the lower premium of my new insurance company added to these extortionate fines, I'd have been better off swallowing the unjustified price rise offered by Masterquote.
In the end, after numerous threats, I paid up. Numerous emails, trying to get access to my former policy through their website and pointless hours on hold on the phone to this hopeless company in order to obtain a copy of my NCB have so far yielded nothing.
So I'm massively out of pocket. I've been robbed and deceived by them and now due to their incompetence, am paying full whack because I cannot provide my NCB.
A free word of advice to anyone reading this review - Steer clear of Masterquote. Cheap does not always mean cheerful!

I've used Masterquote for years and trust them

I find Masterquote difficult to deal with. Difficult to contact and their staff don't appear to be as knowledgeable as perhaps they could be regarding their products. Once you do finally get through to someone they keep you on the phone for infinitely longer than is necessary. But you cannot always find what you need online. It's a fine line but would not ordinarily use these again.

Easy, faultless, just as it says on the tin.

Reasonable price and really easy to use.

Straight forward, happy with cote.

They take your money then never follow up on anything.

I have tried on numerous occasions to contact you in order to not renew my policy. after being on the phone line for 10 minutes or more on 4 separate occasions i have cancelled my direct debit and moved my business elsewhere,

I am very satisfied with the way my treatment from master quote and would recommend them to a people looking for a insurance policy.
