Marston's Arvostelua

Bell and Bottle. Newton with Scales. Despite a shortage of staff (which is all too common nowadays) the team 23/9/23 were really top class and dealt with our group in a timely and friendly manner so I am compelled to write this!

Enjoyed the brewery tour- very insightful :)

Tunny Catch nr Scarborough. Great service from Tristan in busy weekend. Thanks Tristan, you were very accommodating of our large group.

The Plough and barleycorn Waterlooville an amazing place, very attentive friendly staff, cocktails lovely. Food brilliant, big portions made a day with friends into a great rememberable time. Thank you will be back soon!!!!!

Visited new finney gardens for years now and it’s been very up and down, recently taken over and whilst it appears better, being redecorated which is well overdue, then the landlord comes out and smokes his electric gag whilst effing to customers he knows, time to find another pub

Marston sold the Crooked House Pub to buyers that they were in dispute with over road access. They sold it for alternative use. The demise of the building was predictable. On Marston's website you can see all the pubs they own. I will be checking carefully which ones are near me and will avoid all of them.

I agree with everything that has been said about Marston's conduct regarding The Crooked House. Altough they were not directly responsible for the distruction of the pub, they sold it without any thought as to what would happen to it.
As a contributor of photos and updates for hospitality listings websites, I will not be extending any of these services, to any of Marston's pubs. Nor will I ever visit any of their establishments again. What they have done is a terrible thing, and will not be forgotten.

We recently visited The Lost Coins in Haverfordwest and again received a lovely welcome . The comfortable, spacious interior is like no other locally . We were able to choose from a varied menu and were seated at our table of choice , despite walking in without a booking. Particular thanks again to Beth who always manages to make us feel special ( however, we see her kindness with all other customers also}. Our little one was able to play in the climbing area . It was again a thoroughly enjoyable visit. Well done and thank you .

Gamston Lock stayed one night. The accomodation was clean and smart. Room very quiet even though they were busy. Staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent. The bacon and black pudding were griddle fried not the usual bulk boiled type which resulted in real flavour.

After what you’ve done we will never be drinking your beers or drink in your pubs again .

Will never go to a Marstons again after what happened to The Crooked House. You should never have sold it, this was a place of history and deserves to be cherished and built back up. Hope you are happy with yourselves, disgusting

If 0 stars was allowed it would get one, don't have a choice so have to put 1. What these fat cats have done is an abomination. You have allowed the destruction of an iconic site that was known around the world. You should be ashamed of yourselves for being part of the destruction of the crooked house

Complicit in the destruction of the Crooked House pub.

I hope what has happened at the crooked house hits Marstons in the only place they care about - the pocket. Not a care was given for preserving the Crooked House and its heritage. Shame on all involved.

Will never step foot in a Marston’s pub again. After what you have done to the crooked house, you should be absolutely ashamed of yourselves. Dudley has lost a piece of history because of your greed. I hope you all get what’s coming to you

I’ve eaten twice at The Bridge pub in Brewood, during my canal holiday.
The landlady is great fun, friendly and a joy to chat too.
Her food (on both occasions) was excellent (fast to serve, accurate and well priced).
Her local patrons are warm and friendly and support the pub and staff.
My two teenage girls and I found the pub so welcoming and ready to offer excellent food that we chose to eat here twice!

What a great ‘Boozer’
Long May she rein

Thank you lovely landlady and charming bar girl.

Had a lovely sunday roast at the Warton Arms, Hull. Kirsty and Ellie locked after us and were very polite and friendly. The live music added a great ambience. Will definitely be back!

We visited the Flying Childers at Ab Kettleby. Melton Mowbray. Leicestershire.
Tea Time. We stayed in the Bar area for drinks first then, moved into the Resteraunt.
Good standard of food for a group pub. Nicely presented and a plentiful helping.
Pleasant and helpful staff who are well trained. Compliments to the Chef, to Hannah the manager, and her assistant.

Debs, in the Spring River, in Ebbsfleet is fantastic. We are regulars and served by her most of the time, always service with a smile and just lovely to be around ... 10 out of 10!!!!! Xx
