Tuotteen Lettuce 'Winter Gem' arvostelut

Fresh Lettuce Long After Summer Harvest fresh lettuce through the colder months Neat hearts packed with crunchy leaves Well suited to protected winter growing Good disease resistance A great choice for smaller spaces One of the pleasures of growing your own is picking fresh lettuce when most summer crops have finished. 'Winter Gem' is specially suited to autumn planting, producing compact hearts packed with crisp, crunchy leaves for welcome harvests through the colder months. Its naturally neat habit makes good use of space in raised beds and containers, while excellent cold tolerance and good disease resistance make it a reliable choice for winter growing in an unheated greenhouse or cold frame. It's a straightforward variety to grow and a great choice if you want to keep picking beyond the usual summer lettuce season. Freshly harvested leaves have excellent flavour and a satisfying crunch, giving you something fresh and homegrown for sandwiches, wraps and salads right through the quieter months of the vegetable garden.
