Terrible app, never gives correct information, traffic information is always late. I will not be using this again, Waze is far superior to this old and out of date crap

Doesn’t always provide the fastest or most obvious route and sometimes takes nonsensical, pointless detours. I think Google may be using an algorithm to spread the load on the most heavily used roads, even when there isn’t a traffic problem. I sometimes compare routes with my husband and there can be a 15 minute difference in an hour journey between our 2 phones, because one app has selected a longer route, for no apparent reason.
Reviews of businesses seem to be overly positive and I don’t trust them. I just use GM to locate a business - which is useful - and I use other apps for reviews.
I’d like to be able to share ETA which Apple Maps allows and Google Maps doesn’t yet.

Non funziona più niente , continuano a bloccare permessi che prima c'erano, non si possono più registrare le telefonate e con l'ultimo aggiornamento hanno tolto i permessi per Echo auto .
Che modo di mexda di operare .

Google maps used to be good at directions. Now it gives completely the wrong advice while driving. So many times it's getting me to leave a motorway and then get straight back on, or in another case displaying a route that was twice as long as another perfectly valid route. It's becoming unusable.

Google è un motore di ricerca. Dove ormai risponde la demenza artificiale. Spesso da informazioni sbagliate. Non aggiorna. Ad esempio, leggi, guide ecc. Tutto rimasto a venti anni fa. Se si cerca qualcosa compaiono sempre gli stessi siti. Questo perché un tempo rimandava anche ad altri motori di ricerca, che adesso non esistono esistono più. È quindi si trova molto meno. E spesso sbagliato. Rimanda però a YouTube, dove li ci sono i soliti youtubers per fare soldi. Molto peggiorato

Sono il presidente di Diving Line ASD e dal 2013 ho fatto corsi sub in via del Fontanile Arenato 66 presso la piscina del Circolo Vita in zona Aurelia.
La nostra associazione aveva due sedi operative, una in viale della Ferratella 44 e una in via del Fontanile Arenato 66.
Ho quindi pensato di aprire due pagine su Google My Business che indicasse la presenza delle due sedi sulle mappe di Google Maps.
Nel febbraio 2025 abbiamo chiuso la sede sull'Aurelia per spostarci in viale dell'Umanesimo 38 presso la piscina dell'EUROMAR.
Nonostante abbia fornito tutte le indicazioni, continua ad essere visualizzata su Google Maps la sede sull'Aurelia.
Nella giornata del 13 novembre 2025 ricevo due recensioni false su Google Maps; il 14 novembre mi chiama un numero del Bangladesh +800 1786-735962 con cui mi chiedono soldi per togliere le due recensioni e metterle a 5 stelle. Ho segnalato il numero a META, è inutile fare una denuncia contro di loro, ma la cosa più grave è non ho potuto fare nulla per segnalare la cosa a Google che ha ignorato le centinaia di richieste di rimuovere le due recensioni dai miei allievi, palesemente false, mi è stato anche impossibile agire sulle recensioni dalla mia scheda perché si rifiuta di verificarla e mi ha bloccato qualsiasi tentativo di modifica, inclusa la risposta alle recensioni o la segnalazione (assurdo). In poche parole, Google è ora il gestore della mia associazione Diving Line ASD sul web.
Per questo ho dovuto contattare un avvocato, fare una diffida a Google tramite raccomandata internazionale sperando che prenda in considerazione la vicenda e nel caso negativo, dovrò rivolgermi alla polizia postale per una denuncia contro Google. Quanto riportato su questa recensione è tutto documentabile.
Attenti a inviare dati a Google: finché le cose vanno bene è il vostro miglior alleato, qualora poi si inceppi, qualcosa potrebbe diventare il vostro peggior nemico.
Aggiornamento del 18 novembre: Google ha eljminato le recensioni false, rimane comunque il fatto di non poter rispondere alle recensioni e di non poter modificare i nostri dati sulla nostra pagina.

Avete eliminato tutte le mie recensione dopo anni e nessuno motivo. Tutte le recensione che scrivo sono la verità,forse vi da fastidio la verità e preferite un mondo di recensioni false e comprate. Ben venga quando chiuderanno i ristoranti perche servono cibo scaduto o marcio solo perche google non vuole pubblicare brutte recensioni.

De verdad que me parece super vergonzosa la manera que tienen de ocultar las reseñas negativas. Si publicas reseñas positivas todo ira bien pero si empiezas a publicar reseñas negativas JUSTIFICADAS, no te las publicaran por mas que tu hagas. Me parece una falta de respeto muy grande para los que se dedican a reseñar lugares. Se han cargado google maps y se han cargado la transparencia que tenian porque ya no tienen ninguna. Borrare por supuesto todas mis reseñas y colaboraciones con maps ya que no merece la pena perder mas en tiempo con una gestión 0% humana y 100% con inteligencia artificial la cual impedira la libertad de expresión y la publicación negativa en este caso lo cual me parece un error muy grande por parte de google. Tambien cerrare sesion de todos sus servicios y empezare a usar otros porque desde luego google se lo ha ganado con creces. Seguid asi que os va a ir muy bien señores de google. Indignante y de vergüenza. Sospecho de que las reseñas son compradas y las empresas pagan para que no se publiquen las negativas. Increible en lo que se ha convertido esta plataforma

I wrote a 5 star review a couple of years ago but it has recently been removed by Google citing ’fake engagement’. This is utter nonsense as the review is honest and truthful. They also removed 7 photographs without giving any reason. These are just ordinary photographs of a historical monument nothing offensive or controversial. It makes me think what is the point of posting content if google is going to remove it for no reason. I won’t be uploading any more pictures and reviews.

Negative reviews, sometimes for businesses that engage in illegal conduct, are removed regularly.
And no, I'm not revealing personal information or curse. There is no other reason to remove my reviews than to protect shady or bad businesses.

Es geht alles schief es navigiert so bescheuert

Ho tentato tre volte in tre anni di segnalate che una strada riportava un nome errato da molti anni fornendo anche le prove o un modo per verificare quello che stavo dicendo, ma ad oggi dopo anni la strada continua ad avere un nome sbagliato e non c'è modo di fargli cambiare il nome della strada.
Ho pure detto che bastava contattare l'ufficio catasto del comune per verificare quanto detto. Ma nessuna risposta la strada continua ad avere un nome sbagliato chissà forse fra 200 anni la cambieranno.

Positiv:
„Google“ ist in der Tat die größte Internet-Suchmaschine und finanziert sich durch Anzeigen.
Manche Bewertungen, z. B. in der Gastronomie, sind hilfreich, wobei man genau hinsehen muss, ob die Bewertung wirklich aufgrund eigener Erfahrung erstellt wurde.

Negativ:
1. Aufgrund der Werbefinanzierung ergibt sich, dass bei jeder Suche vorrangig „gesponserte Inhalte“ zu sehen sind
2. Besonders undurchsichtig sind bei „Google“ die Bewertungs-Richtlinien – die Anwendung erinnert an die Unergründlichkeit der Romane von Franz Kafka, beispielsweise wurden zwei Fotos von mir (Alpenblumen!) mit der Begründung:
„Dein Inhalt konnte aufgrund von Einschränkungen für das Posten, denen dieser Ort unterliegt, nicht veröffentlicht werden.“
Dsgl. wird eine 5-Sterne-Bewertung über einen Reparatur-Betrieb für Digitalkameras nicht hochgeladen (vielleicht, weil der Geschäftsinhaber nicht bei „Google“ Werbeanzeigen schaltet?).
Mein Fazit : Die willkürliche Nichtveröffentlichung von selbst positiven Inhalten hat nichts mehr mit Netiquette etc. zu tun, sondern ist vermutlich eine reine Machtdemonstration dieses amerikanischen Konzerns.
3. Umgekehrt hat „Google“ keine Hemmungen, z. B. bezahlte Fake-Werbung für Nahrungsergänzungsmittel, dubiose Geldanlagen mit Prominenten wie Eckart von Hirschhausen, Markus Lanz, Sandra Maischberger u. v. m. hochzuladen. Das gleiche gilt für betrügerische Abo-Fallen.
Ich hoffe. dass die EU standhaft bleibt und diese „Datenkrake“ zu Transparenz und der Einhaltung europäischer Verbraucherschutzrichtlinien verpflichtet!

Google löscht sämtliche negative Rezensionen. Auf Maps ist kein Verlass mehr. Die treten die Meinungsfreiheit in Deutschland mit Füßen. Die Rezensionen sind nichts mehr Wert bei Google Maps. Die nutzen ihre Monopolstellung aus! Auch ist Maps selbst mittlerweile viel anfälliger für Fehler geworden. KI kann den Menschen nicht ersetzen.

I left a negative but honest review of a local organisation which was removed as 'Fake Engagement' to 'skew people's opinions negatively against it.'

I did no such thing. I just told the truth. Overwhelmingly, my reviews are positive - 3 stars and over. Mostly 4 and 5 stars.

I then found myself placed on the naughty step whereby all future reviews had to go through a Pending process, so I have stopped adding reviews to Google Maps.

Always takes you down prohibited routes and i have to end up paying many fines

I put a review on an eSIM company which it was lied to customer. Got it removed by google wondered how reliable it is nowadays with google review.
