First of all, I would like to say that with the help of this website, a CV can be completed in just a few minutes. Both the English and German versions of the CV were written correctly.
I encountered the same issue as many other customers regarding the automatic monthly subscription, but I sent an email to the support team and received a response in less than an hour. The full amount was refunded to me within 24 hours.
I recommend this website. Perhaps the team behind it will improve the quality of their services by removing this automatic subscription.

Same as many others. Paid for a one-off cv update for £2 and then a fortnight later find an unexpected charge of £24 on my card bill. Very sharp practice. And not straightforward to contact the company to cancel the subscription. All very opaque. AVOID!

Cancelling the Abo wasn't possible, i wrote several emails without an answer. Than i escalated with PayPal and got the promise I'd be refunded. Of course this never happened so i paid 25 euros for a very crappy cv.

This is a scam, do not buy!

I never created a CV, never signed up, and never agreed to any subscription.

This company took money from my card without clear consent. There was no warning, no confirmation, and no transparent pricing. This is a classic subscription trap.

I have blocked my card, reported this transaction as fraud to my bank, and requested a chargeback.

DO NOT enter your card details on this website. Check your bank statements carefully. This company cannot be trusted.

Scam! I was charged twice for a service I have never signed for. For the trial service I've paid 1,90 EUR and that was exactly what I needed, not a sh*t more. And now they've charged me 27,90 EUR ... Scammers! DO NOT EVEN TRY DOING SOEMTHING WITH THEM!

A real scam in disguised. It starts with free CV, then only 3 euro, then they charge you 30 euro...Don't go here

Scammers! Do not trust this resource under any circumstances. Instead of €7 for an annual subscription, they tried to charge me €94. Fortunately, there wasn’t enough money on my card, so they failed to take it.

I cancelled my MakeMyCV subscription, yet my credit card has continued to be charged multiple times after cancellation.

In December, the company already refunded one unauthorised charge, which confirms the issue was on their side. Unfortunately, the problem continued and further charges were made.

I contacted customer support again, but received no concrete response and no confirmation that my subscription was fully terminated.

Charging customers after cancellation and ignoring support requests is unacceptable. I am now forced to involve my bank and consumer protection authorities.

I do not recommend this service.

The CV suggestions are weak and overly generic. ChatGPT does a much better job.

The system doesn’t provide specific, actionable feedback or help improve the actual content of the CV; it only offers general information.

I also strongly dislike the predatory approach of initially giving the CV a very low score before subscription, only to reveal a much higher “real” score after subscribing.

I was told I’d be paying €2-something once for 2 weeks access but they automatically renewed my subscription making me pay €27!!! I want my money back.

Scam! It seems that you make a one time payment of ca 3 euro and after trial period they charge you ca 30 for the month subscription. They also do it silently. You do not see it unless you see it in your banking statement.
