Lura Care fue a la residencia donde vive mi madre para hacerle una intervención dental. Tenían que retirarle una pieza y no solo lo hicieron con muy poco cuidado (teniendo en cuenta que mi madre es una persona dependiente y discapacitada), si no que debido al intenso dolor que estaba experimentando, tuvieron que posponer la retirada de la pieza, no sin dejarle la pieza a medio retirar. Osea le dejaron la muela rota. Tiempo después, terminaron de retirarle lo que quedaba y, pasada unas semanas, viendo que mi madre seguía quejándose del dolor, tuvo que ser una enfermera de la propia residencia la que le viera la boca porque resulta que se habían dejado un trozo de muela por quitar introducida en el hueco. El dolor que experimentó mi madre durante ese tiempo que tuvo ese trozo fue muy duro, impidiéndole comer bien durante semanas, lo que afectó a su salud mental. Cuando la enfermera le retiró el trozo ella sintió alivio, pero me pareció de una chapuza monumental por parte de Lura Care, que encima cobró dinero por este trabajo tan mal hecho. Y la gota que ha colmado el vaso es que nos han cancelado la cita que tenía mi madre con ellos después de todo este circo. No recomiendo para nada sus servicios.

We used Luracare for my dads dental extraction, they came out quickly and were very proffesional.
would reccomend to anyone needing dentall care in a care home.

where do i start at first this company was one of the best companies i have worked with and especially with my mum they have built a true connection. i want to point out there is two wonderful girls that have came to the care home and assisted my mum while her dementia. i have never seen my mum get along and honestly a wonder full team including admin . however ever since the new management became in charge i have feel that he had been running the company down and poor management have been honestly been giving me a headache for 6 months. i don’t recommend this company at all and honestly STAY WAY from them. i couldn’t contact them at all to ask question and lack of communication is really poor. i was very hesitant to talk about this but after other people in the care home came forward i felt that this matter had to be addressed

Cuando llamaron para confirmar un Servicio, indicando que no se realizaría si antes no se había realizado el pago, se les informó que no estábamos interesados, la persona que lo había solicitado acababa de fallecer. Después de admitir la cancelación en la mencionada conversación, procedieron a realizar el servicio.

Kameira and Zahra both attended our care home to provide service for our residents. Both ladies were absolutely brilliant, very professional and friendly . The residents were very happy . Exceptional service. We will definitely be requesting their services again in future.

I contacted Luracare on behalf of my brother who is receiving end of life care.

Dr Shalvi Chabra Emma and Megan today whilst treating my brother were kind, sympathetic to his health needs and completed the dental work to a high standard.
The service they provide is very professional but also caring and compassionate.

Despite taking payment in advance, Lura Care have failed to provide the required treatment (a root filling and oral hygiene cleaning) to a friend in a residential home whose affairs we manage. We paid in early September as a date was booked for early October but then cancelled. We heard nothing until I chased it at the start of November and was told they were ‘extremely busy’ and the treatment would be scheduled. Since then I’ve heard nothing.
In addition to this very poor service, when they first inspected my friend’s teeth they recommended a removable partial denture at a cost of £940. It should have been obvious to them that the gaps they were planning to fill have been there for years and my friend therefore chose not to do anything about them when he was able. Now he’s had two strokes, can’t speak and has to take soft food and liquids only. I was shocked that Lura Care could make such a proposal in the circumstances! In addition, the cleaning charge is £168 which seems excessive, almost double what I pay at my dentist.
It seems to me that they are profiteering off a situation where residential and care homes struggle to get dental care for their residents. Quite appalling.

They are very expensive indeed, dentures which cost £328 on the NHS as a band 3 charge. Lura Cares price "estimate" £3,100 and I don't know if any extras are included. They do say for certain things travel to a centre is required, incurring extra charges. My mums denture was missing a tooth and they didn't quote for a simple repair, so I asked and it was £461.

In the end I took matters into my own hands, went to the care home after breakfast, mums teeth to a dental lab in the local area for a while you wait repair for £60 (they also cleaned them up and rebuffed them) and had them back in mums mouth before her lunch (under 2 hours).
