Very disappointing workmanship and refusal to refund
I commissioned a custom silver ring for €250, providing a clear reference design. Before accepting the order, the seller assured me she could reproduce it as closely as possible.
The finished ring was extremely disappointing and bore little resemblance to what I had requested. In my opinion, the seller simply did not have the technical skills to execute the design and should have been honest about her limitations before taking my money.
I gave her an opportunity to correct the ring, but the result was no better. Rather than acknowledging that she couldn’t deliver what was agreed, she refused to provide a refund.
The ring remains in her possession, and I am now having to pursue legal action to recover my €250.
What should have been a special, meaningful gift has turned into an incredibly frustrating experience. I’m deeply disappointed, not just with the quality of the workmanship, but with how the entire situation has been handled.

Dear Pace,
Thank you for sharing your experience, though I must respectfully dispute several of the claims made.
Prior to production, I clearly communicated in writing that a handmade piece cannot be an exact replica of a digital reference. You confirmed this and signed my terms and conditions, which state that custom orders are non-refundable.
I also applied a €25 discount on the original quote, made additional adjustments at no extra charge following your feedback, and you did not arrange to view the updated ring in person before pursuing a refund.
The suggestion that I lack the technical skills to execute this design is incorrect and unfair. The finished ring closely reflects your reference within the natural limitations of handmade silver clay work.
I would like to share a photo of both the reference and the finished ring, but Trustpilot does not allow images in reviews. I will be sharing these on our social media shortly.
My offer remains: complimentary shipping or a partial refund for the cost of materials (as stated in my email). This remains my final offer.
Kind regards,
Mariene Meyer Swantee
