Brilliant service as always from Allan at Whetstone. We’re always behind on when we should have ordered stuff and he still sorts us for rapid deliveries every time. Life-saver.

We appreciate your feedback and will review what happened to ensure we communicate more clearly and provide a better service in future.
Great service.
I have had an account with Lawsons (Colney Heath) for a few years now and purchase many items from them. It’s always a very straightforward process either onsite or on the telephone. The guys and girls in the yard and office keep things very simple and nothing is too much trouble for them.

Poor timber quality
Poor timber quality. These decking boards are low-grade, heavily knotted, and feature severe bark inclusions and grain defects right on the top face. They trap water, splinter easily, and are prone to losing knots over time—definitely not worth the money if you want a clean, long-lasting finish.

We’re sorry to hear about the quality of the decking boards you received. This is not the standard we expect our products to meet.
Please provide your order details so we can investigate this with the supplying branch. If the boards are found to be as described, we will arrange suitable replacements.

Vastaus yritykseltä Lawsons (Whetstone) Ltd
We’re very sorry that you received the wrong slabs and that our proposed workaround was not suitable. We also apologise for the inconvenience caused while the goods remained on your driveway.
Re-routing delivery vehicles can take time, which is why the collection took three days to arrange. Refunds can only be processed once returned goods have been collected and received back into stock.
The delivering branch’s telephone number is shown on the invoice. Contact details for all our branches are also available on our website. Nevertheless, we appreciate how frustrating this experience was and regret that we did not meet the standard of service you expected.
