Lanterna Education Arvostelua

I can't rate Lanterna Education high enough! My daughter has excelled in her understanding of tricky subjects in her IB course such as Global Politics, Psychology and Maths. The tutors sourced are varied and experts in their field. Regular feedback is given so you know exactly where your child is in the subject. Also your child gives feedback after each tuition session so you know immediately if you have a problem. I personally find this approach more helpful than parents evening where the timeslots allocated for meeting teachers are chaotic at best and you are left with half a clue of their current attainment. I need to personally thank Viktoria for her efficiency whenever we have a question. There are no cons from what I have experienced so far. It is pricey but you get what you pay for and teens need to be aware of time zones when booking sessions! I am so grateful to the school for promoting this service. Thank you Lanterna x

The initial phase with getting information from our coordinator (Axel) and setting up the account went very well and he really helped in a timely manner and answered all questions we had. Setting up appointments for interviews with the chosen tutors via the office did not go so smooth but in the end we got all interviews done and could proceed with the tutoring sessions.

My experience with Lanterna education was excellent! I had a very helpful teacher who always explained the most important aspects of everything that I had to learn. Moreover, the learning atmosphere created was very fun, which always helps one to be motivated to learn.

Expensive - yes! But very good Organised, too, we had a very good talk with the coordinator Francis about the not so good results of our daughter in science (she had influenza) and her need for some more points. Lovely: He made her feel better about all and really encouraged her to take the chance! We booked around 120 hours in all.

Francos helped us to find the right teachers. We met with several (virtuell) because we wanted native speakers or tutors with not too strong accents as our daughter speaks German as her first language.

Her tutors were very flexible with the hours and always on time, she resit her exams in Math and Chemestry and feels confident that her grades improved, but will get the results on January. Francis also helped us find a school in London who accepted her for the exams in autumn, too, wrote to is several times with instructions like location, time, dress code and even reminded us on the time shift. Very nice indeed! It was great to have a personal contact person and made the last two months really much easier…

Great approach and support straight from the start. Not cheap but a great help in understanding and guiding our Son through the topic chosen.
Tutor is good match, well matched by the advisor

My daughter is very happy with her tutors who are helping her a lot and are very kind.
Dilwa is fantastic: very kind and cooperative.
Thank you!!!!

We used Lanterna Education for IB tutoring for our child, who graduated in 2024, and the experience was exceptional. From start to finish, the support provided was top-notch. Axel, who helped us when purchasing the tutoring hours, was professional, attentive, and made the process very easy to navigate. The tutors themselves were knowledgeable and tailored their approach to our child's needs, helping to build confidence and improve performance across various subjects. Our child's success in the IB program is in no small part thanks to the dedicated help from Lanterna. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for personalized, effective IB tutoring!

We’ve been using Lanterna for my son, who is currently in the IB program, and I couldn’t be more pleased. The tutors they’ve set him up with are all highly professional, qualified, and truly understand the curriculum. My son is happy with the sessions and feels well-supported in his learning.

Additionally, the person we’ve been dealing with, Dilva, has been extremely professional, helpful, and always on top of things. She ensures everything runs smoothly and has made the whole process seamless. I highly recommend Lanterna to any parent looking for high-quality IB tutoring.

I've worked with EliteIB and Lanterna for many years, pre and post COVID, as far as online tutors go, this I would say from a tutors' perspective is up there with the best. Before EliteIB merged with Lanterna I found the personal service I received excellent, there were a few teething issues with the merger but I now feel that the best and the not so good have made this an even better organisation. I enjoy working with them and have always found them to be fair especially in terms of providing a good fit for both student and tutor.

We have been extremely impressed with the service provided by Lanterna. They responded quickly when we requested a tutor, and the match was perfect. The tutoring has been fantastic, with the tutor always available to support our child, who was struggling with mathematics. Thanks to the tutor's dedication and expertise, our child gained a great deal of confidence and achieved excellent exam results. We are truly grateful for the help and couldn't be more pleased with the experience! We will continue to sing your praises and thank you for your amazing support.

We have been extremely impressed with the service provided by Lanterna. They were quick to respond when we requested a tutor, and we were matched with Omar, an HL Mathematics tutor.
Omar has been fantastic, always available to help our son, who was struggling significantly with mathematics.
Thanks to Omar's dedication and expertise, our son managed to score a 7 on one of the papers of his exam in just two months!
Thank you so much!

The customer support is just amazing, they reply immediately and advise you clearly. We booked the Mid IB revision so I’ll feedback about the actual tuition when done but I guess it’ll be top quality seeing the overall management.

My daughter’s experience with Lanterna Education for Physics HL has been very good. The expert tutor provided personalized and engaging lessons that boosted her understanding and confidence in the subject. She now approaches Physics HL with much more enthusiasm and assurance. I recommend this service to any student seeking to excel in their IB courses.

My experience as a tutor with Lanterna has been excellent. They are an incredibly well put together team with good professionalism. I would like to specially commend Lawrence Lilley who was my coordinator, overseeing my progress as a tutor with the company. His approachable demeanor fosters open communication, making him a trusted ally in navigating any challenges. Every email would be replied to promptly and adequately, addressing any issues I might’ve had. I highly recommend Lawrence Lilley for his exceptional professionalism and unwavering commitment to overseeing my journey as a tutor with Lanterna!

They make it easy to connect with the tutors and also communication with the tutors outside of classes works great.

Lanterna Education truly exceeded our expectations in every way possible. From the outset, their team displayed remarkable organization and dedication to helping my sister grasp the complexities of Chemistry. Their tutors were not only knowledgeable but also incredibly patient and adept at tailoring their teaching methods to her learning style.

The transformation we witnessed in my sister's academic performance was nothing short of astounding. Within just a few weeks of enrolling in their program, her grades began to soar, and she developed a newfound confidence in her abilities. It was evident that Lanterna's personalized approach to education was making a significant impact.

What truly sets Lanterna apart is their unwavering commitment to their students' success. They went above and beyond to ensure that my sister had all the resources she needed to excel, providing additional support outside of scheduled sessions and offering valuable study tips and strategies.

Thanks to Lanterna, my sister not only mastered Chemistry but also gained admission to *every* university she applied to, a testament to the quality of tutoring she received. I cannot recommend Lanterna highly enough to anyone seeking academic support and guidance!

The classes are open and very much adapted to my individual needs. Finally, I am not afraid to ask a question, as I know that my tutor will explain the material to me in the best possible way.
After only 2 classes I have managed to improve my physics grade from a 6 to a 7, but more importantly, I have managed to understand the material, which I think is the most important point. I cannot recommend Lanterna highly enough.

A perfect tutor for my son and an ideal outcome. He felt supported and stayed calm and even enjoyed it in the end! Harmony and mental well-being in balance.

Lanterna is well suited to my need. They strive to put me in the best conditions possible at any time. If i don't feel comfortable with the tutors they have connected me with they would connect me with another one which is more suited to my way of learning. The current tutors i have are understanding and I feel comfortable asking questions or for resources that would help me outside of the classes.
