Scam reward programme and worse customer service ever!

Saw good black friday deal so thought of buying few products from Lancome. Check their reward programme which promise "1 free full size product" every 2th order. Sound good? Only if it's true. In the reality, it's totally a scam!

Placed 4 orders already and received nothing. Called customer service and line was cut off. Sent email to customer service and I faced with the worst service ever. The responder always take 5 days to send a reply and each reply contains like 2 sentences - useless sentence at that. It seems the man does not care to read the message or solve the problem. Conversations went like this
+ "you can read about our reward programme at..." (for what, I am telling you it does not work. If I did not read it, I don't know about its existenece to complain)
+ Can you send a screenshot of the error message? (as if there is a error message)
+ Can you send the welcome code of the reward programme that you received (sent them the code)
+ Can you send a screenshot of the email with the code???

I gave up at this point. Should check Trustpilot before buying. 1.5 stars for US site and 2 stars for UK site, no wonder how bad they are.

DON'T BUY FROM THEM!

Think twice before ordering on Lancome.co.uk

I placed an order 3 weeks ago, received an email saying it was delivered but it wasn't. Then contacted the Customer Service and they opened a case. Still no word. Called just now and was told that the parcel is in a shop and I needed to pick it up and send back to get a refund! Or I should wait for the shop to send it back before I get a refund. What's this??!!! I ended up paying for a product I don't have and am being asked to chase for it to get my money back. Utterly disappointed! Not helpful at all. I don't think I am ever buying Lancome again! 3rd party providers are much more reliable, think twice about the things you might be asked to do if you place an order on Lancome.co.uk - a sublime example of a very poor customer service!

Le 8 Hypnose - worst mascara ever!

I saw an advert for the (then) new Lancome Le 8 Hypnose mascara so went to my local House of Fraser store to buy it. It was the most expensive mascara I have ever bought but I thought since it looked so good with the serum in it which was supposed to volumise my lashes, I thought I'd treat myself. The worse mascara I have ever bought!! Terrible. I get hardly any product on the wand and it just looks like I have wet lashes and absolutely no volume whatsoever. After several weeks of trying to use it, my lashes are definitely not any different to when I started using it. An absolutely rubbish product!! Do not buy. Unfortunately I no longer have the receipt so can't take it back. This is the first and last Lancome product I will ever buy.

Greedy,, …huge disappointment

I asked a lady in Sainsburys recently what perfume she was wearing. She said lancome idole.. so off i wenr in pursuit to find out there are actually 4… so I asked Lancome via chat for samples. They said they dont send them out but to go to boots. I rang my small lical boots and they dont stock it. I drove half an hour away to a larger store ti be tood they dont have samples, only at xmas. I went to the perfume shop, same story, this perfume is approximately £75 so we refuse to buy on a whim without wearing it to try for a day… rubbish… how am I supposed to try new fragrances? I wouldn’t mind but i use genefique facial products, spending about 350 a year for the past 20 years. And they cant even send me samples that obviously they do have…. I expected better from this company.. happy to take my money but not assist me when required ….

I had a chat with representatives for…

I had a chat with representatives for lancome in a store they recommended me a foundation to match my skin tone...so when I got home I tried it on and it was the wrong shade completely they gave me 005 ...so I went back in to explain the issue and they just said because it wasn't the same employee I saw that I'd have to buy a new one and they couldn't just swap it to the shade I needed which was 006. So I've bought a product they recommended me and when I'm not happy with it they don't do anything about it. It's just disgraceful it's not cheap either ,I'm 30 or so pound down with a product I can't use.

I’ve Always Had Great Success Ordering

I’ve always had great success ordering from the Lancome website. When you subscribe you get sent the latest offers which are worth having as the products are normally very expensive. But the products are extremely good. I guess you get what you pay for.
I love getting complimentary samples with my orders because you get to try products that you normally wouldn’t purchase. Some of the samples have become my favourite buys, for example, Advanced Génifique Serum.
Lancome have lost one review star because I don’t like the complimentary samples that come in minuscule slim foil packages; the amount they yield isn’t enough to gauge any effect whatsoever. They’re a waste of time.
So please Lancome, when we place our orders with you, give us some decent sized samples!

Embarrassing....

Embarrassing....
Due to a mistake on their website they have their famous genifique serum for a tenner. I ordered one for myself, spred the word to relatives and ordered 3 more. I have received my orders very soon. You cannot imagine my surprise after I opened these boxes. There was a 7 ml sample of serum in each box! I phoned them immediately, spent 45 min talking to very nice man. As per his request, I emailed pictures of what I received. Their response was: this is what you ordered! You ordered 4 samples for a tenner each!
I kid you not. I responded with screnshoots of my orders. This time I received an email with apologies and information I would be sent missing serum and refunded. A few weeks later I received ONE serum. No more serums, no refund. I phoned them again. I was told that due to this mistake and high demand they were not able to fulfill these orders and I would be refunded (one day, some day....).
I will not be waiting longer, have just asked paypal for a refund
Poor lancome, cannot afford their mistake nor can they give me my £30 back.
Never again, stick to less popular but honest brands.

About the Lancôme brand's deceptive practices towards consumers

I don't even want to give it a star, I bought a 30ml essence from Lancôme and the price on the website was £10, yet I received a 7ml sample, I went to customer service for this and Lancôme claimed that I didn't pay for 30ml how could I receive 30ml, this is deceitful, insulting and untrustworthy. And blamed the consumer for the price issue on their website, for which I had to return the product and wait a long time for a refund. It was a very bad experience and made me realise that Lancôme as a brand does not have a qualified service. Many of my friends and people on the internet are starting to realise how bad Lancôme is and we will not buy from this brand again because of the disrespect!

If I could give 0 I would.

If I could give 0 I would.. this is not a rating of the
product but of this overall experience I've had with
the company and website, I ordered from this
website 2 weeks ago today, I got this cream as a
Mother's Day gift. I was never provided with a
tracking code or an update that my order was
shipped, I still have not got my item I ordered which
means I've spent over a 100 euros and have nothing
to show for it and will have no gift now for Mother's
Day. I've rang the customer service line three times
now and no one has gotten to the bottom of my
issue or even where my order is, I think this is crazy
for the amount of money your spending.. I asked to
speak to supervisor as I was getting no where with
agent, not once did any agent apologise for the
inconvenience this has caused and I'm still waiting
on a call back that probably won't happen. So now
I'm without a gift and 100 euro less in my account,
bare in mind I ordered well in advance to get product
in time and have still been let down. I would tell
people not to order from this website and go
somewhere else as it is clearly untrustworthy. Do
better guys as people are spending there money to
get their product and good customer service.

Dreadful Lancome

I purchased two Hypnose Volume -a-porter, on the 8th. March 22. The offer was buy one get one free and I also chose two free samples. I received the order on the 11th March. The box had been ripped and partly open. The only items left in the box were the tissue paper, one sample and a thank you card from Lancome. The mascaras were missing.

I immediately contacted customer service regarding this. The first lady I spoke to was very helpful and requested photos of the damaged box etc. I had difficulty sending the photos so I rang again, and again I spoke to a very helpful lady who talked me through what to do and the photos were received. I was told this would be passed to the relevant department, and I was invited to choose either a refund or replacement, I chose the latter.

I hadn't heard anything from Lancome by Monday 21.March and I emailed, asking were the replacement was. I did not get a reply. Today I rang customer services who told me  the department dealing with my issue  had reported on the 15th March, that they could not replace the mascara as it was not damaged. I was quite clear when I spoke to customer services, that they were missing from the parcel. They also said the sample could not be replaced, which is of no consequence. 

It has now been 13 days since I raised my complaint. I still don't have a replacement or a refund.

Never use again.

I have finally had my refund which has been owing since last November. No apology or explanation.
I will never order from Lancome again.
So disappointed.

Awful Customer service

They sent wrong shade of lipstick due to numbers being wrong on the website, customer service takes ages to respond to emails and they just fob you off in the phone. Email responses rude and abrupt. Won't purchase from their website ever again. Overall a stressful experience.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service - returned a duplicate gift and after numerous emails and attempts to resolve via telephone (wait times shocking) with uninterested verging on rude advisors I eventually got a refund over 6 weeks after they received the goods back. I will never buy direct from them again.

Appalling company

Appalling company. Ordered a Genifique gift set in the black Friday sale. Weeks later it hadn't arrived. I contacted Lancome and they took weeks to respond. Eventually had to open a case with PayPal to get a refund. It turns out that the gift set was out of stock. I won't bother with this brand anymore and think I will try Dior instead.

This has got to be the worst company in…

This has got to be the worst company in the Uk. Do not buy from them. My wife ordered a gift set and waited more than 2weeks for delivery. My wife called today - they said it's out of stock. However they are still selling the same product on their website. Their customer service is absolutely shocking. They are very rude and unfriendly and never say SORRY.
