I recently completed the Newcastle intensive course with Jordan and I enjoyed it a lot! I have been to three of his in person classes already and I am looking to come back for more whenever I can. Jordan's teaching approach is very detailed and he works on moulding your craft. He explores your natural instinct as an actor and expand upon it. I feel more confident with my performance and each time I join his classes, I feel my own growth. And I can also notice my classmates' growth in the classes as well, so I definitely strongly encourage everyone come join his classes.

Really great course, honestly can't fault it. Felt from the outset that the tutor was bringing a plethora of industry knowledge and on screen experience to our small and focused class.

We learned plenty on the craft of acting from the preparation process to technical skills on camera. On top of this I also gained a lot of valuable insights on being a working actor. My favourite exercise was the "Screen Test" on the final day, essentially a mock exam for if you find yourself fortunate enough to be in one of the final casting stages.

I feel like some previous acting workshops I've tried haven't offered such a comprehensive package as this one. We covered a lot of ground and by the end of the course I felt like a stronger actor and better equipped to face the challenges of the industry. Have recommended the course to a couple of acting friends since.

I had the most brilliant week training with Jordan in Edinburgh. The course is so practical and technical, which is exactly what I needed and wanted. I arrived without a clue about acting to camera and left having learned so much, feeling excited and ready to get film/tv work. Jordan made it all so fun and safe, even while encouraging us to be courageous and take the creative risks needed to be alive in the moment. I loved every second and was so impressed with Jordan and the standard of teaching and care. I’d recommend 100% to any actor wanting to learn the specifics of screen acting. Truly excellent. I recently completed the 5-Day Foundation Screen Acting course with Jordan in Edinburgh, and it was absolutely phenomenal. If you're undecided, just go for it—the passion, expertise, and professionalism from Knock and Nash were truly impressive. Jordan seamlessly integrated music into the sessions, guiding us through human emotions as if we were on a real film set. It's cheesy to say, but it was the most amazing experience I've ever had. 14/10 - take the leap, it's profoundly inspiring and transformative.

I had no proper actor training before this, didn’t do it at school and had never done a private class. The amount of progress I made in a week was genuinely incredible. Who knew how much there is to acting on screen!
Jordan doesn’t hold back with the content, he seemed to squeeze in everything but ensured each person was actually digesting the lesson before moving on. I honestly just enjoyed the energy he brought to it all.

I would honestly say if you want to get into screen acting save your time and money anywhere else and just do it properly. You leave feeling confident you could take it seriously if you decided to put in the hours.

Jordon promised a challenging yet fun education and he had delivered just that!

A thing that I had struggled with at first learning to experience the moment on film with every beginner actor. Throughout the five days he had broke downs the tactics, the blockades and exploring with our film recording to explain further. On the penultimate day of our course, myself and the rest of the class got so excited in our improvements that we had decided to a final recording on the final with only a evening to do our homework for a final filming.

Jordon was engaging, but was also down to earth on what an actor should and be. A bad coach would give praise for no reason.

If you're looking for fast-track, immersive training in the real-life demands and techniques of screen acting, this is the course for you. It's practical, intensive and highly realistic working with industry professionals, and the capped small group size means plenty of individual feedback which speeds up your progress. If you're prepared to work hard and step out of your comfort zone, you won't believe how far you can travel in just five days when you watch the results back on screen. There's no other training like this in the far north so thank you Knock & Nash for delivering this course in Carlisle so that more actors can easily access and benefit from your high quality, hands-on training. And thank you Jordan for your immense energy, commitment and passion for passing on your skills which was inspiring and really appreciated!

What an incredible week I just experienced with Knock&Nash. They offered a course in Carlisle, and I’m so pleased they did. Jordan was our coach and his energy and professionalism was 10/10 everyday. He pushed us and introduced us to understanding that our bodies, rather than our minds, were the foundation of brilliant acting and it was amazing how we changed over just five days with his guidance. We were all stage actors and almost had to unlearn what we knew… or thought we knew.
I would HIGHLY recommend this course.

Wow, what a fabulous course! Having been involved with amateur dramatics for 45 years this was such a refreshing and exciting course to do. Not only has it taught me techniques and given me tools to improve my stage work but it has also given me a thorough grounding in the basics of acting to camera. All delivered in a way that is exciting, stimulating and fun, whilst also challenging me at every turn. Jordan is a fantastic teacher and to have a course of this quality available in Carlisle is amazing. Can’t recommend enough!

I participated in the one week screen acting course taught by Jordan Tweddle. He brought amazing insight & experience as well as bundles of energy! I learnt a lot and really enjoyed the week. Fantastic to have this available in Newcastle and to not have to travel to London for this type of coaching. I would definitely recommend.

HIGHLY recommend!

I've attended many acting courses both in person and online and the Knock and Nash intensive is by far the best I've done! The class was capped at 6 which created a very safe and supportive environment - it really felt like people were there to learn rather than impress. It also meant everyone got an equal chance to be involved in exercises, be on camera and have personalised feedback.

After the 5 days, I really felt as though I progressed as an actor having gained both skill and confidence. Our tutor, Jordan, was a great mentor who is clearly very dedicated to his craft.

It was a great experience overall and I will be attending more Knock & Nash short courses and weekly classes.

I had an amazing time on nock and Nash’s five day intensive course with Jordan tweedle as a teacher. We not only worked emotionally, tapping into the body but also learnt how to work technically with the camera and prepare our scripts. I would 100% do this again I learnt so much and also had a lot of fun!

Jordan was a brilliant coach, he was very intuitive with feedback and was very supportive in each class. I wanted these classes as a refresher after drama school and it's really helped me return to an open, creative way of thinking! Can't wait for the next term!
