King's Rent a Car Arvostelua 

AVOID AVOID AVOID Terrible experience with King Cars Corfu, avoid at all costs, the cars are ancient and in terrible condition. We hired 2 cars and my partner's car clutch went on the second day. They refused to come and replace the car until we paid 300 euros as we hadn't taken breakdown cover, despite being told at pick up that breakdown cover wasn't required for breakdowns that weren't our fault. The company are con merchants hiring old cars and then charging astronomic amounts for recovery when they breakdown. We hire cars multiple times a year and have never had such an awful condition hire car or awful experience.

To start, they tried every tactic in the book to sell other insurances including using scare tactics. The car, it was battered, old and well past it's best. They wanted to check it on return, only if it had been run over by a tank would it look any worse...Wipers were broken, key fob was broken, gears were very poor, wouldn't go into 1st without a struggle, it's cheap here, and this is why. The pick up from the airport was in a van, not a mini bus, just a work van with seats.. it had even worse damage than the car, the sliding door I was next to didn't shut properly and kept opening as were driving along, also no windows, it was abysmal, and that's being kind. The "yard" was a just cabin in some back lot off some scruffy backstreet. I'll never use them again, and will tell anyone to avoid like the plague. Pay a bit more and go to a reputable company.

All'arrivo in aereoporto è mal spiegato come arrivare al noleggio, poi la macchina era molto vecchia e mal tenuta a differenza di quella pubblicizzata, alla riconsegna in modo veloce e spartano ci hanno caricati su un furgone e riportati all'aeroporto. Ancora peggio è che ci hanno rubato 400 euro la caparra che non ci hanno riacchreditato . Il piu pessimo Autonoleggio di Europa

Jeg er meget tilfreds med KING Rent a Car. Personalet var venligt, hjælpsomt og professionelt fra start til slut. Hele processen var nem og uden problemer, og bilen var ren og i god stand.

Det er tydeligt, at de går op i deres kunder og god service. Jeg kan varmt anbefale KING Rent a Car og vil helt sikkert bruge dem igen næste gang, jeg har brug for at leje en bil. 🚗👏

Honnêtement dés notre arrivée ça à été compliqué. Demande de supplément car la carte de crédit/débit n'appartenait pas au conducteur principal que nous avions inscrit pour la voiture.
Nous avons quand même payé alors que cette spécificité n'était même pas inscrite sur notre contrat.

Malheureusement on nous ai rentré dedans pendant le séjour, cerise sur le gâteau :/ nous avons du remplir des papiers et les envoyer à King's qui nous a finalement remboursé la caution.

Je vous conseillerais d'aller chez des agences qui ont vraiment beaucoup d'avis positif et lisez bien les contrats pour être sur d'être bien en arrivant.

Navetta aeroporto Heraklion introvabile. Chiamati più volte a telefono ma sempre indicazioni poco chiare. Alla fine noleggiato con Sixt in aeroporto direttamente.

Pessimi. Ho stipulato con loro un’assicurazione Kasko e, nonostante ciò, si sono comunque trattenuti la cauzione per un graffietto che, a quanto previsto, era coperto dall’assicurazione. Inoltre, la ragazza che ci ha assistito ha avuto dei modi estremamente sgarbati e, durante la discussione, è arrivata persino a insultarci. Un’esperienza davvero pessima e un servizio assolutamente inaccettabile. Sconsiglio vivamente di affittare con loro.

I am an experienced traveller and have rented many vehicles in the past. My experience with King's Rental was extremely poor. The vehicle was fine and the price very competitive. I took photos of the car on handover but it was difficult in bright sunshine to examine in detail. I was told that the car was to be returned clean inside and out. I returned the car clean and the agent spent almost 15 minutes taking photos and looking for issues. Eventually I was told that there were two scratches on the front bumper and rear wing. The latter was almost imperceptible. I was then charged €380 for the 'damage' including a penalty charge. This company is a complete ripoff and will find any reason to impose charges. Avoid at all costs.

Der Wagen war innen nicht sauber aber wir wurden direkt darauf hingewiesen,dass das Auto von UNS gewaschen und ausgesaugt zurückgegeben werden muss. Ansonsten werden 25-150,-€ fällig.

Öllampe leuchtet, Ölwechsel 850km überfälig. Reifendruck -Lampe leuchtet auch, wir stellen fest, hintem verliert ein Reifen immer wieder Druck.
Scheibenwischer unbrauchbar, liegt nicht auf. 78000km Laufleistung.
Wir haben ohne SB versichert, sind jetzt schon auf die Rückgabe gespannt.

Eine Anzahlung mit Debitkarte vorab wurde akzeptiert. Vor Ort wurde auf eine Kreditkarte bestanden, für Barzahlung sollten 480 Aufpreis bezahlt werden. Finger weg von dieser Firma, wir haben am Flughafen günstiger gebucht

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Absolutely abysmal experience - I paid significantly more for a Fullsize vehicle which was required for my needs, only to find the rental company did not even stock larger vehicles, so received a small poorly maintained vehicle.
Awful customer experience and I suspect this company is run on a shoe string, cutting corners and doing the very bare minimum...whilst going unchecked by brokers who allow customers to book with them despite repeated negative experiences so they get away with taking advantage of customers.

We received a car that was much smaller than the one we had booked. The rental company claimed it was in the same "category," but if we wanted a car that was actually comparable in size, we had to pay a significant extra fee.

The car itself was in very poor condition. The air conditioning didn't work well, the doors were damaged and wouldn't stay open, and the manual gearbox was in terrible shape, it was difficult to shift gears smoothly. Overall, the vehicle felt very low quality and poorly maintained.

I would not recommend renting a car here. There are plenty of other rental companies that offer much better service and better-maintained vehicles.

AVOID. They tried their best to find a mark on the car so they could charge us. Car was in poor condition and they aren’t located near the airport. Staff are rude!

Leider war dies mein einziges negatives Erlebnis auf einer ansonsten wunderschönen Reise nach Kreta.

Wichtig zu wissen: Kings Rent a Car wird am Flughafen Heraklion vom lokalen Betreiber AutoDask Rentals abgewickelt. Wer Kings bucht, hat vor Ort mit AutoDask zu tun.

1. WASCHGEBÜHR: Ich habe das Fahrzeug sauber zurückgegeben — gereinigt, kein Schmutz, kein Sand. Trotzdem wurde mir ohne Vorwarnung €20 für eine Autowäsche berechnet. Im Mietvertrag steht lediglich, das Fahrzeug in "sauberem Zustand" zurückzugeben — eine Autowäsche wurde nie erwähnt. Eine Autowäsche vor Ort kostet €4. Die Gebühr war völlig ungerechtfertigt.

2. TANKSTAND: Das Fahrzeug wurde mir mit 2,5/8 Tank übergeben — nicht voll, wie zunächst behauptet. Bei der Rückgabe versuchten sie, mir eine Differenz zu berechnen und behaupteten, der Tank sei bei Übergabe voll gewesen. Erst nach meinem Widerspruch haben sie nachgeprüft und zugegeben, dass ich Recht hatte. Das fühlte sich wie ein bewusster Versuch an, Geld von einem Kunden zu nehmen, der seinen Flug nicht verpassen wollte.

3. VERSICHERUNGSDRUCK: Ich hatte bereits eine vollständige Versicherung online abgeschlossen. Trotzdem wurde ich am Schalter massiv gedrängt, eine zusätzliche Versicherung direkt bei ihnen zu kaufen — mit dem Hinweis, meine bestehende Deckung würde im Schadensfall möglicherweise nicht anerkannt. Das war irreführend und unter Druck gesetzt.

Ich habe in mehreren Ländern Mietwagen genutzt — solche Praktiken habe ich noch nie erlebt. Alle anderen Menschen und Geschäfte auf Kreta waren freundlich und ehrlich. Nur dieses Unternehmen nicht.

Nicht empfehlenswert.

Tutto perfetto, sia il ricevimento all'aeroporto che l'auto ricevuta con la quale siamo riusciti a visitare moltissimi luoghi dell'isola grazie alle sue buone prestazioni. Personale gentile, cordiale e disponibile.

I do not recommend this company.

In December 2024, I rented a BMW M3 Competition. According to the signed agreement, the rental period was 1 day (14.12.2024 – 15.12.2024). On the same day, I had an accident.

A company representative came to the scene and told me that, since I was a tourist and leaving the country, I needed to transfer 50,000 AED as a deposit. I was clearly told that I would pay exactly 20% of the repair cost, the rest would be refunded, and that there would be no additional charges such as loss of use.

I trusted the company and transferred the money.

After that, communication became difficult. I was repeatedly asked to wait, no clear updates were provided, and eventually communication stopped completely. At this point, I am being ignored.

I also tried to resolve this through DED (Dubai Consumer Protection), but the case was closed without a clear resolution.

What concerns me most is that the documents later provided do not match the original agreement. While my contract shows a 1-day rental, I was later presented with documents indicating a 153-day rental period, along with a total charge exceeding 230,000 AED.

At this point, the issue remains unresolved and communication from the company is absent.

I strongly recommend documenting all terms in writing before making any payments.

Avoid this company, ive just read a carbon copy of our experience. Our plane was about 40 mins late, early afternoon, no one waiting to meet us, I called them, then 20 mins later I called again, a very nice lady picked us up, odd as I thought we collected from the airport. Taken to a Scabby yard at the back of the airport, we where greeted by a horrible rude man called Spiros Kardaksris who informed us as we where late (bearing in mind they had flight number and tel number) they had given our car away, so we can have another if pay €40 euro more, we refused, hard sell on insurance (I had excess policy) then if we break down with flst tyre we need to pay €300... He eventually gave us a knackered looking Corsa, we found out air con pretty hopeless and if air con on, the car wouldn't pull, and we where staying up the mountain, Agioi Deka, knackered wipers, filthy seats etc.Just avoid this scammer and not put another € in his pocket. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Perfect! The staff was friendly and helpful from start to finish, the car was clean and economic, no hidden fees or charges. Highly recommend it to everyone!
