Do Kenko even taste their own coffee? How the recent change to Kenko Gold has been allowed I dont know. It isnt nice to drink anymore, with 3/4 of a jar going in the bin rather than drinking it.

This new recipe is terrible. Been a Kenco smooth drinker for over 30 years and the 100% freeze dried was perfect. This new stuff is truely rotten, horrible taste and leaves a deposit of horrible dark scum at the bottom of the cup. I guess the reason for the new formula and shrinkflation is cost cutting and damn the loyal customers who were perfectly happy with the old coffee. Well goodbye Kenco may your sales tank, I'm off to buy 100% freeze dried elsewhere.

What ever you have done undo it. Drinking smooth since the early 90's thousands of jars have gone through our cupboards. This is now the most dire tasting coffee I have endured. It began with damn that milk must be sour, I even changed the milk source thinking it must be at the dairy side, but no it's actually your coffee. Another case of a company ruining what it made because some suited penny pusher thought we wouldn't notice, I hope you notice i'm not buying Kenco anymore. Everyone that has a coffee at mine after years of recommending Smooth will be told its not the dishwater tablet that left the funny taste in their cup , that was actually how Kenco smooth now tastes.

As a Kenco Smooth drinker for years, I am so disappointed with the new version. A change in packaging has also meant a change in recipe. Brown scum floats on top and brown sludge sits on the bottom. It doesn't taste the same. Such a massive shame. I'll now try and find a different coffee to drink. See ya Kenco, it's been great.

This is now unfortunately one of the worst tasting brands of coffee which was once loved. The manufacturer really should listen to its consumers ( we have been your loyal customers) and revert to the previous formula. If you do you will need to advertise original recipe otherwise people won’t take the chance.

I have drunk millicano for years and it’s my favourite instant coffee. I even buy huge bulk tins. I bought some last week and what on earth have they done!!! It’s disgusting and now powdery! Tastes cheap and bitter, absolutely hate it, I’m gutted….

Why did Kenco change the instant coffee recipe?? I loved Kenco coffee and drank no other! But the recent jars I’ve bought are terrible! The scum left on the mug and the sludge at the end of the cup is really off putting!
I will be looking for alternative product.

After drinking Kenco Dark Roast for years, I'm having to admit defeat, I cannot drink the new one with 10% ground coffee, horrible dark sludge at the bottom of the cup, will not be buying kenco anymore, I'm so disappointed

Very unhappy with the new Kenco. Flavour lacking depth. Texture gritty. Not fully dissolving. I have been drinking and enjoying Kenco for over 30 years and will now have to look for another coffee. Please please go back to your previous blend. Kenco read the reviews!! Listen to your customers.

The new orange logo which has replaced the Millicano Original is horrible and my family agrees.
Will try Nescafe.

Had the new millicano decaf today and it's awful will be returning 2 unopened tins to shop and have complained direct to Kenco, I suggest others do the same.

Oh Kenco what have you done? My lovely Kenco Rich, go to coffee for decades, has been ruined. It doesn't dissolve properly, leaves a chalky sludge in the bottom and tastes awful. Please change it back. I won't be buying it again otherwise. Binned the open one and returned the 2 others I had for a refund. I complained and received this response...

We have recently changed our recipe by adding a small amount of ultra-finely ground roasted coffee to our Kenco Rich and Kenco Smooth blends, enhancing their flavour and authentic coffee character.

These blends were tested in consumer research with a number of our regular Kenco coffee drinkers showing that the updated blends remain at the same high standard.

The change in the recipe does mean there is a slight difference in taste and you may see a small amount of natural coffee residue in your cup - considering coffee grind is insoluble, such residue is to be expected and very normal for this product.

Once again we are sorry you are disappointed with the new recipe. We really value your feedback and will make sure it’s shared with our coffee specialists for future development.

I used to love your coffee. Now you’ve changed the deliciously smooth taste to a bitter tasting version which leaves a horrible sludge at the bottom of the cup. Very sad to leave your beans after decades of buying it. To add insult it’s gone up in price! I’d have paid more for the old version. Bad decision Kenco!

Have always bought Kenco rich but won't be buying it again. Unfortunately, I've got 2 jars sitting in the cupboard purchased before realising the changes. Waste of money and very disappointed.

Whst on earth have you done other than change it to the taste and consistency of earth.
Sludge at the bottom. I thought I had a bad jar but no it seems this is it now.

They have changed Kenco Millicano from what was a nice tasting granule based coffee to an awful, generic powder based coffee that now tastes foul. Absolutely shocking. And they've made both sizes smaller as well. Shrinkflation and enshittification double whammy.

Have had millicano decaf for years. Shall now be looking for an alternative decaf. Taste is now completely different and leaves a brown sludge in the bottom of the cup. This is most certainly not an improvement

Kenco Smooth, what has happened, New Jar, reduced qty and worst of all does not dissolve properly anymore, makes a mess of your mug, residue at the bottom. Come on Kenco you have been by favorite coffee for as long as I can remember, stop cutting corners and give us the quality brand back, very disappointing, I shall not be buying more until this gets fixed

Kenco Millicano Decaf coffee has died. As somebody that has to drink decaf and also drinks soy milk I have avoided all other similar products as they often tasted bitter and weak, and also often curdled the milk. Kenco have effectively a product that is no different to those cheap imitations found in the likes of Aldi or Lidl. This coffee is now a weak and bitter powder coffee that curdles milk. If anybody can recommend me a suitable replacement product I would love to know.

Greedy profiteering, andhave now reduced the product to a 1star rating from me. This renewed formula is vile and will not be continuing my long time purchases from them.
