Vile disgusting people who overstep…
Vile disgusting people who overstep their job roles. Doing a vile mash referall which almost landed my neurodiverse child in foster care because I told these vile job centre staff I was grieving my dead nan and wasn't feeling very positive at the time. They told the scum that are social I was suicidal etc. Which was not even true. Putting a child through unnecessary trauma and uncertainty is beyond unforgivable. I will be suing the local auhtority and the job centre once this vile situation is over, a situation me and my child should never have been in if it wasn't for the vile staff member who did this.
Unprofessional staff
For someone with poor mental health and really bad anxiety I was upset by the rude and arrogant receptionist! Doesn’t have any many’s but extremely rude and passive aggressive! I almost walked out
PREDATORY AND HOSTILE ENVIRONMENT FOR…
(Aylesbury job centre)PREDATORY AND HOSTILE ENVIRONMENT FOR THOSE SEEKING HELP AND ASSISTANCE
Do not expect any real support from this organization. The environment is highly toxic, and certain staff members appear to project their own personal issues onto the people they are supposed to help. There is a deep-seated culture of control, where staff members attempt to create financial instability and foster dependency rather than offering genuine assistance.
I ultimately had to leave after experiencing targeted harassment from a staff member who used triangulation tactics and threatened me with unwarranted sanctions, reviews, and unsolicited commitments. I reported this behavior three times, but received absolutely no assistance—instead, the harassment only intensified. I chose not to take my complaint any further, as I believe having to work in such a miserable environment is punishment enough, and I refuse to waste any more of my free time on them. They are incredibly lucky I didn’t involve the police.
Fortunately, I am not financially dependent on them, but the experience was deeply unsettling. The culture here is predatory, with staff actively looking for opportunities to trip you up rather than lift you up. My heart breaks for anyone who is fully dependent on this organization and has no choice but to deal with them.
I'd like to believe there are potentially helpful staff inside, unfortunately I was not able to experience that because of the toxic members blocking me from moving to a new work Coach.
half full - half empty
Lovely staff, but not built for skilled job seekers
I've been using the Jobcentre Plus in Stirling since I was made redundant. As part of Universal Credit I have to attend regular appointments with a work coach, who is meant to help me get back into work. I'd give it 2.5 stars if I could, so 3 it is. It really is a glass half full, half empty situation.
The half full part is the staff. Everyone I've dealt with has been kind and understanding. They know the people coming through the door are struggling with unemployment, mental health and everything that comes with it, and they treat you like a person. Catherine in particular was brilliant, and she put me forward for some open days, which was really helpful. They also offer appointments by video call, which is a good option to have.
The half empty part is the support itself. It feels designed for people looking for roles that don't need a degree or specialist experience, like retail or delivery work. I'm not looking down on those jobs at all. But I'm a .NET developer, a specialism within software development, and apart from pointing me to sources I was already using, there hasn't been much they can do. Maybe that's partly down to Stirling being a small city, but helping people find work is the whole point of the service.
The bigger issue for me is the "coach" part. I expected one person who would follow my progress and get to know my situation. Instead, I've had four appointments so far with four different people, and each time I have to introduce myself again. It's never "since we last spoke…", it's "I can see on the system that…", and from what I can tell they read up on me a few minutes before I arrive. That's an advisor, not a coach. Again, I don't blame the staff for this. It's the process that doesn't work.
What makes me a bit sad is that this isn't optional. To get support from the government I have to use this service, and most of what it does for me I could do on my own. For comparison, one hour with Skills Development Scotland was far more productive than my Jobcentre appointments have been.
I'm writing this as constructive feedback, because I believe the service could be adjusted for the better.
After working for 35 years from age of…
After working for 35 years from age of 17 contributing to my pension fund. I found myself unemployed due to redundancy i can only claim jsa as my partner has a job earning over 25k per year, fairly normal tbh so dont get anything other than £90 pw. This will not pay for anything tbh, so expect my partner to oay the mortgage, bills, petrol food, i have nothing, no pride, worth, contribution, i cannot fill the car with petrol per week . My partner is portuguese and been in uk for 26 years we been married 17 years he has now supported me to live, his father died suddenly last week so we flew backfor funeral last friday he was buried saturday as so quick there as catholic...paid by my partner ..now my claim been cancelled and closed as left country!! I am at college 2 days a week i…
I am at college 2 days a week i volunteer 2 days a week snd also started work 2 to 3 days a week i got 2 days wage from doing a month in hand, job centre will not help me with bus pass without me telling them a range of things I have already twice, I reported the change in circumstances and now they want all sorts of information from my workplace to potentially be able to get any help, i honestly believe if I wasn't british id get more help, if I was loving pip id get more help, if I was working 8 hours and saying i do it just to keep them off my back, they would help me more this is fact because I know many who do it, im working hard asf walking 2 hoir to get to work and 2 hour home because they wont help so its just waiting for a month until I can afford to get my own bus pass, I think everyone should take the scum that is nelson job centre in Lancashire to court they shouldnt be allowed to get away with it £70 you can take them to court its going to be only way to make them change. Ive got years of bs they sent towards me i cant wait until someone takes it seriously

people who work here are unhinged
people who work here are unhinged. manager stopped my claim and they failed to pay out benefit owed to me because her plan to humiliate me when they called the police backfired, after she lied to them. In an act of revenge, a pattern that this particular office has repeated in 2019, they abused their position of authority and power . In 2019 as a victim of modern slavery they had refused to give me benefits because I did not have a phone and judicially reviewed them. they then gave me benefits but implemented a fraudulent recovery and demonstrated how easy it was to add and remove data from customers records. Theya re vile and repulsive and sadistic.
Job Centre - Grays
I had a JSL appointment on 24/09 at 9am. The person who was meant to be doing my appointment turned up 20 minutes late with no apology. One of her colleagues had started the appointment. I had given proof of my UK citizenship and was already being belittled for bringing one less identification form. I told them it wasn't clear on the website. Once passed over to the person who was doing my meeting, she was rude and abrupt, it felt like I was being belittled the whole time I was there. Once the meeting was finished, I got rudely dismissed like a naughty child.
I phoned the helpline to update them of my circumstances (I don't think it should be called a helpline) and again got treated with the same service. The staff need people skills and also a massive customer service training day.
Like most people, if I could give 0 stars, I would.
Birmingham Snow Hill is a terrible…
Birmingham Snow Hill is a terrible jobcentre the staff are rude arrogant and unprofessional. My personal rating for them is 2/10.
absolutely brilliant
Tony was absolutely brilliant in assisting me, very understanding & went above & beyond.
recently unemployed
Having recently become unemployed and needing to attend weekly appointments is upsetting enough but my experience has been awful. Staff barely give eye contact their communication is via their computer sent to your universal account.
They clearly do not read all your entries that you have taken the time to input.
They make you feel useless and are condescending to the point it does affect your metal health. They clearly do not have good communication skills or understanding of people’s needs.
I only wanted to eat
Faust sold his soul for unlimited knowledge. Apparently mine was worth £13 a day and some so called ‘employment support’. I only wanted enough money to eat. By the time I realised I'd apparently entered into a pact, Gary at desk 6 already had my claimant commitment. Now I spend eternity in the seventh circle of Hell, tormented by petty little desk tyrants and compulsory appointments. In hindsight, hunger may have been the better option.
What a waste of time
What a waste of time. After loosing my job I applied to sign on a had to wait two weeks for my appointment. By this time I had found a new job and took time off work to sign on and off. When I arrived the lady wrote everything down on her notebook and explained that I might not get anything.
After over a week I still had nothing from them, so not only did I had to go to that demoralizing place, I also lost wages for nothing.
I could definitely do a better job.
Totally useless.
When i am in surpported living i need…
When i am in surpported living i need more money like either every week or every 2 weeks cos I cant live i cant always ask my dad for my saving money what about if anything happens to dad then I'm buggered
not great service
i at my latest appointment i be told the following advise do not put address on cv ad this apparently pus employers of giving a job and also told tailor your cv to every job you go for, only go back last 10 years of work history and put the rest down as additional experience. You are not filling in applications properly and not answering interview questions, are you dressed correctly for interview. This is all a load of rubbish and they always blame the job seeker not the employer. jobcentre does not have a clue what they are talking about. tailor your cv everytime you apply for a different job. they put skils for the job by cut and paste from national careers website and most of the skills you do not have and this means you are liar to a employer to get a job and please the job centre which ou want to get off your back asap to avoid all this rubbish. also the job they got me to apply for is a hygiene team member with cook on the night shift which i clearly not want to do night work.
Horrific experience in local job centre.. (Doncaster UK)
Horrific experience in local job centre (Doncaster). I was assigned to jobcoach Nick. Be on your guard as his humour is incredibly dry and condescending to say the very least..
So much to the point that I had wasted my own time in there altogether after filling out various online information beforehand and was asked to come back again another time due to apparently not filling everything out according to what they were wanting? Even though they had every ample opportunity in letting me know all of this before I came out, yet decided only doing so in person instead.
Do not waste your time or energy on this lot as they don't seem to want to help out anybody that's British as you're only seen as should be able not to struggle and get by accordingly..
ALWAYS change your appointment time…
ALWAYS change your appointment time without telling you, then randomly call you and say you have “missed your scheduled appointment” which makes no sense as it was never scheduled for that time/date, you’ve just randomly changed it without saying anything. Very poor service
The job centre is horrible. They don’t even look after the people. They’re meant to look after. What kind of service is this terrible.
horrible service they meant to help the people that are in need for a job and they don’t even do their job properly. Think about it so I went to Thailand on a holiday. I come back and they’ve made it harder for me to apply cause I’m trying to find a job and I’m basically homeless. I’ve lived in the UK for 26 years and paid my tax. They have cancelled my claim three times in a row. which I don’t understand they should just let me claim the benefit that I’m allowed but they cancel my claim. They asked me for three months statement i gave it to them and they still cancelled my claim after three months. I’ve no support they still keep cancelling my claim thinking I’m some immigrant but I’ve been in a country for 26 years. I am fluent in English and I never left apart from going to a holiday and and they treat me like this. What a bunch of horrible team they are. I explained to the Lady and called them today and they said they’ll get back to me in three days which is too late so I started a new claim but it’s wrong that they do this to people. I just want other people to be aware if I could give them zero Star I would.
I need job because helping people good…
I need job because helping people good team working with friends together
