Jewelsbykaurs Arvostelua 

I went to Jewelsbykaurs with the intention of supporting a small business, traveling all the way from East London to give her a chance. Unfortunately, this turned into one of the most stressful and disheartening experiences I’ve ever had, especially during such an important time for me.
From the start, the lighting in her studio was poor, making it difficult to properly see the jewellery. I had to step outside multiple times just to get a clearer view. Despite my attempts to make an informed choice, her tone throughout made me feel pressured to purchase something, as though I was obligated simply because I was there.
After much back and forth, I selected jewellery for my mum, and mehndi jewellery. The next morning, under proper lighting, I realized the jewellery didn’t match my outfit. I politely asked for a refund, explaining my situation, but she outright refused.
I explained to her, I had recently lost a family member, and I told her I was struggling with anxiety and couldn’t deal with unnecessary stress. I hoped for some understanding, but she completely ignored my vulnerability. Instead, she took advantage of it, continuing to pressure me into decisions I wasn’t comfortable with. It was clear her only priority was getting my money.
At no point during my visit was I made aware of a strict no refund or exchange policy. Had this been communicated, I would have been more cautious in my decisions. As a bride preparing for a significant event, I wanted everything to be perfect. Instead of understanding my concerns, she accused me of “moaning” and implied I was being difficult. Of course, I spent time—it’s my big day, and I had every right to ensure I was happy with my choice.
Her refusal to refund left me with no option but to exchange the items, which I returned immediately via first-class delivery. Even then, she charged me additional fees for “changing the beads” (which was not mentioned to me and seemed as if she was making up prices just to get money in her pocket) and for next-day delivery, which I had also paid for when I sent her item back. After all this, she refunded a mere £16.
This entire ordeal left me feeling exploited and anxious at a time when I should have been excited and happy. She didn’t hesitate to add to my stress, showing no compassion or care for me as a customer.

Before I visited Jewelsbykaurs, she was extremely eager for me to come, constantly encouraging me to choose her over other jewellery vendors. She even advised me not to go to anyone else, which I found a bit pushy. I explained to her that I was in the hospital and dealing with personal challenges, but despite knowing this, she continued to pressure me to visit her studio. Her eagerness quickly turned into indifference after the sale was made, and now she chooses to ignore my concerns entirely. Her lack of empathy and disregard for my situation is deeply disappointing.

If you’re considering Jewelsbykaurs, I strongly urge you to reconsider. Her lack of professionalism, transparency about her no-refund policy, and disregard for customer well-being speak volumes. Just to mention, I have been referred to her, I’ve not found her on instagram nor did I know she has a website. but as a business surely, you should let your customers know about your no refund or exchange policy so your customers are well aware. Supporting a small business should be a positive experience, but this was anything but.
