Love the body pump and abs classes!
Have to say only negative is the water. Very metallic aftertaste dread running out mid session

Terrible experience Coatbridge branch.. Tried to cancel, nothing processed, charged 2+ years after moving away, member of staff said 'they made it difficult for customers to cancel'... and 'good luck' getting any money back!!!
Complained via email, copy and paste responses.

Terrible service, no empathy, worst experience yet!

Really enjoy coming . Equipment very good and very friendly atmosphere. Josh holmes has been my personal trainer and would highly recommend this guy . One of the best out there .

Avoid completely 4-8pm,
2 many school kids just F##king about
Its a Shame cause its a well equipped gym.

I have been going to this gym for a year now (the longest I think i have ever stuck with a gym!) and I love it. There is a huge range of equipment for all types of exercise and the staff are fab.
I bit the bullet and signed up with a PT in July and Lara has baan amazing. She is so friendly and knowledgeable and totally there for you. The results have been fantastic, I am doing exercises and weights I thought I would never do! Cannot recommend highly enough!

The staff make this gym! Friendly, supportive and really helpful. It’s got everything you need, it’s clean and tidy and a great gender balance of both staff and customers.

I’ve been training at this gym for a few months now and can honestly say it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made for my health and fitness. The facilities are clean, well maintained, and have everything you need (whether you’re lifting, doing cardio, or just stretching)
The real game changer for myself has been working with Lara as my personal trainer. She is so knowledgable, motivating, and genuinely invested in helping everyone she comes across in the gym. (Everyone always stops and says hello to us it’s great)

A great gym with a good range of equipment. Helpful staff, part of the enhance coaching team and trained by PT Lara who is brilliant and a credit to the gym!

Great gym. Been going for around 4 months now and never had any issues. PT Lara has been so helpful and informative and has really helped build my confidence across all areas of my workouts. Can't fault the place.

Was a bit nervous about joining a gym especially in regards to my weight and having no idea where to start with working out but the Coatbridge branch of JD has been a great experience. Both the staff and other gym goers have been very welcoming and encouraging.

Good gym but massively let down by no working AC and no cleaning facilities. Both these combined creates a totally unhygienic environment. I have previously complained about no cleaning facilities and they don't want to do anything about it (likely cost related) but everyone gets sick in winter.
AC hasn't been working for multiple months, again also complained about by multiple people multiple times, which is totally unacceptable and unsafe.

too hot! air con been broken for months nothing to do with the nature of the building the air con isn’t fit for purpose it needs upgrading and fixing no fans or coolers hired even during the heatwaves each day gets worse thinking of cancelling.

Have been complaining about no air con working in the gym now for over 6 months! Complained to the manager and got a response of go into the spin studio its cool in there, absolutely useless to anyone! Also the state of repair in the gym is falling to bits, toilet seats broken, benches in changing rooms falling to bits, multiple machines broken etc the list goes on! Also the state of hygiene in the gym is disgusting there is absolutely zero facilities for members to wipe down any equipment after use literally zero!

Air con has been broke for months at Coatbridge

I love going to this gym, there is a large range of equipment. The only down side is the gym has been roasting recently having the air con on would help. There is no wipe down station to clean equipment after use.

Pros:
Good equipment
Plenty of space
Can do all sorts of different training here - body building, oly lifting, Boxing, functional/crossfit, classes
If you go at the right time it's not too busy
Some of the staff are nice and friendly.
It's reasonably priced

Cons
Car park an absolute disaster
Little gym ettiqute on display (folk think it's acceptable to not returns weight etc)
Some of the staff walk around with their faces tripping them 24/7 (get a new job if ye hate it that much)
It doesn't have any gym culture or camaraderie between members feels like a production line in a massive factory of people training in isolation, little chat or regard for others.

Not that great. Cleanliness is very poor toilets and showers are disgusting and rarely any soap in the dispensers. Not a wipe down/hygiene station in site could do with the air con on. They have policies in place which they don’t enforce. Plus side good range of machines.

2nd Spin class with Derek tonight. For a newly qualified instructor excellent class and mix of music. Coming on a treat,good that he's getting the opportunity. Be even better if he finishes with the Foo Fighters 😆 🤣

As someone who started at the gym in January with the aim of losing weight I always fancied taking on spin classes but took a few months to build up the courage to take it on. The first class I went to was taken by David Carrol, I was made to feel welcome. Given great instruction and assistance on how to set the bike up and posture during the class. I’ve been going to most of David’s classes for the last 6 months as I really enjoy the and I get the work out I’m looking for!

What can I say....I have been attending davies classes for over a decade, back to his NL days. Always professional, encouraging and enthusiastic. Welcomes all participants the same and is supportive and encouraging to new class members. Music and routines are amazing as well!
