There's all the right equipment, its clean , staff are friendly, place is refurbished , people are nice, the gym is great and they also have great facilities!

Hello.
I want to cancel the membership and be refunded my money.
I paid on-line yesterday, and went to the gym for the first time last night.
The gym is awful, and the equipment is so bad I was nearly injured.
I'm 6' 6", and your equipment does not work.
First, I tried the normal, flat, bench press. The benches have these black pegs that stick out exactly where my feet need to be, so it is horrendous to try to use. They were stabbing into the back on my ankles.
I then went on to try the incline bench press. The bench is so useless, the seat is at the floor, so there is no way to adjust it to go any lower. I got on the bench, and my face was already past the pegs at the top, so it isn't possible for me to use without hitting them. You have decided to have incline benches that for some reason, when plates are put on the sides and you bring the bar down, it will hit the other plates, smash into them and possibly injure you. This happened to me and is not acceptable. It's a complete joke.
I tried to use the normal, movable, benches. The seat on them can't even be put flat, so there is no way to sit on them and do any flat exercises. Who thought that was acceptable?
I also tried your cables, which again only work for some-one about 5' 10". Every rep' the weight was just hitting at the top. It's ridiculous.
I then couldn't even get out the gym because my phone was dying and your scanners wouldn't scan the code.
I won't be coming there again and want my money back. I was nearly injured on your horrendous benches.

Impressive Strength Equipment
Actually really impressed with the equipment. Historically most commercial gyms shy away from having proper platforms - plenty here. The strength equipment has a great balance to it and never seems to busy to complete a session if you don't mind switching up your routine.

Cleanliness is poor weights are not put back compared to Swindon Jd gym overall disappointing. Some equipment needs maintenance work done. I’d say slightly better then pure gym at this point.

JD Gym Review - Mark Townsend
I’ve been training at JD for the past 3 years but the past few months have completely transformed my experience having now picked up one of their own PTs who’s hard work has been recognised and paid off with his role at JD Bristol. Mark Townsend has been brilliant for me and others too and has really driven me to see progress in my fitness journey, especially needing that expertise and care and passion following recovery from a recent operation and I’m now lifting heavier than ever before !! While I did enjoy JD before I am now loving and even looking forward to my workouts and more motivated than I’ve been at all through out my journey which I can hands down say is down to Mark.
